I bought a 7900xtx on launch (the reference model, as i loved the smaller form factor over AIB's) and mine had the 110C overheating issue. Sounded like a god damn lawnmower. Sent the RMA and the response was that they have no replacement cards available so my only option was to get a refund. And since my old card was sold already, i had no choice, but to get a 4080, which was more expensive. Do i regret it? NO, not a single bit. Is it overpriced? yes, ofc it was. But even though 4090 was a better price performance overall, i could not justify spending extra $500 as the cheapest 4090 at the time was like $1700-1800...
I just heard today that the 7900 series is going to be getting a hot-swappable fan option. With different colors being the first release and then the second release being different fan types.
Unless you are gaming at 1080p the RTX4080 and 7900XTX offer similar performance, until you turn on ray tracing and then the AMD card struggles to keep up. The AMD card offers better value per dollar paid, but if you can afford it, the 4080 will give you a better experience in high end games at higher resolution, with all the bells and whistles turned on.
If you care about graphics quality and input/output latency before price to performance, the 4080 is still a great GPU. I'd buy a 4070Ti Super instead though.
I already had a 7900 XTX but moved to 4080. I've never had this amount of issues with a GPU like with 7900 XTX. Yes, it has better value when it comes to $/FPS, but the gaming experience is not just frames and numbers.

Ive really only heard about AMD from unbiased 3rd partys and from other people. If your talking about people that own AMD, I can see where your coming from. Look at benchmarks brother. The XTX routinely beats the shit out of the 4080 in FPS. In FPS/dollar the XTX also shits on the 4080 so I have no idea where you got the 4080 has better value from. AMD drivers are also on par and in some ways superior to NVIDIA drivers. Adrenaline software is superior to the NVIDIA app and it isn’t even a question. Better UI, and easier to navigate and easier to customize game settings
@@MattRebel-s9f ok you're delusional. Fsr is junk and barely supported, adrenaline is only "better" because of interfacing options that are done better by other software I would rather use regardless. Nvidia has frame gen, dlss, and ray tracing. Not to mention amd drivers are absolutely not on par let alone better than Nvidias. I can tell you're AMD fanboy from that part of your comment alone. As soon as you involve Ray tracing in any benchmark amd falls apart, you know what every game has in 2024? Ray tracing.
The thing about it is that nvidia cards have way more & better features in things like DLSS, and its also way better for any productivity tasks and its significantly more efficient.
It is beautiful. Which is why I don’t understand the vertical mount thing UNLESS it’s for spacing issues. Pay all that money just to see the bottom fans only.
I think people clicking on this video are not really interested in the logistical reason why you have the 4080 vs 7900XTX but that really seems to be your focus
What I've learned is when you get a card DO NOT watch comparison videos. Be happy with what you have. Most cards can play most games reasonably well. Find what you want, stick to it, and be happy!

A 7900xtx straight performs better in rasteurization. I dont care who made the gpu just give me good performance for the price. And right now amd does thay way better.

@@yasho9008FSR on quality mode is fine and even on my old 3080ti the performance hit for raytracing at 1440p is just not worth it. To get good raytracing, framerate and resolution you'd need a 4090 at this point and I can't justify that price

Returned my 7900xtx for a 4080 and don't regret it tbh
then why did you buy it in the first place? your just wasting gpu stock.

The Asrock Taichi 7900XTX in white looks bomb
why ppl judging this guy. he’s setup is sick
Idk man unfortunately most people are assholes on the Internet nowadays lmao
Because he has a literal, not a figure of speech describing the look of one of his parts, no, he has a *literal keyboard* and a *literal pair of airpods* (below the GPU on the left) *inside of his case.*
Plus he’s making weak arguments when the only argument he’s got is he got the GPU for free. (Probably costs some advertising, which is why he’s digging here.)
Plus GPU styles can change based on who’s making them, not because of what the exact model of GPU is. The rtx 3050 could look exactly the same if it’s manufacturer chose to create it as such. That’s why it’s a very weak argument.
If you think I’m reaching to be an asshole, look up Yeston GPUs. They go out of their way to have their GPUs be *extremely* unique. (Plus have some weird anime lore I don’t know why considering their computer parts, but the parts are as unique as the books. At least they’re far, far far FAR more useful than the books XD)

Not enough good looking 7900 XTX thats why i went with a Strix 4090.

@grayspirit5779 heck, yeah, that's how you do it! $4,000 GPU cuz inflation 😄
they have some clean ones
Also the strix oc is at the top end of best brands for the 40 series. There are videos showing power caps and all that. I am getting a 4090 strix oc white. Also looks sexy af
What about Zotac 4080 trinity OC or Zotac AMP XTREME . The xtreme has been the #1 GPU for nvidia for a few years now
I bought a 7900xtx on launch (the reference model, as i loved the smaller form factor over AIB's) and mine had the 110C overheating issue.
Powercolor Hellhound White edition or the AsRock TaiChi White edition. You are ILL-Informed mr content creator.
The xtx still does loose in performance in some titles but its very close.
I’m standing firm with this, AMD CPUs are amazing and their gpus are horrible

Yes, the 7900xtx had issues with the vapour chamber of the cooler. Not sure of the specifics anymore but vertical mounting might have led to worse cooling performance

4080 is a better value because of drivers and software sorry

Just sent my 7900xtx nitro + back. The drivers kept overclocking it until games crashed and i couldnt stop it .
