I realized I never commented on what a fabulous demonstration you did on my Binding Eaze! Thank you so much, you are amazing!~Susan Adams, Quilted Heartz
@@PowerToolsWithThread 😂🤣I was looking at new you tube videos. Yours came up and I noticed I never responded. I meant to, must have gotten distracted. But you were right. Our sales were the best ever in October. Your awesome! I really appreciated your demonstration, and support! Thank you again! Suz, Quilted Heartz
AWESOME!!! I've been making a lot of binding lately and wondered if there was a tool for making single fold binding. Will be getting one of these! Thanks for sharing!!!!!
I agree it is a must have and not only for quilters! Sadly I live in Australia and the cost of getting one and postage makes it over $80 AUD. Very sad 😞but one day! Thank you for showing us what is out there. 😊
Oooh, I would love to have one of these! I am tired of burning my fingers with the "metal" thingy and having to pin down the ends with double pins using a plastic contraption I impulse purchased at a craft show! 😅
I need this! I've been using 2 long straight pins to hold my binding tight on the ironing board, but still have to pick up the iron to keep from scorching the ironing pad. What a time saver this will be.
This is an awesome idea. Great tool to make the binding pressing so much easier. Thanks for sharing and thank you to Quiltedheartz for making it possible.
That product is clever! Years ago I used to use safety pins, but it was such a hassle to get the strip started and keeping it straight - and it didn't do anything to flatten the strip.
Oh you lucky lady. I had seen similar from Corey Yoder but lady doesn’t make anymore. 😞 I’m on list at FQS there fold out! Most awesome invention ever, another why didn’t I think of that!! 😅thanks
I've had one for couple of years, love it. FYI if you have a newer Oliso Iron may not work as you can't turn off the autolift feature. Luckily my previous iron still worked, so kept it for this purpose.
I never thought of that. Smart! I don't have a full size Oliso so it didn't occur to me. They should make a button on that iron to turn the auto-lift on and off.
For what I recall, there is a switch to change the auto lift on the Oliso. I’ve gone through a couple of Oliso irons. Like the now that the warranty is three years.
We just recently moved to Baytown Texas and I’m so excited to actually go to the Houston quilt show for the first time ever . I’m hoping to get to meet you in person I watch your videos all the time and it amazes me me how much you get done in what seems like a very short time with all you got going on . Love your videos
Becky, I seriously need help with binding and this tool can only help……I’m searching your site now to see if you have done any RUclips lessons for binding.
The slits on this mat are raised up just enough to allow the binding and any seams to slide through smoothly and unimpeded. If you just cut slits in a flat mat, the binding would be going down and under vs. straight across like this one.
@@PowerToolsWithThread Ah-ha! I see. Perhaps it might work the same way if I took a length of sturdy wire and poked it through the silicone mat and formed it like a large staple, bending it at the ends underneath the mat to keep it in place. Then the binding could pass easily between the mat and the wire. I could even put a few of them spaced 1/4 inch apart in a row to make different sizes of bindings more uniformly pass through, all on one mat. (You know, just because I do a lot of DIY, I think of these things.)
@@sewzolamarie7527 Possibly, but from my using it, it feels like the gap is large enough to prevent having to tug. I was easily able to just slide the fabric. No tugging that I noticed. But that's a good point.
Thanks for posting this. It looks like the FQS is out of stock on them. Here's a better link and I've updated the video description box. Thanks again! shrsl.com/45y1p
It’s out of stock everywhere I looked. 😢 Doesn’t even come up in the search on Quilted Heartz. Becky, I guess your viewers jumped on it. 😀You’ve made some very happy LQS owners around the country.
No more burnt fingers!! Love it.
I just joined your blog and registered to win the binding ease. I will be at the Houston Quilt Festival and am looking forward to meeting you.
This is a game changer!!! Thanks Becky!!
This is awesome, I do this without the silicone, this is much better......smart too

Boy, would I love to have that binding tool. I love blue but if I win, I would take a pes green if necessary.

I may be missing something, but couldn't you just cut your own slits in a silicone mat using a straight razor or pen knife? (Exacto Knife, etc.)
The slits on this mat are raised up just enough to allow the binding and any seams to slide through smoothly and unimpeded. If you just cut slits in a flat mat, the binding would be going down and under vs. straight across like this one.

@@sewzolamarie7527 Possibly, but from my using it, it feels like the gap is large enough to prevent having to tug. I was easily able to just slide the fabric. No tugging that I noticed. But that's a good point.
