I do a complete row of single crochet of 2 squares each time continuously leaving the other direction until all the 'down' seams are done and all squares attached on their left and right sides. The I turn the blanket and do the same on the open edges between each square, passing the loop on my hook under the seam you have just finished...wow that is hard to explain. I can see it in my mind 😂😂 hope you understand
Just just keep adding squares in the same direction, then after they are all attached, crochet the other direction. So do all of your vertical line, then start the horizontal lines after and just skip over vertical lines as you crochet :)
I’m sure someone has mentioned this, but you can do every row in one go. You chain one or can just skip it over the vertical line when doing the in between rows.
I used at minimum 1 skein of each color (except that 1 pink square). For the light blue, white, and light green I probably used 1 and a half skeins. And then the yellow I probably used less than 1 skein. Hope that helps!!
Girlfriend! You made so much more work for yourself piecing your quilt like that! Next time, all vertical lines first, then go back and do your horizontal lines, skipping over your vertical lines. Makes for one tail at each end of each line! It will save you soooo much time!!!!
WOW!!! That blannket is STUNNING!! 😍💖
Thanks so much 🩷
Crochet a decorative pillow. With the square in the middle. ❤ So cute.

They really are so cute (:
Gorgeous!
Thank you!!
When I do a granny blanket, I do all the rows top to bottom. Then all the rows left to right as one seam. Then you only have one tail at each end.
I'm not sure how you would only have 1 tail on each end unless you were to work into stitches that would otherwise be left unworked.

Having said that, it is a beautiful piece of art....just those ends to weave...well done and congratulations on getting it done ❤
That how I do it as well, it feels awkward and flappy for a bit but it makes for far less tails!

Yeah, I've had several people mention this now.. 🙈

@@pieces_of_scrap thank you! This is now on my list to make 🥰
First!! Love ur vids
Awww this is the first time someone has mentioned commenting first 😊 thanks for watching!!
That is lovely. How much would you sell it for? Lots of yarn cost & time.
Thanks! I don't want to sell it, but if I did, it would be over $200 at least
Also take a picture of it to help remember how it goes, you can have an actual visual
Yep, I took a picture of the layout of the squares before I crocheted them together and it was very helpful!
What kind of yarn do you use for your blanket?
It is Yarn Bee from Hobby Lobby and Bernat Blanket!
@@pieces_of_scrap thank you 😊 it’s beautiful!
Forgot to ask you what hook size do you use 😅
I believe I used a 8mm hook for the squares and a 3.5mm hook for joining
@@pieces_of_scrap thanks again 😊

🙈 thanks.. I think I mostly did it this way so that I wouldn't mess up the order of my rows
