Most of the time when an artist is featured it's just their vocals, not their style of music, that's added. This was a perfect mix of Starset and Breaking Benjamin. I heard both styles of music in this, it wasn't just a Starset song. An absolute masterpiece in arrangement, execution, and visuals.

This song was originally made by one of my favourite bands, Downplay, which disbanded and later the singer founded a new band named Starset. It was one of my favourite songs from their repertoire, so hearing it again even better than before hits in a very special way.
I didn't think this collab could be possible, I mean what are the chances that 2 of your absolute favorite groups would do a song together? I'm speechless, such a good song on top of all that.
@@cxllen9314 That's partly because it's a cover of a song from their previous band, Downplay- just like Dark On Me. I wonder if we'll get a MNQN cover in the future too!
Wow. This song is so dynamic. I love how both leads match perfect harmony with the other. Ben is very good at taking the under tone for collaborations. This song hits so hard! You van hear very much both styles of music especially the guitars.
Is this a fever dream?? Starset collabing with Breaking Benjamin is one of those things where you say "man that would be amazing if they did that", but you don't actually expect it to happen. Yet here it is; more epic than even imagined. Now it leaves me wondering... Where do I go from here; is this the pinnacle?
I absolutely love how Breaking Ben has been supporting Starset from the very beginning. I didn't know until I saw Starset, Seether and Breaking Ben in concert at the Fort Wayne Coliseum, and he talked about how he got to listen to songs from Starset before they were even released and his reaction was priceless. I won't ruin it for anyone, go find a video from one of their concers where Ben was introducing Starset. Totally awesome collab!

I discovered Starset because I attended a Breaking Benjamin concert 7-8 years ago, and Starset was one of the openers. It's great to see them collaborating all these years later!
2:01 starts the best part, especially the one with violin a few seconds later. This is just golden! Found this song on Instagram ad, honestly, the best ad so far 😌💙
I discovered Starset through a Breaking Benjamin concert in 2016, to see them collaborating on a song, a downplay one at that, has been nothing but a dream come true.
I had the pleasure of getting a VIP ticket to see Breaking Benjamin, Seether, Starset, and Lacey Sturm live in Cincinnati on May 11th and it was an awesome experience. The best performances were when they performed songs together. Breaking Benjamin performed Breath with Dustin Bates, Diary of Jane with Shaun Morgan, and, of course, Dear Agony with Lacey Sturm. Seether had Lacey Sturm while they were on stage performing one of her songs, and Lacey Sturm even had Starset's stunning violinists perform with her. It was great to hear these two amazing bands come together in a live performance, and it's even better to hear them together in a studio performance with a new song.
@@deathnwar4u I live in Dry Ridge, KY, about 45 minutes south of you. Well worth the drive. I got lucky and was recommended an article promoting the tour three months prior to the event and my jaw dropped seeing that lineup. I was even more surprised that they played in Cincinnati of all places. They only toured to like 13 cities in the east. I had to go. My first and probably last concert as I don't think I'll ever see a lineup that legendary ever again. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to rub it in or anything. I hope they do tour again so you get a chance to see them.
@@ryanolson2308 They were great, as expected. I only wished they had played more songs off of Ember. Surprisingly, for a 90 minute performance, they only played one song off that album.
For me, this song came at a perfect time in my life. For years I’ve sought out abusive relationships, but now it’s time for me to take care of myself. The sky won’t change unless I make it change or escape the storm, on my own. I’m not going searching for storms anymore, and I’m going to become whole on my own. I don’t need someone else to make me whole. I don’t need a storm to make me whole.
Guys, this song kicks SO much ass. My two favorite rock bands collaborating like this will always be something I support, and this is no exception. I could listen to a whole album of collabs from these two bands, truly spectacular!
Es una buena canción, pero lo que no me gustó fue que la voz de Benjamin Burnley (breaking Benjamin) la hayan cambiado, ni de chiste esa es sus voz. Suena mejor sin modificar
The very second 0:12 hit i said to myself YES this is EXACTLY what I expected a Starset/BB crossover to sound like. it sounds so much like BOTH of them IM IN LOVE 😭😭😭

Been waiting for Starset to collaborate with someone for a long time, this is perfect! Been following the band since they started and I love where it's going!!
Starset has collaborated with someone before this! It was in a song called "Enough" by Ra. Dustin lent some of his vocals to the song. (Also, Enough was originally supposed to be on divisions, but I believe Dustin sold it to Ra)
@@Vincent_007 Nah bro, not per definition. Remixed, remastered, covered and a few lyrics changed makes way for a completely new experience. It is not a release.
This was something I could've never imagined happening, and now that it did, I can't think of anything else. Two of my favorite bands making a masterpiece together. What a song!
It's really interesting to see how music evolves. When I was younger, Breaking Benjamin was all about the journey we take through pain, love, and life. And now, with songs like this, it's like, we grew up. We grew from our pain. We made a decision that this isn't where we are going to stay. It really resonates with my life and the experiences I've had. Being stuck, so cold, and then deciding we aren't going to run towards the eye of the tornado, we are gonna walk through it instead of staying in the calm within the storm. It's beautiful.
You wrote a lot in the diary ofJane. Took the breath right out of me. Nah but fr dude I get it I was just saying this the other say. Its a perpetual feedback where we grow, and so our music grows with us. Some may think I'm talking about maturity, but no it's evolution. It's so interesting to see what it becomes as our perspectives shift and make room for more. But we will never capture it all and that's a shame.
These two bands have something extremely special together. I hope they're both having fun, love each other, love music and continue to collaborate as long as time allows them to.,
My first concert that I paid for in 2016 I came in 9 hours early Starset and Breaking Benjamin best concert ever, unforgettable. After that I went to 4 other Breaking Benjamin concerts I met Ben at the SF concert with Red he is so awesome and humble he even let me take a picture with him my life long forever band! I will play their music at my wedding!
I've been telling my friends for years that a Collab between starset and breaking Benjamin would be amazing and I was absolutely correct. This is phenomenal.
I have loved both of your groups for your unique styles and sound for several years. This is the Collab I didn't know I needed and was better than I ever imagined! You can clearly hear both styles featured in parts and also the perfect blend of them together in others. Similarly, the vocal qualities of the singers in the vocals are perfectly showcased in some parts and seamlessly blend in others. Perfection you guys. AMAZING JOB TO EVERYONE PARTICIPATING!
They actually didn't make this song! It's a cover of Downplay's track off their 2011 "Beyond the machine" album. None the less, they did a great job on the cover!
Years and years ago when "carnivore" came on pandora, I thought "wow the new breaking Benjamin stuff is great!" To find it was starset. The BB influence is strong in this track, but it's done amazingly. And you can easily hear the influence of BB in starsets stuff. Im so glad they did this. Starset has become one of my top 5 picks, makes me realize how old i am too that BB was number 1 for me 15 years ago
Aside from an incredible sound and a video to match, lyrically this song is amazing. For me it's like someone that can see the direction in which the world is heading, and at times it can feel overwhelming, and the situation helpless. At times it's difficult to just live life when they are so awake to the turmoil that lies ahead. They have lived this way for a long time. They then reach a turning point where they refuse to continue living angry and anxious about that which they can't change, instead choosing to live a life of faith in something bigger. A true anthem of the awakened or anyone dealing with anything that seems insurmountable.
You said it man, Faith. So important to keep at the forefront of all else and in clear view. It's too often confused with hope, which in small doses can be healthy. But once those lines blur until they mesh into a carefree optimism there's no center to balance yourself onto, you lose control, the further you slip the more disoriented you become, the more you try to fill false voids and gain control over things you can't and before you know it you're left with nothing to lean on but fear. I learned that one the hard way more times that I'd like to admit, likely will again
This song is by far the best Starset song recently. Its got that classic transmissions/Vessels style that i feel was missing from the newer albums. not to say the newer albums are bad, far from it. I just really missed the scifi style the first 2 albums gave and this brings it back in such an amazing way!
100% agree!!! The sound from Transmission was just absolute perfection and this would fit right in with the rest of the songs from that Album. I missed this sound. Super hyped for more
I think the original had that feeling more, like a very My Demons vibe, but this remake manages to keep that vibe while COMBINING it with their current more heavy and distorted style. It's like their past and their present meeting and colliding perfectly in this
No one can break Ben, rock on, still hitting hard and now collabing with starset. This is such an amazing blend of the two bands, they understood the assignment.

I didn’t know that, but awesome, love that scene back then from Pamaj’s videos if you know them. Downplay, down In ashes, cartel
Didn't know any of that. Thanks for the fan research!
Downplay version: ruclips.net/video/GHsVJlCoSpM/видео.html
This song was originally made by one of my favourite bands, Downplay, which disbanded and later the singer founded a new band named Starset.
It was one of my favourite songs from their repertoire, so hearing it again even better than before hits in a very special way.
I love downplay
I didn't know that history. I loved Downplay in my youth.
I didn't think this collab could be possible, I mean what are the chances that 2 of your absolute favorite groups would do a song together? I'm speechless, such a good song on top of all that.
It's impossible to hate a Starset song. Every single one of Starset's songs never disappointed me.
This song is outstanding good even for Starset standards
@@cxllen9314 That's partly because it's a cover of a song from their previous band, Downplay- just like Dark On Me.
I wonder if we'll get a MNQN cover in the future too!
Not true. Horizon is meh.
@@longdashes excuse me??
@@longdashes honestly agreed
IVE BEEN WANTING A COLLAB WITH THESE 2 BANDS FOR SO LONG, FINALLY!
All we need now is the holy trinity super band: Starset, Breaking Benjamin, and RED.
We're so close.
@@ScamwatchDallin I thought I was the only one! I just saw Red and Starset on tour together, my third time seeing both. It was AMAZING
@@ScamwatchDallin I never considred this but yes!!
@@jennyjohnson4994 I envy you. They came to my town but I was too busy to see the show. That sounds like an amazing set.
BB is the best 🤘 But you have to hear “ Whispering Wolf “ by SLT … right away 🎧🐺🎧!!! U R Missing Out !!! !!! !!!
When we see Breaking Benjamin we literally know that is going to be hella marvelous.
I've been listening to Starset since high school and now I'm about to turn 24. It's been amazing seeing their development.
The best metal is never played on the radio.
True
I actually found this song on the radio
Jam88.3 - this is where i first heard this song on radio channel
i found this on the radio Q106 a rock station here in MIchigan when i was working at a gas station last year
1:18 is absolute madness when Ben's voice suddenly carries over the last line.
Like an elder brother unleashing it's power to support it's sibling.
Ah, that's been my favourite part of this song, how well their voices carry together. Especially between 0:40 - 0:55
@@thejack666 the first stanza and refrain is full on starset and the second full on breaking benjamin ... they display that with the band icons in the lower left corner

Legendary Ben 🖤😎
It's everything I hoped it would be and more!!!! Downplay's version is still amazing but the additions to the instrumentals and Ben really make this hit so much harder
That was incredible!!! Breaking Benjamin and Starset, the world needs more
I had the pleasure of getting a VIP ticket to see Breaking Benjamin, Seether, Starset, and Lacey Sturm live in Cincinnati on May 11th and it was an awesome experience.
That's legendary. I can't believe I missed this. Especially since I live in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Very jealous. How was Breaking Benjamin live?
@@ryanolson2308 They were great, as expected. I only wished they had played more songs off of Ember. Surprisingly, for a 90 minute performance, they only played one song off that album.
Saw them a few days later in Birmingham,AL. It was pretty awesome. They pretty much stuck to the classics
Has To Be The Best Collab Ever, Band's Like This Should Come Together To Create Greatness.
I started crying as soon as I heard Ben singing, he sang my favorite verse out of the whole song that made me so happy!
Guys, this song kicks SO much ass. My two favorite rock bands collaborating like this will always be something I support, and this is no exception. I could listen to a whole album of collabs from these two bands, truly spectacular!
3:14, the way "Become whole again" is sung is sooooooooo good
The moment we've been all waiting for

starset never disappoints, the collaboration was perfect and the song just beautiful, thanks for giving us a new song ❤️❤️🇲🇽
Not a new song, just a really good cover of an oldie but a goodie! Check out the original by Downplay if you haven't already!
It did disappoint me
@@Bizartspirit too bad, you're probly not even a starset fan if you don't like this so you have no reason to comment.
Breaking Benjamin and starset is a combination I never knew I needed
my grandfather died a few weeks ago, and this song is 1 of 3 that has been helping me cope and deal with it all!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!! MUCH LOVE FROM THE UK
I didn't even realize when it switched to Ben at first! Their voices just fit perfectly to each other!
Breaking benjamin makes literally Heavenly music! Their literal imagery is heavenly ! Starset and Breaking Benjamin are just absolutely incredible piece of art 🥂🖤
1:56 I am obsessed with the way Ben growls this part.
Ben sounded so good here!
The melodies between Him and Dustin Are just amazing.
Amazing song overall! Time to put it on repeat-
Been waiting for Starset to collaborate with someone for a long time, this is perfect!
@@GoldfaceOfficial Oh, I didn't know that, thanks!

Its an old song

This song gives me so much hope. I love Breaking Benjamin and Starset. Perfect music and lyrics.
*Ethereal* is the way I describe Starset's music, something about it just feels like it's from another dimension. (ties perfectly into the lore)
honestly, accurate statement, like really accurate.
Interstellar and Twilight Zone/Black Mirror made Manifest!

3:05 The best drop of the history
Years and years ago when "carnivore" came on pandora, I thought "wow the new breaking Benjamin stuff is great!" To find it was starset. The BB influence is strong in this track, but it's done amazingly. And you can easily hear the influence of BB in starsets stuff. Im so glad they did this. Starset has become one of my top 5 picks, makes me realize how old i am too that BB was number 1 for me 15 years ago
Every day STARSET releases a new song it automatically becomes an AWESOME DAY

How have i never seen this? Breaking Ben is my favorite band of all time, so many bangers they're impeccable
The amount of times I’ve listened to this over the past 24 hours. Truly a great collaboration between two of my favorite bands. Keep it up guys!
Coolest part is that it’s not even a new song! Dustin had this one in his back pocket for years with his old band, Downplay! Best remake ever.
You ever hear the original version?
better than a lot of bb ember songs to
100% agree!!!
Every time I think that Starset cannot possibly do anything to make me an even bigger fan, they go and do something like this.
