I haven't seen Shin Godzilla, but the original 1954 Godzilla is to date my favorite Godzilla film because of the rich themes it presents alongside the monster action. The American films have been more dumb monster action (which is fine and all because I'm a sucker for that type of stuff, especially when done in a true epic scale like King of the Monsters), but I really love the layers and themes the original Godzilla presented which made it more compelling than your typical monster film.
The day a Godzilla film earns 1st place in the box office through high quality storytelling, cinematography and visuals is bound to make those who looked down on it very salty
I love your presentations on commonly-seen themes and age-old concepts that come up in cinema. This video made me learn so much about the origin of the monster. I never considered he could be violent due to the animal's sadness of what he had become. I never realized it also represented man's influence on nature. It brings up the sad message: that we solve violence with violence, even if this violence ironically started DUE to human's influence. And we do this instead of trying to learn more and having a non-violent plan.

I love when you sim up my videos. And it’s true. I am as well to be blamed because I also fall into that mindset of resolving things with aggression
