    Just wondering if you have thought about using the animal with the 4 or 6 way installed splitting the big stuff into pieces, and then using the tractor driven on right next to it to split into smaller pieces. With you running one splitter and Tiffany running the other, you could really churn out some wood!

    • @TKCL
      @TKCL  6 месяцев назад +1

      That would be crazy fast, we would technically need 3-4 people to make that work. One needs to be stacking and one moving wood over.

    When are you going to get both splitters running at the same time? Have one splitter with a 4 way out feeding to a second splitter that is taking those quarter pieces and breaking them down into the smaller pieces that you like. Would be interested to see what you and Tiffany would think about that kind of production line!

    It will be very interesting when you put a 4 way splitter on. I suspect your small tractor will be able to easily handle it but there may be a little noise change i n the tractor when the oak hits the 4 way blade. But i must say that splitter is pretty impressive just as it is.

    • @TKCL

    You should make a sleeve to install on your hydraulic shaft so that it does not return all the way since you cut your firewood at a shorter length. That would also speed up your cycle time….

    What will running a higher than recommended hydraulic pump on this tractor do to the warranty?

    • @TKCL
      @TKCL  6 месяцев назад

      Zero, the only concern was the tractor bogging down during the split. I am experiencing zero bog, actually my tiller, mowers and other equipment put far more strain on the tractor than this pump.

    Always wonder why they don’t make a stroke limiter for these high end machines? That could cut seconds off in itself.

    • @TKCL
      @TKCL  6 месяцев назад

      It is available, I'll be adding one eventually speeding it up more. Not that I really need it faster than 6 seconds. You eventually reach a point it isn't safe anymore.

    • @tpctrash
      @tpctrash 6 месяцев назад

      @@TKCL yes but stopping the ram short doesn’t increase the speed just decreases the distance.
      I wonder why no one ever gets that option? Is it expensive?

    • @TKCL
      @TKCL  6 месяцев назад

      @@tpctrash decreasing front depth stroke is the worst possible way to reduce cycle time. Stringy wood needs a full split. Back stroke is where your reduce cycle time as most splitters have a 24 to 32 inch stroke. Most firewood splits are 16-18 inches.

    • @tpctrash
      @tpctrash 6 месяцев назад

      @@TKCL I’m not saying the end of the stroke. Where it starts. Just like the stroke limiter you made for your splitter. That was a great thing.
      The push still ends at the wedge. Still get a full split.
