What a great piece and a great lady and her dad. I'm proud of her too. She really is amazing in the role. Hope the show runs a long time so that I can take my kids to see it. So glad I got to see the show with her in it.

Agree. Great piece with her dad. My daughter and I got to dance on that very Broadway Stage together. She was only 2 years old when I was in the Original production of Miss Saigon at the Broadway Theatre. The history, for my family doesn't stop there. My mom took me to see The WIZ, in the 70s and from the last seat in the balcony, a single mom on welfare thought it would be good for us 3 kids to see. Because of that Theatre experience, I was able to go from the Balcony to the stage. And my little girl had the best view in the house, from the wings. My dream came true. I am Blessed. What a "Best Day ever" experience, every day I spent on Broadway! Go for your dreams. Best of luck to King Kong and the cast.

The difficulties of this show were first solved some years ago in Australia when it had been described as impossible to stage. The staging was incredibly spectacular, but the music is terrible, for which reason the show was not a great success. Spectacle isn't enough, story and music must be good also. Will be interesting to learn if there have been major revisions to improve it. I notice an Australian accent in the technical crew here so suspect the staging technicalities are following from the start created in Australia.

The reason Kong 'fell' for Ann was because she was white. For however long before the action of the movie, the inhabitants of the island sacrificed what they had, ie young black women. One after the other over and over. Then all of a sudden there's this screaming pale blond woman. Of course Kong would act differently.

King Kong was not a “take” on “Birth of A Nation.” Good gracious.

Not all blonde haired people are “attractive” looking. Plenty of blonde haired people can look like anything, be attractive, be plain looking or be ugly looking.
