Just got my xz3, upgraded from xz. So snappy compared to xz. The display is magnificent, really is. Very slippy though, but they all are. Love this phone

Now, this is a proper phone review. Pros and cons are clear and the features are highlighted unlike what @Pocketnow does, who obviously doesn't know the features of this phone and showed so much hate. Anyway, thumbs up!

I really want the XZ2 Premium though with the dual cameras. That's the underrated one in my opinion. Still the only 4k screen phone and people are just ignoring it.
I just purchased it. Should be arriving soon, it was a tough call for me between these two because they are priced the same. Went with xz 2 premium in the end though, we'll see if I made the right call.

@@SonyEnthusiast price and the 6gb of RAM. Dual Cameras are nice, but I think the 6GB will help it's longevity.
@@akhilesh718 it's very cool, camera is amazing, but it is big, really big, other 5.8-6 inch phones have the 18:9 aspect ratio so they are narrower but this xz2 premium is 16:9 so it's very wide. Other than that it's perfect. It's checked everything off my list.

Sony has been a leader in many electronics for 40 years. Glad they finally curved their phones for better ergonomics. Stereo front facing speakers are a nice feature many omit. Cheers

They include USB adapter for 3.5 headphones jack in the box. He displays it in the video for a second with the other items included in the box.
They may have gotten rid of the headphone jack but, at least the dongle comes included with it. Unlike Apple in which you have to pay extra.

Slowing is feature of iPhone and Samsung. Sony never give you update which slows phones a least it happens for premium ones

Sony has become almost a forgotten company when it comes to smartphones. No one really talks about their phones. This phone does look very good but it's a shame that it doesn't have a headphone port. The price is also too high. The competition is sporting better specs with lesser price; don't think Sony is going to see much success with this.

OnePlus 7pro is all gimmick and marketing tool, take this from someone who sells phones..
Obviously they didn't pay for the IP Rating, however the 10layer water resistant build is absolute bullshit! 7 maybe 8 layers! No 4KHDR, always important for watching Netflix/YT and Prime video!
You are so right...if u compared Sony top ones with others...it will be number one always...and no body recognize it....so I think they don't deserve it....XZ3 is the most insane one tell now and can't wait tell 25 to see XZ4 and what it will have...from the leaks alone show it will beat all other flagships in 2019....I'm so happy for Sony to keep improving...it's slow but it's getting there...and they put lots of innovation into their devices and other companies copy that or steal the idea like Apple and Samsung and Huawei...haha ..for that I don't respect them ...Sony is the beast even if it's not out yet....they all will see ....just time

I have a Z3 and my friend has an s9+ disregarding the dynamic range my 2014 sony phone kicked out the s9+ in daylight shots with best colours contrast and saturation. Sony has professional grade post processing. Not fancy high contrast and saturated overly warm colours from most other phones

im a HUGE sony fan. Ive owned the ericsson, xperia z1, z3 premium, now im saving/waiting for their next one. I was thinking of the xz3 but the xz2 premium is a bit faster. but the new one with the 16:9 display is too nice as well. decisions.

No one talks about this flagship because it is hard to get, has a somewhat polarizing design (thickness wise), no headphone jack (for a company that specializes in Hi-Fi audio, this is baffling, even with their relatively good Bluetooth headsets), and a lackluster hardware. Their cameras, while somewhat on par with other flagships out there, has nothing really special to write home about. Just like HTC, there is no good reason to use a Sony flagship other than to say that you are different from the bunch.
How is it hard to buy?
I agree, removing the headphone jack when the company is centred around producing audio products is a dumb move from Sony.
HJL1130 their mics are the best I've heard in phones. Colours are quite accurate and the pictures in macro provide excellent detail with low ISOs. They are also faster than Samsungs and other brands except for the start ups. Selfies include wide field of view for many years now while others are only now incorporating that. On top of that the stereo experience is balanced. I'm not so sure on their newer devices but SONY had quite a balanced stereo experience. They make good phones that are lightweight on software but can punch like a heavyweight

It's a great phone with the best oled screen in my opinion but it's kind of small for me after using xzp so I had to go for the XZ2 premium!

I bought XZ3 last month & I can tell you that it has the best oled screen in the "game" but had to give it to my wife cause its just not in the same category with the XZ2 Premium.
Yes I recommend you buy it and you wouldn't regret it as its a "power-house"!

This phone is great for sure. Too bad it's just overlooked by a lot of people. The XZ4 will be unveiled in 2 weeks, hopefully it'll have the attention it deserves.
Hmmm. Finally, I've seen someone who still care about Sony phones. Sony simply needs better marketing and should be available worldwide. Can you imagine Samsung is launching their S10 series of phones in Ghana today? But Sony is nowhere on the continent, unless you import.

Same here my xz3 charges quick as fk and can play up to 4-5 hours until battery starts to go down to 20% or lower depending on the game

The charger that sony provides isn't utilizing power delivery, it is just a generic charger. Buy an aftermarket PD charger and you'll see charging speeds skyrocket.
Using this phone for 6 months now. And still no complains abt it. Best phone i had so far

Sold my old Galaxy S9+ (again) as i was disappointed & underwhelmed by it's:
1. Seemingly wide-angle front & rear camera
2. Weird yellow/purple hue when on low-light
3. Poor selfie camera
(everything about the selfie camera)
After all the software updates...would you say the XZ3 is much improved vs the S9+?
Or is it being hindered by the hardware?
Are we still receiving monthly security updates for the XZ3?
And would you say battery life and general performance has improved too?

The single lens camera without IS struggles to take a decent photo in low light...
I once own Sony Xperia z and z2..after that their phones prices are getting ridiculously expensive .as expensive as iPhone and smsung high-end....can't afford it afterwards..still..

It's not underrated. It's great but behind the times. Yes it does everything well but people care about how their phone looks. Even s8 is better in looks and there have been many phones release before the xz3 that still look and feel better. Xz3 is heavy too. I think it's one of the best on the market but it lacks a modern feel to it. Xz4 looks to be the best coming phone and my next one. Hope they don't let us down.
How comfortable to hold in the hand for long time, exp watching movies for long? And tell sony to give dual apps support.
Love Sony Phones. .my wife uses XZ premium and I am surprised it has barely been restarted apart from updates and the Sony Android is rock solid and snappy..Shamesung which I have after some months always have issues S7 and then that stupid S8 plus

Most smartphone OEMs have already omitted the jack from their flagships and I can see even Samsung and LG eventually dropping it too in the near future so you may as well get used to it. Bluetooth headphones are also being pushed more and more onto consumers.

Ive had the burgundy XZ3 since December and i can saffly say that the only negative i can say is that its too slippery so i alway use a case
Shame the 6 gig version is only in Chinese markets 6 gig ram should be on all of the phones plus the fingerprint sensor is to low down and the face detect didn’t work for me...
