This is what he shared with me: Owen Hart was being lowered down by the pulley, but in the middle of the lowering, the cord snapped and he fell onto the ring quite hard. However, the screen was cut to black before they could show it (I think?), but after a while, there was screaming from the crowds, and then they went on break. It was freaky, but I wonder if anybody out there has the ACTUAL video??? WWE would sue anybody who releases the footage, definitely, and that’s understandable.

I remember watching this live. I was maybe eight or nine tops. I remember him coming from the ceiling, they show a body shot of the wrestler in the ring watching Owen come down but I never remember seeing Owen after that. I think they showed the ceiling again but he wasn’t there, you can hear the crowd scream beneath then yes, the show was cut off. We had to wait to hear later he had died. We (my brother and I) were so surprised. Back then you knew something bad had happened because they never stopped the show.

There is no footage. They went straight to videos of the blue blazer and then showed the crowed confused. Also Jerry lawyer looked shook and emotional. It was really sad how it happened. Tragedy!! He needs to be put in the hall of fame as well as the bulldog!

They announced his death later, but they did not tell the stadium audience. I was in the arena, and I wouldn't recommend anyone watching it if it is ever released, though thankfully most of his fall was missed because they blacked out the stadium for his entrance. So, I only saw the last second when he hit and bounced in the ring. Then I just stared at his hand - waiting for it to rise up like they do when they are ok. He never moved. I know they said he died in the hospital, but I think it was in the ring. To this day, I've never seen someone that still, like every muscle relaxed, no give whatsoever, just still & silent. No blood, nothing like that, but the stillness was terrifying.

There is no footage of his tragic fall, well there is but its in a vault never to be released, the wwf back then did not allow cameras or video recorders in either so only footahe captured was by the camera crew of the wwf.
