Not to take away from their skills at all, but there's another unseen highly skilled person that will step in and cut custom glass for this truck. Someone like my dad, who has hand cut hundreds, if not thousands of windshields, door glasses and back glasses for chopped hot rods in the past 60+ years. It really takes a good team of people working together to accomplish things like this.

Well Done Chad and Jolene on accomplishing the 5 window roof chop in front a large group of fans . The gentleman who was assisting you was very organized and you complimented him that he was like Doug at the shop back home.
I liked your first idea about measuring the door window opening at the back and the door window opening at the front so the original door glass can still be used and will roll up into the fuzzy strip and be ‘square’.
Pretty cool the way Chad did the chop because the only glass needs to be made is the front windshield. Any chop glass would be the main concern to cut and fit it in. Flat glass would be the easiest dealing with curve glass is a whole different story.
Chad and Joline are great people Australia loves them. he is a great teacher. the way he does things are controversial by some people. he gives great inspiration to have a go and do it.
Chad & Jolene the chop looks really good Chad is the man! I would like more of a chop but, Chad is right about the 3 back windows it becomes a real hassle cutting down the size of the windows especially with the corner windows the way they are curved it would make it really hard to get glass cut for it and it would also be so much more work with much more cutting and welding. That was about a 2 hour chop to this point that is pretty darn good! Jolene great video work as always you are the best!
Chad is looking like a shop class instructor, maybe he should think about giving classes back at home base. Can you imagine that? Wow! I would love to be in that class.
Excellent chop job! I like your way of working with the metal, instead of trying to bend it to your will. The back and sides look to be a proper chop. The actual windshield, in comparison still appears a bit large... but instead of more cutting, perhaps a small custom shade piece (awning thingy) would work. Plus, I think it would suit the rest of the truck. Keep up the great work.
Amazing,,consider this folks ,new country,new different tools,big bunch of live audience and onky a few hours day prior to think n plan.. most ppl would rightfully be very nervous ubder the circumstances. Chad looked nervous at the beginning with live viewers instead only jolenes camera. but after starting he came alive and you can easily see the professional that these two are accustomed to do.... Chad still likes honesty and easily admits hes made a mistake early on but under the live circumstances i think we all would ,but,would we openly admit it or just carry on hoping .. they are both truly professionals,i knew it was going to be great ,i cant wait for tomorrow..this IS by far the best ever best video the Hiltz company has ever put out. thats the simple truth,its 5 star entertainmet at its finest..
like him or Not you must admit he's the Master at body tin manipulation as well as finishing the body tin.. as he often say's.. take what ya like and discard what ya don't on YOUR own build.. Great instructional on "How too" chop one.. I don't agree with a lot of his Frame modification materials and thoughts but totally would follow his direction on tin work..
I think you nailed the chop. Regarding what the guy said about not chopping to base of the door I think that would have made the next lot of fab work more difficult, it’s going to need to be manipulated now the side angle has change so there would be a cut there anyway but if that part of the door was still attached it would have made fitting g the roof harder

I’m struggling with the radius at the base of the A pillars. I’m not at all a fan of the resulting difference. I’m not hanging shit on him at all but I just wouldn’t want it done to that standard if it were my truck.
A Sun Visor added to the cab will hide the oversize windshield and make the chop perfect. Nice! Notice how their welder didn't have the high pitch whine? Please change your welder to make viewing your videos so much better.

It's not chopped, you lowered the top, chopping is lowering the stock height of the windows.
