When he turned into a circus act full blown.. I love Dave on the first 4 Van Halen records, but from there it went downhill to Dave circus, and he went down that road, but not with me as an fan.. Great frontman, but from Diver Down and up untill present day, no thank you.. Same old jokes, think you can dance, and make music without Eddie.. Nope.. Rockclown is what comes to mind, and that is so sad.. You could have been the greatest ever , but you turned it into what you think is funny, well for 2 minutes Dave, then it gets old watching you tell the same jokes do the same moves etc.. Now you cant sing you gor no hear looks older than you are, and i m thinkin what happend to my idol, from Fair Warning??.. 1982 must have changed the Dave i loved, cause you lost it from there and to this day not as an person but in music, you are lost, gone, over the top..
I guessing you never listened to his other solo albums, with, yes , guitarists other than predictable Eddie. Steve Vai, Jason Becker, Steve Hunter, Terry Kilgore, John 5. oh, I could go on and on...but why bother. True DLR people understand that Dave could command ANY band he played with, and lots of these cats were chompin' just to play with Roth at the time. He rocked the c*ck out of the egotist Van Halen brothers.. Don't even get me started on the Van Hagar years...talk about going 'downhill'. LOL ;-)
