Yeah, much in our society wants us to curb our anger, because we will upset "someone". I've discovered that many people in my circles are angry as well, but go through the motions of hiding it. As soon as we started talking, it began to flow. Some good actions came out of it too. So embrace it! ❤️

I choose to believe that you can survive a nuclear war and have a good life afterwards. That may sound odd and strange, but it doesn't sound any stranger than following a book your entire life with a promise of Optimal Health and intelligence to enjoy Paradise for all eternity. Give me the impossibility of both of those two beliefs, I will choose the scientifically possible one of surviving a nuclear Holocaust
Surviving nukes is not impossible. Mostly a question of where you are when people decide we need some more temporary suns on earth. Being in a major city of one of the main nuclear powers, means you are a target. You can hope that your nation has competent anti missile systems, and that certainly will help reduce the casulties. But no defense system is 100% effective. Even taking an assumption that a given nation can shoot down 90% of all missiles fired at it... that's 10% that gets through. OF a thousand, nuclear weapons fired at a single country. 100 would get through. If you live in the northern hemisphere, I wish you luck. Your survival, is unlikely long term due to radiactive fallout being carried around the stratosphere. If you live in the southern hemisphere, things will be... better. Relatively. I still don't expect to survive a blast. I live and work in one of my nation's state capitals, and Aus being an ally of the US, might get caught up in the nuclear target list. But I might get lucky.

I paused the video at 18:00 because I needed to take a moment and ground myself in that reality. At the time of writing this, I am at work in a store in the mall. The AC is running and I am looking out at the various people walking past. It's an outdoor mall, and I have a view of a fountain spewing streams of water into a constantly flowing pond. Yet, I know that if I step outside for even a second, I will be engulfed in an inferno of heat and humidity that marks the warming of our planet. From the AC blasting cold air to the lights that power the entire mall, to the fountains the spew water, to the laptop I use to type this comment and the phones of the various customers that walk by -- all of this energy that is being consumed in only one tiny mall. And if this is just one mall, imagine the scale of all this consumption throughout the entire world as we constantly need more in order to fuel this way of life. We are in a resource war, there's no denying it. To simply say we aren't is just ignoring the reality of the situation that has defined human conflict since the dawn of civilization. I'm going to resume the rest of the video but I seriously had to take a moment for reflection because it truly struck a chord in me. I don't know anything about Julian Assange as a person and I only briefly know anything about Wiki-Leaks, but I heard a quote from an interview recently that goes something like that: People don't go to war, they only fight in wars when they had been fooled into it. Media makes people think they need wars and there wouldn't be any war, if any form of media would be in a much better form than it is now. In my opinion you can take capitalism and it's media like Marx said what religion is. Media is like opium for the masses, because it makes them numb and nobody tries to hold thought, reason and an open mind close to their beliefs.

Think of how many restless young people were convinced to hate certain parts of the world and to throw themselves into combat against these. Years later, those who survive are neglected as 'ungrateful' veterans. The warmongers and their communicators never had their well-being in mind. And whenever something threatens the perceived idea of "stability" the media organisations are there to label and demonise a perceived threat to "democracy". Yes, the content creator themselves is the one censoring these words and names, it is their option to do so, and yes it may cause youtube to not push his video by the algorithm but it really shows how the content creator isn't willing to take a stand for their beliefs surrounding the issue. In my opinion, and with all due respect, if the content creator really meant all they said, they wouldn't be censoring themselves.
I am incredibly angry with RUclips's decision to censor words that they consider "controversial". Do I agree that certain words are outdated & offensive? Yes. However, mentioning the name of a country or state, IS NOT OFFENSIVE! This is the exact reason why I hate censorship as it's used as a way to control what people can & can't say or can & can't do. If we allow this type of censorship to continue then there is no way of knowing when it will end...

For folks who may not happen to be very familiar with the IP’s pre-Bethesda history, Fallout 1 was published + developed by Interplay Entertainment’s RPG team (later restructured into Black Isle Studios as a subsidiary developer team for the sequel, to greatly oversimplify things). So, if that choice of wording was purely coincidental, I still find it an appropriate vocab choice to note given the series history, even if anti-capitalism is purportedly not an intended/explicit thematic thread in that era of the IPs releases, if the frankly media illiterate but still fun storyteller IMO Chris Avellone and his recent Medium.com posting is to be believed. 👀😂

I tried to leave a long comment discussing my opinions and experiences as to how they relate to what you discussed and YT apparently instantly took it down. So idk what community guidelines i violated but I would like to point out that the censorship prevalent in all social media makes discussing these topics plainly and directly almost impossible. To be clear: I don´t like what I & P are doing in the middle East. But their war can´t be finished very easily because both sides get outside money earmarked for participating in this war. I don´t exactly know what P gets but I suspect there is a lot of money collected from religious congregations and the Iranian state currently gives a lot, too. "For the good fight against American and Western Imperialists" I don´t know how much I gets in military contracts and "defence assistance" but that money is a little dirty. On the other side every NATO and EU citizen gets a little security out of it. What I call real dirty money is when a pastor named Greg Locke pumps 5 000 USD per month into illegal I settlements. Now a bit of math: He had 2000 congregants at that time. There are about 70 million Christian Evangelicals at least in the US so that would be 2.1 billion USD per year. That would be about 4 000 USD/year for each of the 500 000 I-settlers or 20 000 USD/year for a "typical" I-household. I think everybody can understand when I say that under these financial conditions the I-P conflict is unsolveable. And even if it would be solved it would just be continued in Lebanon. Oh and I & P would become poor as Lebanon is today.
The numbers are readily available. I is by far the largest recipient of US "aid" and military aid, combined +300 billion USD from American taxpayers. Not to mention political support, media propaganda and weapons technology from several Western countries. Moreover, big weapons companies get their tech tested on P people and have had this done for decades. Companies like Google, Microsoft, RTX, Amazon, Siemens, HP and many more also help I out too. Yes, there are I ran-backed groups indeed in Gz, but they have pennies compared to I. And I don't know if you watched the full video, but I make the strong point of saying that everything we've developed in terms of knowledge and technology is actively used to destroy P people. P people are not at war, they are resisting decades of violence and oppression enacted ON them by I and the west. The one thing that could stop all of this is if the west pulls their economic and political support for I, or if I destroys itself through the internal public and political turmoil unfolding at the moment. So this "both sides" argument is so infantalising, when I is the major stakeholder that has clearly advocated for a continuation of the violence. As long as it does that, the western establishment will stand behind it.

For folks who may not happen to be very familiar with the IP’s pre-Bethesda history, Fallout 1 was published + developed by Interplay Entertainment’s RPG team (later restructured into Black Isle Studios as a subsidiary developer team for the sequel, to greatly oversimplify things). So, if that choice of wording was purely coincidental, I still find it an appropriate vocab choice to note given the series history, even if anti-capitalism is purportedly not an intended/explicit thematic thread in that era of the IPs releases, if the frankly media illiterate but still fun storyteller IMO Chris Avellone and his recent Medium.com posting is to be believed. 👀😂

I tried to leave a long comment discussing my opinions and experiences as to how they relate to what you discussed and YT apparently instantly took it down. So idk what community guidelines i violated but I would like to point out that the censorship prevalent in all social media makes discussing these topics plainly and directly almost impossible. I don´t exactly know what P gets but I suspect there is a lot of money collected from religious congregations and the Iranian state currently gives a lot, too. "For the good fight against American and Western Imperialists"
I don´t know how much I gets in military contracts and "defence assistance" but that money is a little dirty. On the other side every NATO and EU citizen gets a little security out of it.
What I call real dirty money is when a pastor named Greg Locke pumps 5 000 USD per month into illegal I settlements.

Yes, there are I ran-backed groups indeed in Gz, but they have pennies compared to I. And I don't know if you watched the full video, but I make the strong point of saying that everything we've developed in terms of knowledge and technology is actively used to destroy P people. P people are not at war, they are resisting decades of violence and oppression enacted ON them by I and the west.
The one thing that could stop all of this is if the west pulls their economic and political support for I, or if I destroys itself through the internal public and political turmoil unfolding at the moment.
So this "both sides" argument is so infantalising, when I is the major stakeholder that has clearly advocated for a continuation of the violence. As long as it does that, the western establishment will stand behind it.

Correct. It is also China, in regards to belligerence on the world stage, the CCP has exhibited enormously their inability to act as a good neighbour to countries around them. Like the Philippines, Taiwan, Vietnam, and India.
For most recent instance, the CCG has attacked filipino naval vessals attempting to resupply filipino marines on the Second Thomas Shoal, going so far as to deploy forces on dinghies and cutting holes or puncturing Filipino dinghies in the process of aggression against the Philippines.
They in another recent instance have been acting overtly aggressive towards the independent country of Taiwan for the election that took place where the people chose a party unfriendly to Beijing.
And as an ever continuing instance, the Chinese regularly attack and harrass Vietnamese fishers. So yes. The fact of the matter is it's not just the west. it's also China. If you want to further get into it, we'll also talk about the Chinese maritime militias which go to other countries waters and overfish the waters, leaving nothing but economic damage and ruin.
Thanks for pointing this out. And with respect, my mocking voice is not to say that China is better than us. They are incredibly imperialist, fascist and genocidal too. My only point is that I've had so many conversations, even recently, that moralise the west as better than China and Russia, when all imperial powers are atrocious and unsustainable.
