From my experience in playing Saurian (I've had the game for awhile, and reached Adulthood on my very first Dakotaraptor) I've found that as a hatchling and juvenile, it's best to just stay at rivers. You always have a food source, and at night, there's a shit ton of lizards by the river you can eat and are pretty easy to catch because they can be seen so easily and there's no brush to hide.
During the day, small birds sit by the river and if you dash close enough, you can kill them before they fly away and they provide good meat too.
I've basically stayed by the same river to Juvenile hood, moved to a new river, and continued like this until I became an adult and was able to actually go hunt bigger, more easily seen targets.

124Nightwing wish there was one with good graphics that allowed you to survive in ecosystems as animals like Cape Lions or Bengal Tigers. Oh well though, dead monsters seem to be getting the attention :P
I agree wholeheartedly, man. Usually the only games I find are basically just giant chatrooms where you have an animal avatar and you kinda have to type out your actions and such, like Feralheart.

It would be quite the undertaking, that's for sure. If you'd also like to know, though, there's a game called Primitive Call in the making with a small team working on it that has incredible graphics and environments so far, though I don't know the limitations of the game they may have set yet :)

Pro Comment Here I like this game. Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean that everyone else should. I like the game and I think he should continue it. Just because you don't want that to happen, doesn't mean he won't continue it.
Some lovely tips for you.
Your head follows things like lizards and the little bird things. If your dino starts looking in a direction it usually means there is something in the vicinity..
The Orange cloud usually means that there is something that is too big for you to eat or its a danger for you...
The Green cloud is something you can typically eat..
Purple obviously means something that has died.
I don't suggest going after the "Dome heads" Until you are age 7 or at least Semi-Adult ... But the other little black raptors are something you can go for..
I hope this helped... I'm rocking age 13 going on 14 so I'll stay to give tips!

Any science is on constant update, is the foundation of science itself. Anything claiming to be a truth that doesn't need to be revised and updated is a Scam, a fairy tale to get money from fools.

Indeed. Though I do find that it doesn't seem to be as good about pointing out X does not mean Y as some sciences. Like the feathers thing.
T.Rex and other large dinosaurs, according to modern science's understanding, wouldn't have had feathers beyond possibly the "youth" stage, due to the fact that they'd overheat if they did. 's the same reason modern elephants only have sparse, trace hair. Smaller ones could get away with it and it was a big deal when we learned they had it which helped solidify the link to birds. But the bigger dinos, well our understanding there went unchanged.
But just tell that to the snob who likes mocking people for being "Wrong" about Chickasaurus Rex, for example.
Prehistoric feathers and hair don't work the same.
Take a look at Trey the Explainers vid about it, has some pretty cool science stuff in it.

Glad you and Jack both played this 😊 Also congrats on become a juvenile - that Raptor Prey Restraint thing doesn't seem to work very well in this growth stage, at-least for me since I kept getting shaken off. If you play again, just try and lure animals into fighting each other or look for the oasis since there's tons of creatures there

Dakotaraptors were actually some of the largest known raptors, standing taller than a grown man. 10 of them would definitely not make you happy. Not even 1.

Saurian's developers have worked with many professional paleonthologists while making this game, and they have made Dakotaraptor solitary based on current information.
Wasn't it a different kind of raptor that pack-hunted? Not sure what they're called, but I'm pretty sure it isn't Dakota-raptors.

When I was a kid I didn't dress up as a princess(or even a pirate lmao) like most of my friends, oh no... I dressed up as a full on dinosaur. I loved the giant lizards 😂 It's nice to see a game where you play as the dinosaurs and is actually fairly accurate in the design and behaviour!
I see nature games like these and think "gosh, I'm gonna reach the end of the forest here and see a road or buildings." Then I remember, there was ONLY forest back then. Only real world without human constructions. Must've been so nice and quiet.

Well, even with all the death and shit, it isn't like that isn't how National Parks or reserves already are. It just doesn't have a concrete fence around it to tell hairless apes to not destroy it.
And dinosaurs are the predecessors to birds. Even the T-Rex, to some people's dismay, was just a very aggressive chirper (if you want to see something that is evolutionary malpractice, look at cheetahs. They have no reason to be chirping like birds.)
So it would be a very unique forest to be in, yeah. Not to mention that during some of the eras of the dinosaurs, trees were reaching Redwood heights on average, and those would be beautiful to look at as well.

@@rhunter42dragon From what I've heard, that's actually not true. It's still debated whether dinosaurs hunted in packs or not. But large raptors like Dakotaraptor definitely could've been solitary hunters

About dinos having feathers researchers actually knew that dinosaurs had in the 1960s and it wasn't until the 1990s and present day that evidence shows that birds are a direct descend from dinosaurs. I don't know why all the information about dinosaurs having feathers is coming up now though.

In this specific game, that'll take a while. The plan is to fully flesh out Dakotaraptor's life cycle, implimenting everything that will affect it in the final game. Only then will work on the other three main playables (Triceratops, Pachycephalosaurus, and of course, Tyrannosaurus) be done.
