The sheer dedication of making a model from scratch had me sold, but then the animations are so lively and full of character despite being in its very early stages that my jaw dropped. You're the goat of smash modding bro
wow these animations already look final. BIG step up from the goku development process as it seemed you had to tweak a good amount of them, but these ones look Nintendo as hell
thanks. for this moveset i focus on fully finishing a move first before i get to another move. Instead as for goku where i kinda randomly worked on moves and had to come back a few times to them to edit/add stuff.

Much like when I saw Agumon in Smash Crusade for the first time, this is all I could've ever wanted from Smash, to see Agumon/Wargreymon or a character from Digimon join the fight. You've truly made my dream come true. *THANK YOU!*

I like that the remaining moves are from Samus as a temporary placeholder. They fit fairly well and are a nice base to work off from. For a final smash, since you already have both of Wargreymon’s special moves as his neutral and up-special, maybe you could have him summon MetalGarurumon to fuse into Omnion/Omegamon for one big attack!

The only thing that's missing is Mega Claw. Instead of Down B being another counter, it should have been that.
Something I also noticed is how the non-special Great Tornado (Dash Attack) actually works the same way it does in Digimon Rumble Arena.
You can connect the special move into regular jabs and then into a grab, so I have to wonder if you can do the same with this mod. I used that combo all the time against my friends back in the PS1 era, so it's nice to see it being applied by someone who actually played that game.

Someone already said it in the comments but his Neutral B in the air should be diagonal (when possible) other than that, amazing work man, really!

Honestly I'm baffled that Digimon hasn't been included as a franchise in Smash at all yet, Digital pet devices do count as Video Games so the series does count for inclusion.
Considering Bandai Namco hates their franchises it's a wonder Digimon is still alive to begin with 😭

actually peak. despite knowing nothing about digimon, i absolutely love this. almost makes me want to get into the series...
im considering commissioning a few mods myself after playing with goku a lot and seeing this, as id like to see a huge list of characters be playable in the future and can trust that you may do them justice. obviously not gonna give the whole list to you but there are a handful i would give over time
Damn, this is one of the cleanest mods I've seen. Even better that it's Digimon. Hope you'll make more someday, would personally love to see Machinedramon (preferably the OG version).

This looks radical my dude. A passing thought I had was that it would be cool if you could change the trajectory of Terra Force while in the air. Cause when I think of the move, I think of the original series and the animation they would use for it, with him in the air and tossing it downward.
But feel free to ignore me and continue working on it however you want. It looks fantastic so far.
It's unreal this is a fanmade character. This looks so professional and authentic, I'd have mistaken him for an official DLC character. A shame we couldn't get WarGreymon instead of bullshit like Byleth or Steve, but that's why we have dedicated fans with bangers like this.

THIS IS SO COOL!!!! I think the regular forward jump would look cooler and more dynamic if he threw his arms back, like he uses his entire body to launch himself.

This looks great, but I think there is a missed opportunity here making his Up Special works like in Digimon Rumble Arena, same for neutral B

This is an amazing mod. I love the details in the model and movements. I always thought there were models for wargreymon for rumble arena, the cyber sleuth series and new world though from scratch is more amazing

First mod that has me impressed. Ofc theres still more to work on, but i do hope some stuff gets revised like the hit sfx of the neutral b, along with side b having some more impressive after images cuz the claws dont feel impactful.
(Also up b's voiceline gets stale after a few uses, maybe make it so he says it fewer times)

If you want digimon sprites to work with try ripping them from digimon rumble arena 2 Incase you wanna make metal garuru mon and omnimon next 👍

I stopped watching digimon a long time ago, but this is insane. That doesn't even look like it belongs in smash, it's too good! How did you make nearly everything so smooth?!
As of the character itself, I feel like some of the Samus placeholder moves can actually stay. Up Smash in particular feels like a perfect fit. What definitely has to be changed or replaced, though, is the tether grab. Also, you might want to nerf Great Tornado a little. It's quite unique to have a move that can be angled in any direction including downwards, but for that, the damage/KB combined with its recovery potential is just a bit much.
Your videos blow my mind dude. Like, genuinely amazed that you can do all of this yourself. As far as tweaking things, do whatever the FUCK you want lol. I can only imagine how difficult and time consuming all this must be, just to have some mfs come in and be like "hey can you pls add an animation for this, that, and this"

Very impressive Digimon character mod video dude. I haven't played any Digimon video games, and when I was a little boy. I know the Wargreymon is my favorite Digimon evolution form.
I know next to nothing about Digimon, but still, I'm interested in trying out this mod.

Honestly he should've been included to represent Bandai Namco. Also fix Nova/Terra Force so you can throw it at an angle similar to Mythra's Up B
Fun Fact: Smash Bros fan game known as Crusade has Agumon *AND* Patamon playable
That side b, you can get away with exaggerating that key pose much more to give it more 'oomph'
I like how the model looks, and I also like the Great Tornado recovery and dash attacks as well as the basic normal attack combo, but I don't like the side special nor the Terra Force neutral, it just feels off that he gets to use his ultimate attack all the time if he feels like it, and it feels too similar to Samus' charged shot, I saw that there were many other moves that were basically Samus' too, and since you even used Digimon Rumble Arena music in this, you should have taken the Mega Claw special from that game and maybe turned it into the Side special or something, as for the neutral maybe use Grey fire or some other fire attack, and leave the Terra Force as the smash ball attack otherwise it loses its ultimate status.
If they ever decide to make another digimon rumble arena, they ought to hire you

I think the up B looks too busy, so much so that it doesn't really feel like it has spin the way a tornado does. It also starts suddenly and ends just as suddenly.
This was/is my dream character for smash bros. Doing gods work here.

As a suggestion (aside from the commented diagonal Gaia Force), how about giving less knockback to his up B and making it usable twice in a row, like he does in Digimon Rumble Arena? That could lead to very interesting combos.
Another Idea that comes to my mind is Rumble Arena's Dragon Crusher (the one that hits twice) as his F throw or F smash.
The only attack I didn't like the animation for was side special. The rest of this looks incredible, some of the best work I've seen on any Digimon character. Can't wait for more.

That would've been interesting for Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale, where reaching certain levels on the power meter would automatically trigger evolutions. It would constantly drain your meter over time, but you have to reach the level below to go down evolution tiers (I.E. reach Level 1 for Greymon, but if the meter reaches Level 0 and empties, you revert to Agumon, Level 2 for Metalgreymon, reach Level 1, and empty completely, you revert to Greymon, etc.), thus Agumon would play closer to Digimon Rumble Arena 2 compared to other characters in PSASBR.

If you need inspiration for more moves, check digimon rumble arena for the PSX wargreymon is in there too , it was an smash like game and has a lot of cool moves that you could adapt into
I think the counter would be cooler if it used the shield on his back to do some attack. Or at least to block.
(Extra comment cuz yt on mobile is sucking ass for me and wont let me edit) neutral b's tragectory could be more of a downward one, and maybe have to provide a slight boost in the air when released.
Down b could have him strike a better pose as well, maybe 1 of his arms can be used like a shield while he hides behind it, or do an incineroar but instead of belt he puffs his chest out. Another option is to make him use both arms like in boxing, but that might be a bit much. Again i hope for the bedt with this mod it looks incredible
