Thanks Captain, Looks to be great design with versatility. We are having similar winter weather. Cold in single digits at night and teens to low twenties during the day. Lots of snow events. The big thing that prevents me from flying is how much wind we have been having. I can take the cold, but wind in the 18 to 30 mph range is brutal for me and the drone. I have concern for cold as it makes the plastic drones and props more brittle. Thanks for braving the cold and showing us the Egg.
I had a first gen poweregg and only few it a few times before the communication board was fried, however the support team was more then willing to work with me to get it fixed and was quick. I have no regrets buying from powervision for my first drone.
@@dogstar7 yea power-vision customer service is good .. just like autel......ii was maybe the 1st to have the big power egg drone and i felt like a tester..because they gave me their cell numbers along with the support number....so when things didn't work they told me to call them so they can fix the issue...man it had some problems at 1st ... such as you could not cancel return to home....etc etc.... and they would call me back telling me to try it now etc etc and send me updates ... that was early 2017.....still love how it flies through the air...but hate the transmission signal .. to choppy

The video I thought was great even when shutting garage door, and not forgotten how the Tracking, slow motion and audio recording did very well! I remember the first time u put up video of the 1st mega sized old version I could not figure out why it didn't get more good press. Because what seems to be ,now a good hand held video recording system that legs can be quickly add make full fledged camera Drone! If the water cover equals what I have so far seem plus anther added additional pontoon set up,I mean how many times in a Review to date can all this be said! It makes me think back not to long ago when "Tracking on these things never work rite" was as common and that unreal snow in your parts ! Sometimes I believe people get hung up on DJI,ALTEL,PARROT and maybe a couple more BANDS ,GREAT PRODUCT such as this are looked over,which is probably good for me with price drop,but bad for a company with a really solid Product, one of those 2 egg are in my mind with Hope's I will find one and some one will look at it and sell it because of the novel shape for a novelty price ! Way to battle the elements! This egg is a keeper as far as I can see. I’m liking the versatility and the fit and finish. Put the original to shame in a good way. Seems like they listened and also learned a lot. I like that in a company. I’m so glad you didn’t make us wait till good weather. I was also really impressed with the fact that the egg performed so well in such obviously brutal temperature and conditions. A true double yolker!
As a proud owner of the original Egg I wouldn’t necessarily say that they put it to shame with the Gen 2. It’s just a very different product. The original is a total novelty, along with flying spectacularly well considering its immense heft! 😂 Its fit and finish are also quite amazing considering the current price tag at under 400 bucks. This new one definitely won’t draw the kinds of crowds that its big daddy draws, but the versatility is seriously cool. I NEED this new Son Of Egg to sit alongside my original. 😬

I did see the housing and floats... so cool. At the demo booth they were flying it under a waterfall! It wasn’t Niagara Falls but it was amazing none the less. Innovative and functional!! I like when something is not only a good idea but a game changer as well.
Much more impressed with PowerEgg-X than expected. Seems like the perfect vacation vlog package for the dedicated enthusiast. Clicks off all the latest obstacle avoidance and tracking functions as well as what has become the standard menu of programed flight modes ...in an intuitively functional and aesthetically delightful design package. If this drone gets promoted in the Big Box Electronics Chains it could be, along with Mavic Mini, one of the great drones of the summer of 2020

Darn you for having a semi clean and organized garage. I keep telling myself someday, someday. I have used my Parrot Anafi a couple times to video tape things while holding in my hand. Blades not spinning of course. lol I do like the concept of flying it, using it as a video camera with all those other features. Between this and Autel EVO II with interchangeable cameras drones are going in all new directions. Very cool.

I think this is the nicest drone you've ever reviewed - plus the price is pretty amazing. Then I took a look at the "Wizard" option and that housing is incredible. Thanks for this review, seems to be a good choice for us living in the cold! I have 2 suggestions: 1. With all those regulations it would be great to get information and talk about travelling with a drone and the importance about previous review of the local rules. 2. Just quickly mention the weight of the drone would be a valuable info. Particular in this case, as this drone is designed for travel.

I feel like this drone will be super popular with anyone that’s ever bought a super expensive drone and had it emergency land or run out of batteries and land in the water. Get the bubble case and the landing water accessory and that will be a thing of the past. Would be even cooler just flying it around out on the ocean or lake when fishing. Definitely think it might be a game changer and other companies will try to copy that feature.
This new PowerEgg-X seems much more polished than the old PowerEgg, and the ability to use it as a handheld stabilized camera is definitely a big plus. Although it's not a "smart" drone, as many people talk about smart drones like Skydio nowadays, the PowerEgg-X does have a very good price at $899.

I have no idea how or why people live in such cold places. But the drone video looks really nice with the white snow. It would be interesting to see how well the tracking works in summer because with the white snow makes a really good contrast with the person it is following

What? ... such technology, that is the right egg surprise and the multi functional device also in extreme conditions of weather and even waterproof. Uhh cold It is, - 13, -17 ° C. I went out on the weekend, it was minus 3 which is pretty cold in the English west country. I lasted 30 mins because my fingers were actually hurting even with gloves. I take my hat off to you, indoors in the warm of course. Great review looks like a very user friendly drone.

Amazing video - thanks for your bravery. Amazing product too. I find it very hard to believe that a company can develop all this on their own. Think about the level of technology required in all its aspects. Either DJI is heavily involved, or there is a entire ecosystem in China where a company can easily get customized state of the art components to assemble into something new to sell.
Very Compact and I do believe has a waterproof case to use in wet weather as a drone. Camera is up to par and I like the 60fps in 4k. I like its versatility ! Great Review Captain!
I say good luck trying to kill our amazing hobby! It will only be pushed underground and the diy/homebuilt scene will explode even more than it already has. Drones are here to stay and we all need to stand up for our right to use the air in a safe manner.

I like this drones' style and functions. Why am I thinking of Eve in the Wall-E movie??... I'm interested to know how it handles wind and how it's contacts wear after many times inserting the motor arms and their removal. Another great review considering how cold it was. Edge 1664 Autel should start releasing the EVO 2 to consumers by early February
So let me get this straight. In order to record in slow motion. You have to set to 120 fps. ( still learning. ).
Correct, then what the drone does is takes the 120 frames per second and places it in a 30 frames per second video, so everything appears 4X slow.

I think the company is going to release a waterproof shell for it. That would be a first.
I asked them for the shell and they did say they would send me one.

Recording audio via your viewing device helps a ton with syncing if your using more than one camera's at the same time.That's a big plus for me

Amazing product too. I find it very hard to believe that a company can develop all this on their own. Think about the level of technology required in all its aspects. Either DJI is heavily involved, or there is a entire ecosystem in China where a company can easily get customized state of the art components to assemble into something new to sell.

that gimbal looks almost like the original DJI Mavic Pro!
Very Compact and I do believe has a waterproof case to use in wet weather as a drone. Camera is up to par and I like the 60fps in 4k. I like its versatility !

I say good luck trying to kill our amazing hobby! It will only be pushed underground and the diy/homebuilt scene will explode even more than it already has. Drones are here to stay and we all need to stand up for our right to use the air in a safe manner.
