I suggested to nikon a shift mode for the fn1 button. That way all buttons could do two functions
Or a long press mode. This way buttons, like playback or Disp, could still be used for their initial purpose, by long pressing them

I really like your videos, my only suggestion would be your colour grading or whatever is causing the very washed out image. More contrast and punchier colours would do wonders!
I see… it’s probably the editing software that desaturates while exporting the file..

Great Video! So I finally got my Smallrig Grip for my Zf and immediately got annoyed because it didn't fit. In the process of putting it on I had the battery door came open and came off the camera. Oh! Oh! 10 more minutes of swaring and attachingf the door back on and working properly I looked at the SmallRig package and found that they sent me the L-Bracket grip for the Zfc. Dilema now besides of ordering the right GRIP do I sent back the wrong sized grip or buy me another Zfc? Cheers!
Hahaha no I don’t think you should go for the ZFC! Just change the handgrip! And wait for the next gen crop sensor bodies from Nikon!

Does the camera overheats at 4K @ 30 fps, 10 bit 422 (or 420 if it does not have 422) if run for 125 minutes?
Haven’t done long term tests yet. But shot a lot of videos and no overheating so far. It’s does do 422.

Most initial reviewers mentioned 10 bit 420 and really wish it had 422, glad to know from you that it has 422 option..
@@FramesTMunfortunately the Hevc codec is limited to the long GOP in 4.2.0 too bad you can't adjust the inter parameters (bitrates, 4.2.0 or 4.2.2 and intra or long GOP)

Thank you for the video. How do I set the ZF to pre af, the XT 5 has an option in the menu. I find it important for street photography and can’t find it anywhere on this camera. Thank you.
Really helpful video. Thank you. The ZF is my first foray into digital; until now I have always used film (or phone). A lot to learn and a lot to remember, coupled with a new way of working with menus and sub-menus makes your video a killer, as it cuts to the important things that allow the user to focus more on photography and less on technology.

There is something missing here when clicking the i menu. I don’t see the portrait menu on mine. What I wanna know is how you set up the i menu to your liking, this is the part you skipped. Thanks

When I import the pictures to my Apple Photos via USB, Photos is importing the pictures on my SD card and also the pictures on my Micro SD card which I use only for backup. Is there a way to only import the pictures from the SD card? Thank you.
Is there a way to make the shutter button less sensitive? Often when I half-press it to take a photo, the camera takes a shot when I didn't want it to. Thank you.
Well, you should use back button autofocus instead of half pressing for focusing and then accidentally taking a picture
Just bought a Nikon Zf to enjoy my old time feeling of using Nikon FM2 film camera. It is truly very sad to see the minimalistic policy of Nikon Inc.,. Nikon did not bother to include a battery charger with the camera body, but just a battery unless the manufacturer forgot to insert it in my camera box.

Hi Frames - I had a chance to handle this camera at the camera store the other day. I really like it with the exception of the grip - I find the ergonomics to be difficult. That said, it did not have the Small Rig grip, which I think would be necessary for me. Other than that I think is is really great, and no doubt it is the best looking camera on the market for sure.

@FramesTM I can't find out how to do it. In menu D it only has continous low adjustment.

Can we customise the Display button (DISP) as "ISO button" & Movie Record button as "Cycle Autofocus Area" ?
I guess the back button can be set as Af area+af-on (3d tracking) & front button as Af area+af-on (single-point)

Jeet, everything you said is possible and except for cycle af area. That’s a new feature first introduced in Z8 and only in Z8 so far.
