I used to live in eagar/ springerville for 10 years since I was 19 ...I met a lot of nice people and moved to phoenix for better opportunities for another 10 years! miss my friends and the community...then moved to another state in 2002 ...I love where I live but I really enjoyed my youth living there 💛 I haven't been back since 1993...
I grew up in Springerville /Eagar my teen years in the early 80's . Rode my white horse everywhere around town and all through the beautiful White Mountains. That used to be a 2 lane road. My dads bar and grill, The Melody Lounge ,was on the corner next to the meat shop, I see that building is gone. I still remember a few of the buildings on main street. Wish I could go back to those times, didn't realize how good I had it then. Those were the days. Thanks for sharing.
Shewolfen my mom and I go up there twice a year, enjoy the scenery between Springerville and Pinetop. It’s always good to reminisce of the past too. In the early 80s, I was a teenager too living in Northern California. Thank you for sharing your sweet story about the White Horse. PAUL IN TUCSON, AZ
awesome. And just so there is no misunderstanding by any readers, the white horse was not a drug metaphor, he was a four legged, few spotted Appaloosa lol
