    These are amazing. 2 days drying time before varnish is sufficient? Does that varnish smell strong? I am afraid or all the fumes. Have you ever done these with paint inside? They are super gorgeous. Do you ever try to re use the pain that dripped? Thanks for the great video!!

    • @ChrisJeszeck
      @ChrisJeszeck  3 месяца назад

      I found two days drying was plenty. I'm sensitive to odors and chemicals but have no problems with Liquitex varnish. I do however, work next to an open window. I have not tried pouring inside the ornament...might give it a go! Could then skip the varnish entirely and easily save the drips to mix together and use as a basecoat on something later! Thanks for watching!

    Is the base coat thick or thin and do you mix the craft paint with floetrol or some other form of medium

    • @ChrisJeszeck
      @ChrisJeszeck  2 года назад

      I would say it's medium! Half Floetrol, half paint and a little water. The colors were all ready mixed paints, straight from the bottle. Mixed paints would work too of course, as long as they're compatible with Floetrol.

      Maybe you can get cheap plastic ornaments? Even if they’re already colored, you’re going to put on a white base coat and then pour over them, so that might work for you.

    Is there a way to fix the paint if you don’t put enough paint on to completely cover the bulb?

    • @ChrisJeszeck

      I imagine you could pour over the dried ornament, though I have not tried. They're so inexpensive, I tossed those I wasn't happy with! 😉

      I tried that and didn't care for the result. Much preferred the wet on wet application. Details in description box. Thanks for watching!

    What is the easiest way to remove acrylic paint off of a ornament if it doesn't look right or the paint gets funky

    • @ChrisJeszeck
      @ChrisJeszeck  2 года назад

      I don't know Gloria! I suppose if it's still wet you could simply hose it off, but those I didn't like that dried, I tossed. I figured they were inexpensive enough to dispose of. 😉

    These are just beautiful!! If you wouldn’t mind I’ve never used ready mixed paints, what would the consistency be for the paint if I was to mix my own? This looked pretty thick. Also how long will these need to dry before varnishing?

    • @ChrisJeszeck
      @ChrisJeszeck  3 года назад

      I would say fairly thin, almost a Dutch pour consistency. Most of mine dried so fast, I varnished the next day!
