@HarrysTruckingAdventures I bet mate! hopefully it doesn't take too long and ya back out sharpish. I drive for an events company in UK and did the containers thro covid..drove me mad lol!! is that what you be doing over there again fella?? 👍👍😀
It seems like a minefield, my head was battered listening to you, so it must be difficult as hell for you. I know you will get through it and be on the Road as soon as possible. I am following you with great interest Harry, its a most unusual Trucking vid and I look forward to each vlog. As usual, all the best.🚛🚛👍👍❤️
Cheers Stuart - I have plenty of time to learn it this week. Can't take my test until my social security number turns up. Without a SSN you don't exist.
Interesting watching this. I am an Aussie living in the UK. I most of my working life driving trucks and coaches in Australia. No tachos in Oz either. Trucks there are a mix of American and Euro, with Japanese trucks doing mostly short haul and local work. Trucks in Australia are speed limited to 100kmh (62mph) Road trains can do 90kmh or 100 in some places. Driving hours vary from state to state, with the most in Western Australia at 17 hours a day. Long haul drivers are mostly paid so much per kilometre. The bigger the truck the higher the rate. B Doubles are a common sight as well as double road trains. In more remote areas you will see triples and quads up to 60m long. Anyway Im rambling on here. Good luck with your new venture in the USA. I hope you enjoy it and keep safe. Cheers. Subbed.
@HarrysTruckingAdventures No, not scary at all, isolated and lonely, yes. The unwritten rule is if you see someone broken down, you stop and offer assistance. Also always make sure you carry spare, belts, hoses, water, etc.
Great little video mate. Your tans coming along haha. Can you tell us a bit more about the weigh stations please because I don’t get it. I hope your loving it over there
Hey harry not long since came across your channel and see that you used to run out of a argos old yard in normanton which is near where I live and I used to work out of that yard.I would love to see the process of how to get a job and setup in USA I’m a class 1 driver myself been doing that from age of 21 and I’m 47 now and always fancied the states as I know they can earn some nice money.Great channel btw m8
Hi Dean, there is a video already on the channel, but I am in the process of updating it to make it complete A to Z of the whole process. I hope to have it out later this week.
Ive been driving class 1 lorrys for 10 years on nights in the uk as thats where the money is, how does uk class 1 and usa class 1 pay compare ? I eould love to move out of the uk
I am remaking the video I did for the whole visa process. Should be up sometime tomorrow or Saturday. Pay wise, I guess they are about the same. New drivers will be in the $60k range, more when you get experience. The real golden goose if FedEx and UPS, they are $120k plus!
Well done Harry you are getting stuck in as you remember I said do they have a tacho or a log book, see that the US use the palm couplings on their trailers, its all going to be new and a steep learning curve but you will walk it,better still drive it😂
Enjoying your videos! I’m interested to know about the tax situation; are you in anyway “punished” by the IRS for, presumably, still holding financial assets in the UK?
UK and US have an agreement. You only pay tax in one country on your earnings - so I only pay to IRS on what I earn in the US. If I earn anything in the UK and pay tax on that to the UK then the IRS are ok with that. I will move all my financial assets to the US and I will only pay tax in the US. My parents did it 8 years ago and they had no issues. It would really only become messy if, say I had a house that I was renting out in the UK and had to pay tax in the UK on my earnings. Thankfully I am a pretty easy case.
@@dannycrooks8462 Hi Danny. It will be shipping container work I will be doing mostly on the same route as well from Phoenix to Long Beach and back. They expected around 3 runs a week there and back
Loving these vlogs. So interesting and different👏👏
Thanks Jon - Until I get my car in a couple of weeks I am more or less stuck in place. I will try and show as much as I can about Arizona life :-)

Thanks Kenny, after a week here with no driving I am already getting itch feet. I want my truck and want to get out there :)

Thank you - I would love the real state to state long haul drives. The Aussie outback would be a scary place though I bet!

Sounds like a 1970s European or old English 8 version of trucking tbh lol things have moved on so much USA seems stuck in an era that's gone.

80,000 lbs still less than uk 44tons===80,000lbs is 36240kilos
Yep - I was surprised by that too - I just assumed that in the US everything is bigger!
Great videos
Thanks Danny - it's difficult not having any transport - my car will be brought down in a couple of weeks so I will have some independence.
What sort of work will you be doing
