sure, no story is 100% real, and now with ai, the verbal diarrhea and other nonsense added, the only thing you can say, it's based on a personal experience, or on a real story. How much real it's up to you to be honest.
@MrRight-MAGA What about the person who squealed to the Department of Dunces? They claimed they were bitten, which made the autopsies necessary. Were they actually bitten or just animal phobic?
So the mother squirrel went to search for food and when she came back, her home was gone and her babies too. "The mother was nowhere to be found" I'm 100% sure no one even searched for her, let's be serious, plus with all the noise people were making there she would have been scared to approach anyway. But I'm glad the baby squirrels were saved. It's sad no one even inspected the tree BEFORE cutting it down. I hope someday we'll care for and respect animals, because this planet is theirs too, not only ours.
The maternal instincts overrode normal predatory behaviour when she was nursing her kittens and Mera accepted the baby squirrels as her own. Love comes in all forms and a mother’s love knows no bounds. ❤😊
Ironic that just last week "authorities" burst into a man's home here in the USA and took his rescued squirrel (named Peanut) and a raccoon, prevented the man from going back into his own home, rifled his belongings, and prevented him from feeding his livestock until they left - and then they EUTHANIZED the squirrel and the raccoon. What a crazy world we live in!
So beautiful, I love cats and squirrels. In my 20's I had a roommate with 2 house trained rats. They had the run of the house, came when you called them, were potty trained to their cage and never went in the house. But the really cool thing about it was my cat accepted them. They would sleep together on the couch, play attack each other. I just couldn't believe it. It was very cool to see. Animals are such a blessing.
The Lord watches over them all, feeds them, cares for them, and ALLOWS us to SHARE in HIS JOY, HIS CREATURES. One of life's greatest blessings is the ability God gives us to care for HIS animals.
Hope you're not in New York state, you could be setting yourself up to being raided by The state Department of Environmental Conservation, and have the squirrels taken out.
we grew up 2 baby squirrels and fed them with toy doll milk bottles. They were awesome and climbed on our bodies and acted like pet dogs, just smaller. When we released them to the forest they came for about 1 year when we called them on the side of the forest...
By the way is a beautiful story. A message of kindness and love. Thanks to the workers, who took the little babies to shelter and people there who helped.
We use to raise rabbits and it was always a delicate time when we had to separate the baby rabbits from their mother. If not done in the correct way the mother would literally go crazy attacking whoever was near them especially humans, thinking their babies vanished. We always kept that in mind. So I feel sorry for Merka. I'm sure she misses her little tan babies. Great video. Thank you for making it. :)
What a beautiful story and I loved the lady reading the story, very calming voice. I feed squirrels every day in my backyard, so much fun to watch them. Thank you for sharing.
Fantastic job beautiful mummy cat Mirka. The more I learn about the behaviour of cats, I never cease to be amazed about the heart-warming actions they often take, like a mummy cat adopting newborn puppies and breast-fed them alongside her kittens, and countless inspiring and similar actions which include adopting and caring for newborn tiger cubs abandon by their mother. I just love these cats and the unexpected awe-inspiring acts of kindness that they often show which would put many human beings to shame. Live long and prosper Mirka.
Mother squirrel was out to look for food when the tree was cut, I am sure she was going to find her babies if they gave a time to get her babies to move to a new home. But they didn't, they called animal shelter. I hope those squirrels reconnected with their mother after they were released back to the outdoor trees!
@@PearlMagnolia: Just like GPS device that takes to your destination, mother squirrel was going pinpoint exactly where her babies were between the branches on the ground. or her mother was out for food and became food herself, eaten by a predator. The Wild is ruthless. Snakes, owls, critters like foxes and racoons... danger is all around
Something very similar happen with me about 40 years ago. My landlord cut down a tree and 4 baby squirrels fell out. I picked them up and brought them inside. I had at that time a grey MALE cat. I kept the squirrels in a box inside my bathroom behind a closed door. One day my phone rang while feeding the squirrels. I ran for the phone thinking I closed the door tightly. When I came back the door was ajar and inside the box my male cat was cleaning the baby squirrels. Not knowing what to feed them until almost too late, I lost three. When one squirrel was grown, the cat and squirrel were best friends. They would run and play outside. Any cat coming into the yard was chased off.
1:41 tell the story correct. they were not left behind, but some human came and destroyed their habitat. in fear of the yelling mashine and the falling home the mother had no way to return.
Mommy Squirrel… rest assured, breathe easy, don’t blame yourself for jumping off during the thunderous fall of your beloved home - your kids are safe, their eyes opened to Nanny Mom Cat, and are carrying Daddy Squirrel and your genes into the next generation… sleep well, live great, and have your next brood, and may one day, siblings greet, meet and smile ❤
To help any mother mammal, an egg and milk mixture, as a supplement, is pure gold. Feed the mother her normal feed, but during lactation, milk and egg is prime. If you are feeding pups directly, goat's milk is more nutritious for them.

It's a travesty to see an ancient oak tree cut down. "Because they posed a danger to visitors" is the reason authorities use to get rid of trees. I feel sorry for the mother who was likely off hunting for food. And for the tree that had been home to many creatures for so long..
I have found black or gray cats are usually more docile. My brothers and I raised a baby squirrel years ago. We released him and he returned, next time he got out somehow and we never found him.
i saw another video and squirrels bones will not be strong if they are raised on kitten milk. they need squirrel milk. so its good that the person gave them formula.
I grew up in a farm in South America. My mother used to place duck eggs in a hen's nest. When the ducks hatched and the mother hen walked with them near a small pond then to her horror her "chicken" would run to the water, the hen desperately calling them thinking they would drown.
I'm surprised that she didn't produce enough milk for the kittens and the squirrels. Kittens surely take a good bit more milk to feed than squirrels do, and a mother cat can have more than 10 kittens, and feed them all just fine. She didn't have nearly that many kittens, best I could tell.
If the guys that chop the tree down had enough patience they could have just put the babies at the base of that tree and waited for the mother to show up cuz I guarantee she had more than one nest and other squirrel friends that had Nest she could have brought them to squirrels are very sociable
I know a lot of you are concerned about this shelter being raided by animal control/Feds, but they are a shelter, and if registered as such in their state may be immune from that as the squirrels are not there in the intent to be a pet. They may not have wildlife sanctuaries where they are.
