only somewhat of a question (Roth DID change demeanor around '07)
*before then* *Billy Sheehan* , *Steve Vai* , *Edward Van Halen*
(at some point decided that they were better off without DLR idiosyncrasies)
*~* a precursor to (personally beloved as poet *&* AFTER 1987 tone guitarist 'innovator' ) Billy Corgan's studio manners *¿*
~ not all sides can be correct here *-*
      Holiday caffeinated cheers.

@@s1iznc1d34 Dave DID join into the band the next master guitarist to go mainstream - *Jason Becker* ... but unfortunately ALS took Jason Becker down, right after the recording of A Little Ain't Enough album. Jason never got to go on that tour, and became confined to a wheelchair as his whole body turned to stone. Jason was a prodigy on his way to guitarist superstardom, which has been well covered in several documentaries over the years, looking back to the pre-ALS years. Look him up on RUclips. Jason is still alive today, living well beyond what was expected for any ALS survivor. Jason is barely mentioned today, but has always been known and respected by Van Halen, Vai, and every other guitar hero you know. I highly recommend doing some research on RUclips for videos, and go down the Jason Becker rabbit hole. You won't be sorry. You will be amazed and stunned. Maybe even inspired. I remember we were all excited when this video first aired on Mtv. Was eager to see Dave show the world how it's really done. Seemed like back then everybody you met was either a musician or wanted to be one. Fun and exciting times.

Woah ! Takes me back to being 16 ! I love the chorus and that rolling melody. This is the result when you get 3 of the best at the top of their game, give them freedom to do what they want and have fun. DLR is one of the strongest front men the world has ever seen. I saw VH live back in the day and whilst EVH was a mega talent it was Dave that gave them the extra special star quality. Thanks for posting.
