  • New York City has completed the world's thinnest skyscraper, the 111 West 57th Street, which will soar above Central Park on Billionaire's Row alongside the Central Park tower and other iconic supertall skyscrapers. 111 West 57th Street, also known as the Steinway Tower, is a supertall residential project by developers JDS Development Group and Property Markets Group in West Midtown in Manhattan, New York City. Located at 111 West 57th Street near Sixth Avenue, the development will be a combination of the original landmarked Steinway Building designed in 1925 by Warren & Wetmore, and a new tower addition on the adjacent site. Parkside Construction Builders is the general contractor.
The world's thinnest skyscraper will sway up to 5 feet during storms.
The tower topped out in 2019 and is expected to open in early 2021. Steinway tower is one of the tallest buildings in the United States, as well as the thinnest skyscraper in the world with a width-to-height ratio of about 1:23.

New York has so many new buildings built in 2020 - 2021. Because did you know why New York has so many new buildings? Because the answer is NEW YORK IS READY TO BE IN FUTURE and even more new buildings of 2021 - 2030 too! The construction of new towers in NYC is ongoing and ongoing and more and more new tall buildings So thats why New York has so many new buildings. So thats all I can say but just dont forget to enjoy your enjoyable 2021, and to enjoy your whole month and weekend

There is a bit more cladding to add, and some inside work to finish but the tower is structurally completed. The first residents are expected to move in as early as March 2021!

Just a one night stay could be fun, but I really don't want to live in this tall skinny tower even though it were free. It's just too high and I can never feel relieved. Perhaps a building of 50-meter or so would be great so I can enjoy Central Park and its surrounding buildings in Upper East Side and Upper West Side.

Not a specialist, but from what I've read, there'd probably be an internal, central stairway protected by a super thick, fireproof concrete shell. I believe that's what they did in the new 1 World Trade Center building, aka the Freedom Tower. I've heard that the concrete protecting the central core, where the emergency stairways are, is so thick and strong that even explosives/planes/bombs etc. could not penetrate it. I hope that is true....

I didn't like them even before that, although I always made an exception for the Empire State. It's a really lovely building inside and out and it just feels so solid. The old WTC towers scared the crap out of me. And yes, they swayed in the wind too. I had a bit of a panic attack when I first felt it.

150mio apartment? There are maybe 250 individuals that are able to buy this (all billies in the world). I suspect although it is an attractive property it’s quite hard to attract customers, as it seems to be missing the livabilities. It may only be a speculation asset.
