It seems you forgot to mention the main advantage of the Wenger-style flat head screwdriver, that it recesses a bit in the knife handle and locks open against its backspring when you press it against a screw. This is also why it can't have the 90 degrees stop.
Thank you for the comparison as well as the review. I was aware of some differences, but the blade shape i never noticed as different. For as long as they are still in production, i might hurry and pick one up. Thank you Matt.
Need to pick one of these models up before they go away and are unreasonably priced. It just never ends with all the SAKs but they are a ton of fun. Thanks for showing this, Slippy.
Interesting to see the differences. Although I see they changed out the tin opener and the awl from the original Wenger one ( You cut towards yourself with the tin opener, and the awl didn't have the reamer ) to the Victorinox ones.
I love this series of SAK’s I have the 16 it’s the same thing as yours except it has the Philips screwdriver 🪛. I got it several years back and I’m glad I did it’s very hard too find with the Philips in this size. Great video Sawyer. ❤👍
Thanks sharing Slippy, those Wenger/Delemont scissors have always appeared to be more robust. Much stronger spring than the Vic. Never seen a comparison of the blade shape before and like that extra belly 👍🏻
I get the occasional SAK from obscure DIY online shops usually promotional models cheaper than usual. May have found a stupidly good deal this morning or I got ripped off. If it's the former I will pass on the details.
Great comparison Slippy. Thanks!
Glad you liked it!
It is my favorite EDC!
Amazing
Hi slippy,
I think Delémont refers to where the Wenger factory is, rather than Ibach, which is the location of the Victorinox factory
Thanks for the information Graham 🙏🏼
Excellent night, sir, and an excellent video
Thank you kindly

Great review, thank you for pointing out the differences in tool design.
Thanks for watching 🙏🏼🫡

I always forget something 😂
Nice review. Great deal!
Glad you enjoyed it
Nice comparison Slippy. I have 50+ SAKs but only about 4 Wengers, but none of the EVO types. I need to remedy that. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!

Great looking knife! I like that design! Great set of tools!!!
Thanks Mike
I seem to really like the Wenger style knives ,I really need a old vintage Wenger for my collection.
Yeah I'm really drawn to that blade shape
Thanks, Matthew, for the share/review/contrast of the EvoGrip. SAK was smart to keep/adopt this line from Wenger.
Totally agree, thanks for watching

Definitely worth it to have the grip scales, feels great in the hand and a fantastic tool set! Thanks for watching John 🫡

At neat knife! I like the blade on that one more as well. Thanks for sharing Matt!

Any information about this getting discontinued please
The entire Delemont range is slowly going 😔
@@SlipjointSawyer that’s a shame but thanks for letting me know 👍
