Love the extra intro! We have more in common than I realized: I have a math degree (just undergrad, no masters like you) and I like baseball! Grew up watching Minnesota twins ❤ Happy knitting!
Funny that you mentioned starting from the very beginning of the videos for a podcaster you've just found and like because I literally just finished doing that with your videos (as of this video!!!)!!!! 😂😅
Are you planning on sharing the photography classes if/when you do them!?! I’m pretty introverted and a sahm at the moment. I love the community part of knitting but I’ve been pretty intimidated to get out and find knitters locally. Would love to be more active with online knitting community but ooof my knitting photos always seem a lil rough and don’t exactly show my work in the best light. I’m from the Seattle area and living here now. I did data analytics and have grown up cheering on the mariners so it’s so interesting to hear about your career with them. Loved your goals and wishing ya luck on your 2024! :)
Oh my gosh we've got so many of the same interests! I'm doing the photography class through Creative Live. I got a subscription as a gift and started a Fundamentals of Photography class a few days ago!
I know this was published a little while ago but I'm curious. Going from an analyst job to a highly creative/"yarny" job- how did that feel for you and how did you make that decision? I'm a software engineer (entry to mid-level) and I want to eventually make the move to a "yarny" job (largely yarn dyeing), but I have no idea when to make that leap... if I should try to hold out until I'm more financially stable and hopefully not burn out in the process or if I should take the approach of a "do what makes you happy" mindset.
Hi! I'm so sorry for the delayed response. This is a such a tough decision and I wish I had great advice for you! I think for me I knew it was the right time mostly because I was both being pushed and pulled out of my job at the time. The "push" came from working way too much, my job not being in alignment with my priorities, and my mental health being in a really bad place. The "pull" came from a really great opportunity to work at La Mercerie that I knew I couldn't pass up and I knew then was the best time! I just got a really good feeling about it! So it was a combination of those things and just an overwhelming feeling that it was the right time. I'm not sure if this is helpful - I know it's a really personal decision. Good luck!!

Happy knitting!
Love to find more math and knitting people!!
De Rurem Natura yarns are so nice and at relatively affordable prices
I definitely go back to the beginning lol. Especially if I’m in between tv shows at the moment.
Same!! Perfect to cruise through while knitting.

Awww yay! Glad to have kept you company
I don't always go all the way back to the beginnning when I find a new podcast, but I do usually back up about a year or so
I am the same, I watch from the beginning the PODCAST. I get it.
I also watch knitters podcasts from the start haha 😅

Can you please share a bit about your tracking process?
Sure thing! I'll try to chat about this in my next video.
I'm in Arkansas! Where are you going to?
We unfortunately had to cancel our trip because I got sick 😔 But we were planning on going to Hot Springs, Little Rock, and Bentonville!
Oh man. Sorry you got sick! If you are able to come back definitely make your way to @arkansasyarnco. I'd love to come see you. I'm in Little Rock
I have a bachelor's degree in math too! 😊
Amazing!
