there are a lot of talented people here but talent doesn't automatically equate to success, there's personality and motivation, most people just wants a simple life, a drug free, none obnoxious, none insidious life style
Every time I search for "MaryJo Pierce" a junior vocalist that won in 1987, this video comes up, but she's not in it. I don't even have to include "Star Search" in the search. It still comes up. Anyone know where the videos are? They were once here on RUclips. She didn't continue singing, but should have.
Interesting how Phil Vasser became a bigger success than David Slaytor. The judges got it wrong on that one. Cheryl Barnes did nothing. I didn't hear anything from her after her win. And the King Pins?? What happened to them??
4:47-5:11, "Bruce Lee ✨ as Cheng, a young man who, after the 💀 of his mother, moves to Bangkok to live with his uncle and cousins, and soon, it comes down to the final showdown between Cheng and his boss. It's a 🥋 blockbuster you'll never forget. Bruce Lee ✨ in 👊 of Fury, Monday at 12:00pm on WDRB-TV, Channel 41 in Louisville. Viewer discretion is advised."-Ray Foushee. Don't forget that Foushee also recorded the following end-of-show bumpers for WDRB: "Join Adam West and Burt Ward as they don the famous costumes and battle familiar foes from the Riddler to the Joker to Catwoman to the 🐧. From the pages of the DC Comics books comes Batman, weekdays at 2:00pm on TV-41!" "It's a never-ending war between Optimus Prime and the Autobots and Megatron and the Decepticons in a war that will decide the fate of the 🌌! It's more than meets the eye with The Transformers, weekdays at 4:30pm on The Entertainer: Louisville's WDRB-TV 41!" ...and... "Every weeknight, 🇦🇺's most-watched drama comes to Kentuckiana for a half-hour of action and drama. From the imagination of Reg Grundy comes Prisoner: Cell Block H, weeknights at 11:30pm on TV-41."
I was a teen when I saw this, so of course watching this brings back sooo many great memories. Always was partisan David Slater, but gosh looking back on this, he looked like Howard Hewitt. Wonder has anyone ever told him that?
The King Pins have a Facebook page and are making a comeback. I noticed Cheryl Barnes and how she did not go commercial. It's a shame. I loved the song she sang in the finals.
i miss star search. does anyone else.

Same here....Wonder what happened to her??
She was on MySpace. I think she is or was a hairstylist. I thought she had a future. She was only 12 or 13 and she was so mature.
Cheryl Barnes was one of the finest vocalists every to appear on the show only to disappear. I wonder why?
I liked Leslie White, too, though.
@@NoteFromSELF That was a tough loss.
Maybe she got death threats, after Leslie White loss.
r there full showing of this on youtube
Tina Littlewood-Morse went on to be a psychologist.

Her biggest claim to fame came 8 years before her appearance on Star Search. She starred in Milos Forman's 1979 film version of 'Hair'.

I didn’t know Phil was on this show. He came out the better entertainer.
The King Pins have a Facebook page and are making a comeback. I noticed Cheryl Barnes and how she did not go commercial. It's a shame. I loved the song she sang in the finals.

WWOR 9 aired Star Search
I believe for the first few years it aired in the Tri State area on WNYW Channel 5 then after that switched over to WWOR 9.
And it Also Aired on WTKR TV ch.3 local CBS affiliate
And also on WDRB-TV, Channel 41 in Louisville and WKYT-TV, Channel 27 in Lexington and on WGN-TV, Channel 9 in Chicago as well!
WUAB (now My-43) in Cleveland, Ohio aired "Star Search" back in the day.
As well as WSB here in Atlanta (they were one of the very few stations who aired Star Search throughout its entire run)
