With the Kitty Kitty part, are you thinking of Same Ol' Situation by Motley Crue, where at the end Vince sings, "Here kitty, kitty. Here kitty, kitty!"??
First ever KISS album I ever heard. It was quite a big album for them in the UK...Thought it was good when I was ten years old, then realised it was absolute garbage a couple of years later when I was listening to the likes of Gun's N Roses and Metallica....Scarred me so much I totally wrote KISS off and didn't explore their 70s albums until I was in my 30s. Crazy Nights stopped me from knowing what a great kick-ass band KISS were in the 1970's.
This album is special to me, I was 12, and it was one of the 1st albums I owned. It's something sentimental or whatever, at the point that is on my top 10 KISS albums ever. But on the other hand, I really enjoy your videos burying Crazy Nights, Hot in the Shade, Van Halen with Hagar, etc. Don't have to agree with all! Great Channel, my respect!!!!
Love this album, a whole lot! "Reason To Live" and "Crazy Nights" are some of my top KISS tunes. The album to me has a sort of dreamyish and open sound especially on "Reason To Live". "Bang Bang You" and "When Your Walls Come Down" suck though. While I'm not a big fan of that tour especially on the Monsters Of Rock leg, I do like that they had the late Gary Corbett from Cinderella on tour as their keyboardist. Enjoyed this review as usual though, keep on rocking!
I agree with you to a large extent that people conflate their personal preferences with some kind of objective truth. However, I think, within a limited scope and with certain agreed upon metrics (influence on other bands, for example), we can meaningfully debate which bands and music tend toward what we, as a society, deem as "good" or having value.
Well my friend you are absolutely right. 😂 Here kitty kitty and everything else. Love listening to your reviews and the old ones also. Peace and safety. 👊
One of my favorite things in life is the Crazy Nights review you and Wadzilla did with Bill Wang and Chris Czynszak for Rock and Metal Combat Podcast many moons ago. It was insightful, entertaining and very fucking funny and I still listen to it to this day. Keep up the great work!
I LOVE Crazy Nights! It was my first KISS album and back then there were no "fan rules" of "you have to like or dislike this or that album". I loved it first before the internet, so I was never informed about the "rules" of a "true fan". "I'll Fight Hell to Hold you" is my fav Kiss song ever.
"Mr. D." is cool with this one (except the dorky title track and "Bang Bang You")! I don't mind the 80's pop-like, cheesy "Hair Metal" sound. I place this album near the middle of their 20 studio releases, ranked at around number 11.
Reading that Crazy Nights was a first Kiss album for a lot of people makes me feel old. Shit, my first Kiss record wasva 45 of Rock and Roll all night, then ALIVE! Ijumped ship after hearing I was made for loving you. '74-'78 Kiss was the best.
They’re Three KISS Albums I didn’t Like. This is one of them. Great Review. I Agree with your song rating. The Album is Just Horrible. Crazy Nights Hot in the Shade Sonic Boom 💥
Like several other Kiss studio efforts, Crazy Nights has improved with each listen for me! So many fun tracks to my ears! Reason To Live happens to be my top-favorite Kiss ballad.
I only like Crazy crazy Nights and "turn on the night". I never seek any of the other songs at all. I always thought if they ever remixed it; maybe if they replaced the keyboard with guitar it might be a little less sucky.
Ok Ralphael this album is #18 for me. So bottom of the barrel has and always will be Unmasked! For me Naked City is about as good as that album gets. Crazy Nights not much better. The production kills it though songs like Bang Bang You My Way When The Walls Come Down 🤮🤮🤮 Crazy Crazy Nights No No No Hell or High Water Thief In The Night are all pretty good mid/late 80’s rock. That suffer from the crappy 80’s production of Ron Nevison Ozzy Heart to name a few Still fun review as always 🤘🏻
I know this album sucks but I still enjoy it. I have to lie to myself to enjoy it but I do enjoy it, and I understand completely why people hate it. I agree with you that Paul's songs are worse than Gene's. 11.When Your Walls Come Down 10. Bang Bang You 9. I'll Fight Hell To Hold You 8. No No No 7. Crazy Crazy Nights 6. No No No 5. My Way 4. Hell Or High Water 3. Reason To Live 2. Thief In The Night 1. Good Girl Gone Bad ( I love this song, I don't care what anybody says)
Thank you for everything, Dr. Fukk. Life isn't being the best to me right now but I'm so glad I can come here and let Dr. Fukk make me laugh some. It means more than you'll ever know, brother
The lyrics to "Bang Bang You" are problematic at best. "Don't hide or try to get away," "I'll shoot you down with my love gun," "I'll be the villain in your book of dreams," etc. Doesn't seem like Paul is very open to the idea the woman could say "No." Kinda seems more like a rape.
not lying but i got into kiss and Sabbath in like 76 at the age of 3 or liked it at least.my older brother of 10 years had a cool record collection at a young age so i didnt even worry about buying records till i was like 10 years old.
Not a fan of this album either- but I must say; from this point until mtv unplugged, Mr Simmons was at his most f*ckable. Guess I'm just an old groupie 😂 keep rockin Ralph 🤘
I think that this album was simply a product of the times it was written and recorded in. Frig...at this period, even the Ramones were using glossy production and gated drums on their albums...
Thief in the Night and No no no are 2 of my favorite Kiss songs. They definitely feel lost on this album, like they should of been on Creatures or Asylum. I recently listened to Crazy Nights and tried to like it. Besides all the Gene songs and 2 Paul songs, the rest is crapola. Eric Carr did kick ass on this album. So did Bruce but with horrible guitar tone. I laughed at this review. Well said
I don't care, I like this record. I wonder if people would hate it as much if it was more bottom heavy in production, and I'm old school , too but I can't help it, haha~!!
I thought it sucked too man but I own it on every format possible so I guess it can’t be that bad,or I’m just stupid,or both. I actually got it out the other day and gave it a listen, and believe it or not it still sucks.
This isn’t my favorite KISS record but I certainly do not hate it. I do love hair metal. That includes Poison and Bon Jovi in their prime. On a more personal note “Reason To Live” got me through some of the hardest moments of my life. Just for that reason I could never really hate this album.
The worst album of 1987 this album should have been produced by Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Eric Carr and Bruce Kurlick the songs I do like 1.Theif in the Night. 2.When your walls come down. 3.No No No. 4.Turn up the Night. 5.Reason to live. 6. Good Girls Gone Bad. 7. Crazy Crazy Nights. 8.I'll fight hell to hold you 9.My Way. 10.Bang Bang You 11.Hell or high water
When it came out I Hated. I can tolerate three song on it.When they took the make up off I had a hard time to like them. The sound on that album is terrible. I bought the cassette years later in a pawn shop. Now I have it on cd,but cheap
I hate this album and really really tried to like it but just never happened. So much other great music to listen to, why bother? I bought it on cassette because that's the only way I could listen to music at work at the time. I skipped the tour and all the rest except the first reunion tour.
I agree with you on Paul Stanley being a crappy frontman. I think he's cringe worthy - his accent along with the way he talks to an audience, going all the way back to "Vodka and Arange juice" from the live album. I know you don't care for Eddie Trunk, but I can't understand why he thinks Paul is/was a great front man. My other Eddie Trunk pisser is that he always claims David Lee Roth could never sing. DLR was never a classically great singer, but the proof is in the live stuff from the early days - he was waaaaaayyyyy better than he is now. Smoking pack after pack of Camel unfiltered cigs is part of what killled DLR's voice.
I was so disappointed when I heard this album when it was released , 3 or 4 songs ( crazy crazy nights , reason to live , thief in the night and maaaybe turn on the night ) the rest of the album is just filler and trash and even the good songs I mentioned are just "ok" not stellar ! it should have been an EP . its on the bottom of the kiss albums I like .
This album is the worst the tour was terrible I saw them at the civic center in San Francisco the stage show was bad everything was bad accept anthrax opened and they were good
I gave up on Kiss for quite some time. I know he is an excellent guitarist, but the Kulick era is terrible imho. Asylum, Hot in the Shade and Crazy Nights. Revenge is ok.
Your hatred of this album is comedy gold. I can take it or leave it.
I’ll never get tired of you talking about this album. Fucking gold. Thanks, brother.
With the Kitty Kitty part, are you thinking of Same Ol' Situation by Motley Crue, where at the end Vince sings, "Here kitty, kitty. Here kitty, kitty!"??
two shitty songs.
No. That song came after Crazy Nights.
Don't have to agree with all!
Great Channel, my respect!!!!
Thank you!
This was my first record when I was 8, I enjoy it alot, but I also enjoyed this review alot, I was cracking up 😂
Definitely not a classic album but I really enjoy Turn On The Night. It’s a fun song BTW Kiss used the same model from the Reason To Live video.
Different models. The Reason to Live model married some rich guy. The Turn on the Night model has unfortunately passed away.
I went crazy with Kiss!I wish I still had the concert shirt...the album on the other hand.
It Stinks 👌
Thanks Rick
I like Hell or High Water, Crazy Crazy Nights, and Turn on the Night. That's it.
I love this album but boy do I enjoy your reviews of it!
Thank you! And I am glad you like it. You win and I lose when it comes to Crazy Nights.
My favorite Kiss album...by far...and I have been a kiss fan since 1975..saw them in San Diego 1988 with Anthrax....just amazing
Love this album, a whole lot! "Reason To Live" and "Crazy Nights" are some of my top KISS tunes. The album to me has a sort of dreamyish and open sound especially on "Reason To Live". "Bang Bang You" and "When Your Walls Come Down" suck though. Well my friend you are absolutely right. 😂 Here kitty kitty and everything else. Love listening to your reviews and the old ones also. Peace and safety. 👊
Man, this review was fucking hilarious. I generally love to watch videos of people shitting on crappy albums. Cracks me up every time.
Your comment about a spike in suicide rates and sucking shotguns had me cracking up. 😂😂😂
Love your concert stories. Did you see kiss on creatures with vinnie?
Yes I did
I LOVE Crazy Nights! It was my first KISS album and back then there were no "fan rules" of "you have to like or dislike this or that album". I loved it first before the internet, so I was never informed about the "rules" of a "true fan". "I'll Fight Hell to Hold you" is my fav Kiss song ever.
Ha! I didn't expect to hear Zappa's name mentioned in this vid. A fun watch. 😁👍🏻
Crazy Wipes
"Mr. D." is cool with this one (except the dorky title track and "Bang Bang You")! I don't mind the 80's pop-like, cheesy "Hair Metal" sound. I place this album near the middle of their 20 studio releases, ranked at around number 11.
have to agree on "Bang Bang You" and "My Way" but "Turn On The Night" should have been in the set, a truly guilty pleasure!
“Here kitty kitty” is Motley Crue. Sam Ol Situation.
That came out after Crazy Nights
Reading that Crazy Nights was a first Kiss album for a lot of people makes me feel old. Shit, my first Kiss record wasva 45 of Rock and Roll all night, then ALIVE! Ijumped ship after hearing I was made for loving you.
'74-'78 Kiss was the best.
Best part of this era of Kith, one word...Bruce!
They’re Three KISS Albums I didn’t Like. This is one of them. Great Review. I Agree with your song rating. The Album is Just Horrible.
Crazy Nights
Hot in the Shade
Sonic Boom 💥
I love this album. Still have my concert shirt.
Like several other Kiss studio efforts, Crazy Nights has improved with each listen for me! So many fun tracks to my ears! Reason To Live happens to be my top-favorite Kiss ballad.
Crazy Nights was my time I got into the band KISS , thankfully bought KISS and LOVE GUN cassettes shortly after
Basically, there are NO good Gene songs after the Creatures of the Night album until Revenge.
Just looking at that album gives me gas.
Crazy Nights is GREAT SHIT!❣🥳
I only like Crazy crazy Nights and "turn on the night". I never seek any of the other songs at all. I always thought if they ever remixed it; maybe if they replaced the keyboard with guitar it might be a little less sucky.
Good album for 1987 thanks bro, greetings from Spain
Thanks for listening
Ok Ralphael this album is #18 for me. So bottom of the barrel has and always will be Unmasked! For me Naked City is about as good as that album gets.
Crazy Nights not much better. The production kills it though songs like
Bang Bang You
My Way
When The Walls Come Down
🤮🤮🤮
Crazy Crazy Nights
No No No
Hell or High Water
Thief In The Night
are all pretty good mid/late 80’s rock. That suffer from the crappy 80’s production of Ron Nevison
Ozzy
Heart to name a few
Still fun review as always 🤘🏻
This review was awesome 😂
THANKS!
I love this album, sure its not my favorite but I still think its a great album
I ignore the lyrics of when your walls come down...makes it much more enjoyable
I know this album sucks but I still enjoy it. I have to lie to myself to enjoy it but I do enjoy it, and I understand completely why people hate it. I agree with you that Paul's songs are worse than Gene's.
11.When Your Walls Come Down
10. Bang Bang You
9. I'll Fight Hell To Hold You
8. No No No
7. Crazy Crazy Nights
6. No No No
5. My Way
4. Hell Or High Water
3. Reason To Live
2. Thief In The Night
1. Good Girl Gone Bad ( I love this song, I don't care what anybody says)
A kiss classic to me anyway it was the single crazy nights that got me into kiss🙂
Thank you for everything, Dr. Fukk. Life isn't being the best to me right now but I'm so glad I can come here and let Dr. Fukk make me laugh some. It means more than you'll ever know, brother
I hope things get better for you soon. Stay strong my friend!

I also like the start to No No No, however the lyrics are a bit rapey.
No Paulsetto 😁
I think that this album was simply a product of the times it was written and recorded in. Frig...at this period, even the Ramones were using glossy production and gated drums on their albums...

There’s one song I actually like off this album can’t remember what it is. Yes I own this. I hate myself lol
This review is fucking hilarious.... after Lick it up they get worse and worse
This isn’t my favorite KISS record but I certainly do not hate it. I do love hair metal. That includes Poison and Bon Jovi in their prime. On a more personal note “Reason To Live” got me through some of the hardest moments of my life. Just for that reason I could never really hate this album.

Love Reason to live and like Crazy, crazy nights. Dont know the whole album. PreferrKiss live albums.
Your hate has made you powerful.
When it came out I Hated. I can tolerate three song on it.When they took the make up off I had a hard time to like them.
The sound on that album is terrible.
I bought the cassette years later in a pawn shop. Now I have it on cd,but cheap
The album that made me stop listening to KISS. EDIT: I still listen to the 74-85 years of KISS
Gene’s wig was better for this album and tour
I hate this album and really really tried to like it but just never happened. So much other great music to listen to, why bother? I bought it on cassette because that's the only way I could listen to music at work at the time. I skipped the tour and all the rest except the first reunion tour.

I agree with you 110%
And this is why Brandvoldt is a tool.
Ralph, Generation swine, or crazy nights? I'll take swine as horrible as it is.
Generation swine
This album is on the bottom of kiss records go totally at the bottom
I hated this album and I hate Hot in the Shade. I hated most of everything they put out in the 80s save for a few songs here and there
Crazy Nights was a good album, now Asylum on the other hand is their worst album to me
I only listened to this album once... That was back when I was 14. Twelve years later, I still don't touch it. Definitely the worst KISS album.
Easily my least favorite Kiss album. Gene’s songs are decent….Paul’s are horrific
It's utter cr#p but Hot in the shade is utter utter crap. Same w Smashes trashes n hits .. monster wld end up being their worse imo
I never bought this one, even Pawl duthn't like thith...
Truth is i did buy the crathy nighth thingle.... for the B thide!!
This album sucks dogs for quarters..
I will pick Frank Sinatra's My Way over Kiss' My Way in one nano second.
This album is the worst the tour was terrible I saw them at the civic center in San Francisco the stage show was bad everything was bad accept anthrax opened and they were good
I think the worst one Is Hot In The Shade. That album SUCKS and has way too much tracks...
Happy KISS Wednesday Ralph proper hate this album terrible 👎
This whole album sucks. Its completely unlistenable.
bon jovi poison wanabe kiss is cringey
Awful album , that is all
It sucks!
How i would have shot this video,,,, INTRO,,, Doc says "ITS UTTER FUCKING SHIT",,,, OUTRO lol
I gave up on Kiss for quite some time. I know he is an excellent guitarist, but the Kulick era is terrible imho. Asylum, Hot in the Shade and Crazy Nights. Revenge is ok.
