Nicely done Dean, beautiful vase.
Thanks Scott, and Thanks for Watching!!
I’ve been using the sia soft pads from Vince for years. Absolutely love them. A trick is when they get clogged, throw them in the pocket of your smock and put it in the washing machine. They come out good as new. Just don’t put them in the dryer lol.
Great tip! Thanks for Sharing!
Very nice Dean. Some great character in the wood. Thanks for sharing.

Wry nice hollow form. What is the wood? I am starting to like the antique oil finish. The lid finial is very nice. While hollowing how did you check your wall thickness as you turned? Thank you for another great video.
Chinese Tallow Tree they grow like weeds in texas, Wall thickness on this one was 1/8" and checked with the figure 8 callipers. Thanks for Watching!!!

You're welcome my friend it's well deserved you're awesome thank you buddy from Doug

Very nice work sir. What is the moisture level you look for being that you and I are right at the water. Moisture can become an issue.
I really don't take readings I normally pack them in shavings and put them in storage and forget them for way too long. This one I turned so thin that I decided to just finish it. Thanks for Watching!!!
Nicely shaped turning. What grind do you use on yout 5/8 bowl gouge ? I've been using the sand paper from Vinces Wonders for about 4 yrs and really like it.
The one in this video is a 55 degree bevel with swept back wings. Thanks for Watching!!!
My question is about the wood you used . I'm unable to orient the grain direction. My first thought was that it was a limb with grain running end to end? My experience, however, tells me that end grain isn't any fun. Any help you can give about the blank you started with will be greatly appreciated!
How did you go about sanding the inside of it?
Sand paper on the end of a stick.
