i love supporting smaller business but i've seen some on your links that charge $100+ dollars for items made in china and made out of elastane and viscose, which are horrible quality in the long run and awful for the environment... the effort is appreciated i bet but the price isn't justified given the used materials. many other small brands charge the same price for recylced materials, natural textiles and more, so i suggest always making sure what you're paying for! sometimes under the ruse of ''supporting small business'' we end up being overcharged for made in china, bad material pieces. loved this video though!! your style is so unique and timeless, thank you for being an inspiration
If the pieces that I mention aren't sustainable or made from good materials.. then I usually purchased for the design or fit alone. I always try to make sure that the materials are good but sometimes I love the design so much that I purchase solely for that, rarely, but I do. It's important to also note that when a lot of small brands start out, they don't always have the funds to start with sustainable or top of the line materials.. when their designs have enough support and when they're able to fund their business enough, they often then convert to better quality without having to change the prices. There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes of small brands that not a lot of people talk about. Of course, I always rather support sustainable or good materials & I totally see how some small brands are just as bad as larger, fast fashion companies but supporting innovative design or something that sits nicely on a curvier body is also important to me. I always try my best to link alternatives or encourage everyone to find similar options and take these videos as inspiration because like I always reiterate, not everyone has the same thought process, budget or priorities when it comes to fashion, which is totally understandable. ❤️❤️ Tysm for watching & commenting love!
