Sorry, but what Neytiri sad when in movie she sad: Kawka, kesle youna navi! - is that means in na’vi „you will never be one of us” like she said in that scene?
Hey there, sorry for such an late reply. Indeed it means "you will never be one of us", ("you will never be one of the people") but let's brake that down. Neytiris sentence is: "Kawkrr ke slayu nga Na'viyä hapxì" "ke slayu nga" is the "you won't be" part "Kawkrr" is "never" and "Na'viyä hapxì" is "a part of the people" So the sentence would be translated as "you will never be a part of the people"

Guy who made the language said that Na'Vi is a spoken language without a script. So it's likely the sky people used Latin script to help ourselves tie sounds to symbols so we could share the language more easily.
actually, philip anderson, it canonically has no written form, and is spoken only. we who are outside the universe of avatar write it in latin script because that is what the actors needed.
+Kamil B. there are SO many languages which use roman letters which dont represent sounds found in the english language. w in english carries a oo-uh pronunciation, where a w in german carries a v sound. this language was crafted, it obviously isnt going to follow the rules of english
Trust me, I know about it. I speak french, italian, my native is Polish and I can read russian, greek, german and japanese. (I don't mean to boast about it, but you seem to assume I'm reffering only to English pronunciation). This is why I see logic common to different languages. The point of my comment was to express astonishment rather than critic of choosing this letter to write a retoflex flap. Plus the use of a letter "v" confuses everyone and they pronounce it wrong.
It terms of the percentage of all the languages on earth. they're not too rare, but in terms of the total number of people that speak a language with ejectives, they're pretty uncommon.

The language has meaning to it, and there are multiple programs to save the languages of the americas, like navajo and mohawk. But these languages are hard to speak, and na'vi was made just for fun. It's just fans having fun. Traditions of the american languages will not go away, and if they do, we still have stories and grammars of these languages. Stop being an ass and fact-check yourself/think before posting on the internet.
Hey, let them be a part of their fandom. If you want to support dying languages, do it yourself by learning them and raising awareness for your cause. It is not a " completely new language" as is often stated.
It uses the Latin Script and thus is tied to the Earthly language/ script somewhat.
