Of course X-Men Origins Wolverine is on the list. That game is awesome. The violence is there as could be expected from Wolverine (really bloody to see him behead a guy on the rotor of a helicopter). I also really like how they introduced his instinct with a vision that reminds of the detective vision in the Batman Arckham series, and how it reveals invisible enemies (if Wolverine can't see you, he'll sniff you). And why wasn't the fight with the giant sentinel in the movie?
Escape from Butcher Bay is not the only adaptation of Riddick to videogames. There was also Assault on Dark Athena which released on PS3, if I remember correctly it was a sequel to EfBB.
Ghost Rider, The Punisher, Van Helsing and Wolverine are still awesome games. I still own the first two. Seeing this makes me want to replay them again!
Incredible Hulk from 2008 was definitely another fine example. The game is honestly kind of a time capsule. See when the Hulk movie came out in 2008 it was more seen as a standalone adaption of the character following Iron Man being a success the previous year however by this point what would become the MCU was not fully realized yet. This means that while the game references MCU Thor and Iron Man it also references other characters from comics as it wasn't bound by a single universe yet. But anyway that aside the 2008 Hulk game had some of the best open world destruction mechanics in a game until Just Cause 2 came out.
van helsing and ghost rider were great. loved the concept art you'd get for gr, had a real cool blackheart design in it. leaning into the old west feel the same way the movie did gives it a nice atmosphere and your flames powering up as you get better combos looks great. also addresses one of the big issues with the films, and kind of the 90's comics as well, in those gr shows up and fights last like 2 seconds, sure you can say it's to make him look strong, but after a while it gets old. in the game they get to go all out with cool fire and chain moves giving it a spectacle. loved the twin swords you get in vanhelsing, think both games really nailed the atmosphere.
Spawn In The Demon's Hand (2000) and Heavy Metal GeoMatrix (2001) were great Capcom licensed games better than their movies Spawn and Heavy Metal 2000 were honestly mediocre films but guilty pleasures
Ghost Rider Video Game has one of THE Best Gameplay I've ever seen. Reason why I Absolutely Love the game is cause' of Ghost Rider's Evil Archenemy and Worthy Adversary, Michael Badilino/Vengeance.

Van Helsing is a game that I've always been interested in trying out ever since I played the demo for it on my family's Van Helsing DVD. And when I got the game for Christmas in 2021, I was so happy and excited to try it out and I love it just as much as the movie.

I remember ordering it off of Amazon way back in the day and not being to play the day it arrived because my sister and her boyfriend had the TV to themselves that afternoon. I had to wait to play it the next day, and I could barely sleep. It was the rare game that lived up to my expectations, I remember not being able to put it down in the days afterwards. Being reminded of its existence now, I desperately want to experience it again.
A movie based on a video game Detective Pikachu is a great game and im hyped Detective Pikachu Returns is coming in Nintendo Switch, I've played Detective Pikachu with 3ds and it's so nice Detective Pikqchu game is coming to Nintendo Switch and by the way Detective Pikachu is my favourite movie of all time so I'll think in this my opinion movie like Detective Pikachu is better than it's game. Do you guys do ANY research? Escape From Butcher Bay was NOT the only Riddick game. It had a sequel, Assault on Dark Athena.
Terminator 3 Rise of the Machines was really fun especially if you use cheats so you really feel like an invincible Terminator

An Honorable mention. Transformers Revenge of the Fallen and Transformers Dark of The Moon. Specifically the Ps3 and Xbox 360 versions.
Most Disney games were pretty dope as well. I grew up with A Bug's Life, and Chicken Little was a pretty cool platformer as well.

technically speaking, The Punisher game was more an adaptation of the comics by Garth Ennis than the feature film.

Ratchet doesn't belong on the list. The movie is based on the game series not vice versa, same way you could include Max Payne or Resident Evil.
