      Hi Susan, thank you so much! In answer to your question: because I’m using housepaint for these (the bloom technique), I do one side one day, and the next day I do the other side. The enamel dries really fast so I can get them all done in a weekend.

    • @BrittClaytonDesign
      @BrittClaytonDesign  Год назад

      Hi Pam! You can, but it won’t make a lot of difference. Mica is dependent on light for its shine - so if it’s mixed with paint, that paint is going to hinder a lot of the light from reflecting off the mica.

    • @BrittClaytonDesign
      @BrittClaytonDesign  Год назад

      Hey Bonnie! The p stands for part. Your basis for measuring is usually the amount of paint you use. So if you use an ounce of paint, that would mark your ONE part. I used 3.5 parts of Aussie Floetrol, which would be 3.5 ounces. You can find Australian Floetrol at www.Fluid-Art.co. Go to their website and look at the photo of it. Then look up Flood Floetrol on Home Depot’s website. You’ll see the difference in the bottles.

    These are very nice. I have a question are you ornaments glass
    or are they plastic? I love the colors.

      Hi Leaetta! Thanks for stopping by!! I’m so glad you like the colors - me too! These are glass ornaments. I just like the feel of them better. But you can pour on plastic as well.

    I just didn’t catch how you get the design to come out the way it did. Beautiful, and classy.

      @@LindaManey-g2j - I blow the paint out by mouth. I don’t like putting the back of my head in the camera, and that’s all you would see as I’m blowing it out.

    What brand tape do you use that doesn't take the paint off the part you already did?

      Hi Pam - I just use the Scotch Blue. You can get it at any hardware store or Amazon. amzn.to/3uulehw

    Wow! Your ornaments are really outstanding and your video is so complete. I’m blown away on so many levels. Thank you for this video!!
    I have one question- it seemed that you taped the painted side 24 hours after painting it. Did I get that correctly?

    • @BrittClaytonDesign
      @BrittClaytonDesign  2 года назад +1

      Thank you Val! Yes, I taped them off 24 hours later. This is enamel paint and it’s on glass so drying time is phenomenal.

      Thank you Patty! No, I’ve never painted on the plastic ones. I prefer the weight of the glass ornaments.

    What is your cell activator? Do you use Australian floetrol and black or add silicone?

    • @BrittClaytonDesign
      @BrittClaytonDesign  2 года назад

      Hey Sandy! I always list my ingredients in my description! The CA was Amsterdam Lamp Black and Aussie Floetrol. I don’t use silicone in any of my work.

      Thank you. I’m trying to not need to order the Aussie Flotrol so was thinking of a substitute . I notice most artists use the same formula as you.
