Everything I have seen these people do is first class. Most people do not realize that with no studio mixing these people are mixing the sound by moving in and out (proximity to the microphone) and are consummate professionals that have skill beyond most of the performers seasoned by decades of live performances that use a sound person to make them sound good live. This is an art form in itself above and beyond being able to play the music at hand. I say this as a studio engineer and live performer with over 40 years experience in the studio and on stage, working with 6 rock & roll hall of fame groups, acts and individuals. Well done Petersons. Well done.

Beautiful job u-all .... And thank you for taking me back to my roots - for a few minutes!
Tokio!! Haven’t heard that word in a looong time. I spent three years in Levelland in the music program at South Plains College studying banjo with Alan Munde. Loved those years and getting out into the surrounding area playing little school arranged gigs, and at the different monthly “musicals,” basically town jam sessions. RIP grandfather, and thanks for the trip down memory lane.
I've always loved the old true country music and it's so amazing that the Patersons music is true old style country music, thanks so much petersons you make me feel like I'm already living in heaven 😊
I grew up in San Antonio listening to country music and you cannot imagine how many times I've heard this song. It was actually around for some time before George Strait recorded it. This arrangement and performance is so original and well performed it's like a new song again. My day is made.
Each one of them has remarkable character to their voices in addition to just sounding amazing. Beyond that, they're all exceptionally good at their instruments. Matt, I'll be honest and admit, I didn't think you were going to be able to hold a candle to George Strait, but you actually did a great job! Everybody actually did a great job! True story: Christmas morning of 1990 I was running a completion on a Quarles drilling rig in Scott, Louisiana. The rig crew was from South Texas where my dad was raised. The derrick hand said he was from Pearsal, Texas and I immediately came back with "home of George Strait!" The guy got a big grin on his face and told me this story. When George Strait made Country Music Entertainer of the Year, the folks in Pearsal were so proud they bought a big ole bill board sign out on Interstate 35 to let everybody that drove passed Pearsal know this wasn't just another South Texas farm town, they were near greatness, it was the hometown of George Strait! A couple years went by and George got caught up in all the fame and fortune with living the fast life and got himself arrested for cocaine possession! A couple days after the folks in Pearsal got word that their hometown hero had been arrested, somebody went out to the Interstate with a chain saw and sawed the legs off of that "Welcome to Pearsal Texas, Home of George Strait" sign! I guess the point of the story is, no matter how rich and famous you may become, don't ever forget where you came from!
Wow...then the Scripture is true...everyone who exalts himself will be humbled...there is nothing more humbling than to have the legs of a billboard sawed out from under one's name in lights..so to speak..I would imagine.

*LYRICS - Amarillo By Morning*
------------
Amarillo by morning, up from San Antone
Everything that I got is just what I got on
When that sun is high in that Texas sky
I'll be bucking at the county fair
Amarillo by morning
Amarillo I'll be there
They took my saddle in Houston, broke my leg in Santa Fe
Lost a wife and a girlfriend somewhere along the way
I'll be looking for eight when they pull that gate
Oh I hope that judge ain't blind
Amarillo by morning
Amarillo's on my mind
Amarillo by morning, up from San Antone
Everything that I got is just what I got on
I ain't got a dime, but what I've got is mine
I ain't rich, but Lord I'm free
Amarillo by morning
Amarillo's where I'll be [x2]

Matt Zelas comes through for us all again. Thank you sir! I emailed Ozark Music Shoppe for lyrics to ballad of John and Beckie two weeks ago and never heard from them. I'm wondering if they've been shut down by Co vid. Ellen's voice is powerful but kinda drowned out by all the (great) music
That hit the spot!!just what I needed!!thank you
Good job kids. appreciate you all.
Thank you so much for the beautiful moment. You are so talented...each of you.
Just before leaving for work...i needed this.
Yes!
This is the nicest group I have ever seen!
Matt has those bluegrass vocals and with Emmitts dobro it's heavenly
Awesome!
Every performance you folks mess me up. So much talent, master musicians, master vocalists. You sound so beautiful individually and as a group. Thank you for this music. Best part of my week.
My favorite song of of all-time. i am a retired Cowboy, and I had a lot of family in Amarillo, Texas. So lots of great memories ride along with me whenever I hear this great song. These kids do an amazing job. Thanks for the song.
Right on,you guys and gals keep playing them and I'll keep listening,
Each one using his / her giftedness to BLESS the world. Thanks!
The Petersens are the one bright spot in 2020. Love your music!
