I get a lot of my music from Epidemic Sound.
The stickered torso was actually quite rare to get, even back in the days. The only time you had to put a sticker on the torso was when Lego did collaborations with other brands like for example McDonald’s.
Or in the yellow castle set where the knights had stickered torsos

The new version is great, but some will always prefer the classic charm that old town sets from the 80's and 90's have-- that simply can't be recreated today
That is facts! I love the simplicity of the old town sets. Lego will likely never go back to that and it's sad. Had a blast having a hands on experience with this set

I love the "TD Twist" to this classic set. The modern vibe looks really good, and the addition of base colors definitely takes it up a few notches.
And the interior. Awesome TD goodness in there. The use of a cheese slope for the credit card swiper is great. And I'm sure the employees appreciate the addition of a tip jar. ;-) So much stuff packed in a relatively small space. Great job Ty!!!!

McDonald's fun fact: Bermuda had a McDonald's for only ten years from 1985 to 1995. Basically, since the 70s, Bermuda's had a law that bans foreign fast-food joints like McDonald's. But McDonald's found a loophole within this law and built a location on a US Naval Air Station. However, this US Naval Air Station was transferred to the Bermudian government in 1995, and it is now L.F. Wade International Airport.

"Because McDonald's is a heavenly experience" Preach! I mean dipping McDonald's fries in their sweet and sour sauce while sipping on the holy McDonald's Sprite is an experience unlike no other. If your McDonald's has a functioning ice cream machine, you're doing it wrong.
But I find it pretty funny as a Cubano that the only McDonald's in Cuba...is on a freakin' US military base. US Military bases having fast food chains is just pure Americana.

I think that was a real step up from the old set. All the bright colors of red and yellow were to overkill in the old set.

The minifigures had stickers because many times when Lego works with another company like Shell or Mc Donald's They use stickers instead of prints for an unknown reason

Fun fact: one of the promo Shell sets actually had sticker that you put on the torso of a minifig (these are some 2014-2015 sets)

How much did the old lego set cost back then? Maybe 15$? I would assume that even your tiny version of an upgrade nowadays would be shrunk a bit to be just the front, advertised as a full building and costs 150$
