4:37 props to that dude in black that reached for the ball, saw trout still making an effort and pulled his hands back. My biggest fear is getting carried away seeing a homerun ball and obstructing a play.
I remember years ago, my dad and I were watching the dodgers game on TV, I was between 8 and 10 (can't remember exactly), the thing is, we watched the ball go deep into the field, just to get robbed. My dad was like "you know what? I'm not even mad, that was a great jump and a great catch, big respect for the player". Good memories.
Everyone on here talking about all the big names but no one remembers just how good prime Austin Jackson was. The dude may never have done it with the bat or been a markee name but my goodness was he the one dude that you feared in the outfield. He jumped feet in the air going into a short wall to catch that ball. People forget he was 31 when he made that catch absolutely incredible.
2:56 is my favorite, Kiermaier having his entire arm above the wall is what makes this catch stand out, I didn't see any other catches where someones arm was over the wall entirely. Maybe a hand or forearm, but not the whole thing
I always remember that one time Burhele had a no hitter going they did a position swap in CF for the next play and buddy saved a HR saving the no hitter
I mean, a lot of these looked like they weren't quite homers...but the fielder's momentum carried it over the wall and back. Still impressive nonetheless, but not quite the same lol
If only announcers could be like this in MLB THE SHOW
jamanuel dickerson I know right? MLB the show commentators show no opinion or anything, it’s like they’re just robots
Captain Freeze 74 they are

True
I mean the second one is literally the announcer in MLB the show

The Orioles were robbed too many times in this compilation lol
Haha I was about to say the exact same thing. Even Machado who played for the Orioles at the time was robbed in the USA vs Dominican game in the BWC

something just SO satisfying about Trout just sitting on the wall waiting for the ball
yeah but that also makes it not that great of a catch.

i think he pulled back because he wasn't gonna be anywhere close to the ball. Theres a bit of a gap between the wall and where hes at.
If it is over the wall obstruction doesn’t count
That's Mike trout
Pillar Trout and Kiermier Is nothing but eye candy out there in the outfield
Southwest struck gold with that ad placement at Camden Yards
3:49. Had to adjust his speed while taking his eyes of the ball, retrack the ball and then scale the wall for the out. Amazing.

They really snubbed Ender Inciartes game saving rob.

Inciarte’s defensive highlights are usually snubbed unfortunately
Jackie Bradley Jr is the best center fielder aside mike trout, coming from a Yankees fan.

Baltimore was on the wrong end of a lot of these lol
I love watching these catches more than watching players hitting home runs
Jackie made that one at 2:20 look effortless, even as Brasier was having heart palpitations.

6:30 .. if the umps didnt call that a home run they should have, the player went over the wall with the ball, HR
Yup, I fully agree. I’m glad I could find someone who questioned that one as well.
I do agree with you, but in the umps shoes, im pretty sure he caught the ball before he went into the stands
No. You’re wrong
It's an out. But the runners get to advance a base for the fielder carrying the ball out of play.
I remember being at the USA and Dominican Republic game and was shocked when Adam Jones robbed Manny
The Dominican guy was great! He was like "Ohhh well alright then, hats off to you for an incredible play."
