I'm not from BD, so I won't argue with BD people on whether Hasina was a dictator. I accept their opinion, as is. However, I do believe that Hasina was the least of the devil among all the devils at play. Hasina had kept at bay the islamists, the CCP and the US. Now with Hasina gone, BD is poised to become a battleground of CCP and US, and if it turns out to be true, BD people would start to have that realization. Only question is, by when? And, will it be too late by then?

Crucial point u missed are 1) the High Court ordered to bring back Reservation which Hasina removed in 2018, so people should be protesting against courts n judges not hasina....even after supreme court removed the Reservation when demands are accepted the protest should have come down, but since they are paid people (not students) the protests continued. 2) The military is hand in gloves with these protestors it's very clear. Otherwise, the parliament would not have been hijacked by protestors. US+PAk is behind these.

Geopolics is so volatile. India suddenly now facing either a hostile or at least a cold Bangladesh government. If US now a lot more leverage in Bangladesh and they may able to bypass India for USs quest to have a base near China. Interesting times ahead. Also, the pressure cooker was on for some time, and vested country just need to push a little bit and this would have happened anyway. I am a Bangladeshi citizen. All of this started as a student Quota movement. Over 500 students were killed, Children were shot from helicopters, many students were tortured and arrested from their house at midnight. There was no internet in whole country for 10 days. All sort of people came on the street protesting. Hasina's personal goons "Chatra League" along with the police kept on shooting civilians. Moreover, Hasina regime looted billions of dollars from the country, she had no opposition, all 3 elections were rigged, therefore there was no other option but to revolt. We are not a muslim extremist country, we never want jamat to come to power, we just want a reliable democratic government which you will see within few days. Please do not spread hatred. I am very sure you are aware what kind of dictator Hasina was, please do not be a hypocrite.

1) the High Court ordered to bring back Reservation which Hasina removed in 2018, so people should be protesting against courts n judges not hasina....even after supreme court removed the Reservation when demands are accepted the protest should have come down, but since they are paid people (not students) the protests continued.
2) The military is hand in gloves with these protestors it's very clear. Otherwise, the parliament would not have been hijacked by protestors.

Dear Palki Sharma, it’s been 53 years since our liberation war move on - our country has come a long way with our sovereignty- which was under threat last 15 years - and we are a secular country where protests have been led by general students and public from all walks of life and religion. So Madam it’s a Bangladeshi plot! thanx for your precious coverage on the issue in the beginning of the protests- please report facts - and invite a Bangladeshi expert- I’m afraid the country will no longer serve the BJP governments mandate. Sheikh Hassena has little to do with it... and do you think your Army Generals have the capacity to take over power without US giving approval? I am a Bangladeshi citizen. All of this started as a student Quota movement. Over 500 students were killed, Children were shot from helicopters, many students were tortured and arrested from their house at midnight. There was no internet in whole country for 10 days. All sort of people came on the street protesting. Hasina's personal goons "Chatra League" along with the police kept on shooting civilians.
Moreover, Hasina regime looted billions of dollars from the country, she had no opposition, all 3 elections were rigged, therefore there was no other option but to revolt.
We are not a muslim extremist country, we never want jamat to come to power, we just want a reliable democratic government which you will see within few days. Please do not spread hatred. I am very sure you are aware what kind of dictator Hasina was, please do not be a hypocrite.
Common man’s requirements are not reflected in politics. What about the minority attacks and temple violence? Who are doing those? How can crowd vandalise the founder’s statue? Why anti India chants? What have we done? Come to Kolkata to see loads and loads of Bangladeshi everywhere. There are areas demarcated as Bangladeshi localities.
You may not want but the regime will make the state Islamic. Once army has power, just sit and watch. Just look at Pakistan to understand how that works.
