- A classic clip of the manic and much-loved Rod Hull and Emu from the 1970s. Having made his name in the UK and Australia, in the mid-70s Rod took his feathered friend to Canada, where he became a star on a third separate continent, as a regular guest on the Hudson Brothers' Razzle Dazzle Show. These appearances are little-known outside North America and here is a really special one, as M*A*S*H star McLean Stevenson "hosts" a talk show with a difference, where the guests are animals - in this case, Emu of course, accompanied by his "trainer", Rod. RIP Rod Hull and Emu!
Emu isn't dead. The Australian government dropped a nuke on that thing when it escaped capture after Rod passed away, and the creature was barely fazed. It was last spotted off the coast of Hawaii, devouring megalodon sharks for fun.
I remember this when it appeared on the Hudson Brothers Razzel Dazzel Show. I laughed my head off then and I still do when I see this. Thanks for posting, brings back memories.
That was awesome, Rod & emu ganging up on Stevenson! Also kinda funny that they also went after Gary, just out of spite! I laughed so hard that tears came to my eyes!
