1. This recording is a quite a bit fast. 2. I waited until the first performance in full uniform to experience this corps in it's complete magnificence. It killed me then ... still does. 3.. Dancer made me cry on finals nght (as an alum... I couldn't be prouder .. especially since I toured with the corps in '05'.) 4. What was accomplished in this compressed season is astonishing. This corps is set up to destroy in 2022. 5. The Cadets brass sound has returned. (and I mean that 90's sound) 6. Battery will continue to lay waste to anything in its path. Sanford here we come! 7. The guard started as what I call, "A bag of hammers". That is a far cry from how they ended the season. Most improved section and SO good by finals!!!!! 8. Look out 2022. THEY'RE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 9. FHNSAB 10. Look out for 11 11. All the right moves have been made. The staff is dialed in. The members are hungry. Administration is obscene. Support this corps. They will NOT disappoint you. signed ~ an old fart alum who makes the cool aid ... but it's very tasty cool aid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
From the very first note if App. Spring, it was clear this was going to be special. The staff and kids NAILED IT! They seem to be ready to kill it in 2022. "In first place, with a score of".........................
Agree! I was crying. This show was written for the long-time DCI fan and Cadets alumni. Nothing like seeing these charts live again! And, they picked the right ones to make a solid show.
FOR THE LAST FEW YEARS OF LOVED THE BLACK AND GRAY WITH THE CADETS IT'S A VERY WEST POINT LOOK VERY CLASSIC BUT I'M SO GLAD TO SEE HIM BACK IN THE BURGUNDY AND GOLD BECAUSE THEY THEY CAME OUT OF THE THE JESUIT BRANCH OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH AND THAT'S THEIR COLORS BURGUNDY AND GOLD AND THAT'S TO ME THAT WILL ALWAYS BE THE CADETS
Kingston Tiger Marching Band and I Played those songs at 2:18 back in the year 2013, at 5:26 back in the year 2015 and 2019, and at 12:01 back in the year 2014. 😀
Simple Gifts/Appalachian Spring has been used by many corps going back to at least the 70s. SCV did it in 09 and 77 (I think?). Cadets in 14 and 87 (ruclips.net/video/RWoOSTjUyTs/видео.html). A bunch more that'll take too long to list out here.
Why do they prefer to have a massive backdrop instead of paying customers filling the seats on the backside...PLAY TO BOTH SIDES AND DOUBLE THE REVENUE,duh! Also closed stadiums ruin the sound with awkward echos, terrible outdorrs is bliss!
Ah, leave it to the Cadets to take a fabulous show and ruin it with stupid narration. Poorly sounding narration too. The holy name bit at the end was demonic as hell. WTF. lol Stop using narration. If you need it you're failing on the field with the ensemble.
Yeah I loved the show didn't want to say anything negative! The narration tries to change the character of the show from honor to vanity but the performers don't allow it in the end
13:00, this is predicative programming 101. A demonic voice reciting the core’s motto, one very last time. Demonic from the effects gaining a foot from the god gene being turned off. While the wooden prop represents the Ark of Noah.
Hi! Hello! Recent Alumni Member of the Corps here. The voices you hear before the final company front were voices like mine and the many other members to resemble the members of the past and present before delivering a hit that resembles what’s ahead in the future. Plus, why would ANYONE think a Drum Corps that was created in a Catholic Church could be considered demonic?
@@aaronreid7997 Aaron: congrats on marching an awesome year. I saw the show in Lawrence Ma. Don’t mind this original commenter…I’ve seen other negative comments just trying to get replies (may even be a bot). sad to see them fold, this will still be my favorite show from them i’ve seen
I'm glad the lack of competition freed up the Cadets to do the most entertaining show they have done in a very long time. It was beautiful!

At least the unis are back and Hopkins is gone. Too bad he killed the activity though.
I'm missing the Z-Pull Punch right about now
@@cavie95 if you think Hopkins killed the activity you are wrong. 2021 was testament that the roots of Drum Corps are here to stay.

Dan, you're right on the money - on all accounts!
Love the "Best of" Show, great to see traditional uniforms again.

I got the same chills from the closer as I did back in 1995

Ah, haven't heard Rocky Point Holiday in a show in a long time. Also, a company front!? Classic.
We (Cadets) also did both in 2018 :)
I haven't heard anyone else play it besides my school lmao
Always love seeing a company front makes it 10x more powerful
Love the traditional uniforms
What a breath of fresh Cadet air this show is.
classic...so many great shows and memories in 13 minutes!
Made me Tear Love this Corps all the way from Garfield Days!!

beautiful show! wow!
thank you to this channel for uploading so many dci full run vids 🙌
My Favorite Part at 12:01! 😀
were you recording behind the glass on the balcony? That's my guess based on the sound quality.
Wow
Love Björk!!! ❤
4:44 let's go Z Pull!
Wait is that opener also from SCV in like 09

you gotta sit in the stands for the full experience
or on the hill in ALlentown
I did, and it was! (Lawrence, Ma).
Drum corps in a dome is like listening under water. Horrible acoustics.

They didn't even need the wood box looking prop thingy, and heavy handed electronics.....
You must REALLY hate everyone else this year
agreed.
