- Johannesburg Mayor Herman Mashaba announced on 21 October 2019 that he would resign from his position. The announcement came after the election of Helen Zille as the Democratic Alliance’s Federal Council chair.
the fact that Mr Herman Marshaba resigned I applaude him because clearly the DA has its own agenda not interested to serve the poor people in this they represent the rich people

Obviously you fail to recognise high integrity action. This resignation is blow to South Africa and will no doubt have severe consequences. Yet I support mr,. Mashaba's decision. He is the type of politician that we need. I hope it is the the seed for a new political party.
