One of the voice actors, Vic Mignogna, told the story of how he got cast in the show and he was so shocked by it he asked to use a fake name in the credits.
Lets be honest, none of us would want our nanes in the credits XD

Some people-not very many at all, mind you-get all bent, so your comment means the world to me. At the time, I THOUGHT everyone would know, because we went after EVERYBODY, that we were of course joking and didn't mean any of it. So I'm really happy you received the show in the manner it was made: just being goofy.

Basically, this came out because ghost stories did really bad in Japan, so when it came to the American writers the only real rule they had was to stick to the OG plot points and weren't given requirements to say anything specific or keep to the OG voice lines. Therefore they went kinda wild, some of it's scripted some of it's just improving.

Okay, Tryna, YOU are HILARIOUS. While it's painful to watch a joke go by and you not react (which means you don't think it's funny, it hasn't aged well, or it actually wasn't funny, which smarts of course but hindsight is 20/20 and it's not like these things are recorded with a focus group) it is a delight and a joy seeing those cheeks of yours and that beautiful smile and expressive eyes explode onto your face when you laugh at something. It is the biggest gift. And while I didn't have time to watch all of your delightful video, what I saw I really enjoyed. In fact, I wish I could do another anime and I'd have your face pop up on screen at all the funny parts because you're just adorable! Truly! So thank you for doing this and I hope you realize the whole show was done at a different time, but NONE of it was done with an agenda or wicked intent. (Okay, the Republican jokes were, but I'm sorry there are a lot of things to dis the GOP about. As in if I was doing it now I would overdo slams about those FUCKING RACIST VOTING BILLS THOSE DICKHEADS ARE PASSING IN ALMOST EVERY STATE THOSE FUCKS!) That's why when I decided to go this route, I made sure EVERYBODY was a target. No favorites. And some of the jokes that people say are racist ("Do you have any books written by Black people?") aren't racist, they're just bring up the specter of racism. Like the "not because you're a rabbit joke." She's not saying it's not going to work BECAUSE the bunny's black but because, sadly, in some places still in America, it's actually not safe to be in a mixed race couple, which is disgusting. So...using comedy to make a point. And I'm gay and a Christian, so I goosed those two groups more than any other because they're my groups. But NEVER did we set out to hurt anyone's feelings. I was just trying to make people laugh. And to that goal, it's so sweet that you actually showed me that, yes, sometimes I succeeded. Keep up the good work!

One thing people miss in this joke at 1:14 is after they say "They only go after evil people like republican" then follows up with "And were not old enough to vote" insinuating that they would be registered republican if they were old enough to vote
