    reminds me of those oldschool snowdog tools - lcp evictor and lcp hotel. nice to see how it all worked! thanks!

      I downloaded all tools but didnt really explore them. Evicting takes poking one byte in the parameter store, so that will likely also be in my version.

      I am trying to distribute between interviews and tech stuff. It has been less tech stuff in recent history, and I will see if I can add stuff there. Thanks

    There is a 3rd dog colour, that comes into play via the 3rd byte of the serial number, along with some colour combinations of clothing.

    Lovely. The serial characters can mean 'activation' as well...

    • @FairLight1337
      @FairLight1337  21 день назад

      I didnt get that. The serial is the seed for which character you get.

    Interesting topic. LCP is a bit different on tape than the disk. The diskette version has some extra features that the tape version does not have.

    • @FairLight1337
      @FairLight1337  25 дней назад +1

      Agree. The tape version doesn't load external modules like the records, piano tunes and that stuff...

    Another great video, thanks! Q: What's your workflow with 6502Bench when you hit large range of self-modification (such as an EOR deobfuscation loop)? Can you overlay a modified byte range without losing the code analysis already completed?

    • @FairLight1337
      @FairLight1337  23 дня назад +1

      Great question. I have never worked with such a project, so I haven't had the case. I could see that Pirate Slayer boot would be an example.

    coders have extra fun gaming! :)

    • @FairLight1337
      @FairLight1337  25 дней назад +1

      Crackers hate playing games. You train them and the compulsory need to test. Boooring.

    • @gnu-lynx2501
      @gnu-lynx2501 25 дней назад

      @@FairLight1337 that's understandable :) To me as mere gamer cracking and training games seemed an uncomprehensible divine gift and there was no book to shed light on the tools and skills.

    are those tools available on linux or macos?

    • @FairLight1337
      @FairLight1337  25 дней назад

      Which of the tools? 6502 bench or any of the others?

    •  25 дней назад

      @ as far as I understand most of the tools you are using, they all windows apps right?

    • @gnu-lynx2501
      @gnu-lynx2501 25 дней назад

      a matter of taste, I'd use linux to be at $home

    • @FairLight1337
      @FairLight1337  24 дня назад +2

      Not really. Sublime is multi, VICE is on all systems and KickAssembler is JAVA so its any system as well. 6502 bench is Windows only, so that is the only one.
