Poor furby! He flicked, smacked, and shook the thing. So mean to it and clearly didn’t understand how to use it correctly. I hope he resold it to a new loving owner.
Mine still works and I'm 32. There is a sensor if you squeeze it within their hair and on its tail. To make it sleep cover the sensor on its forehead. You remind me of Sid from Toy Story.... mean to their toys! Be gentle for goodness sake!

@@IHavRabies no they absolutely aren't lol. furbies are worth 30-40 usd new in box and 20 usd out of box. some are priced insanely high because people are stuck up and see that they sell for that much.
I remember in the 90s there was an electronic pikachu that would talk and its cheeks would light up it would be cool if u found one of those

I never thought Furbies are creepy! I think they’re really cute and am finally getting a 1998 one! Before I just had a 2012, Boom and two Connects.

Your Furby has MSA, also known as "Me Sleep Again" or "Kah Way-Loh Koh-Koh" as your fresh out the box Furby kept saying when it woke up. It's a bug pressent in a lot of 1999 Furbies that makes them continuously go to sleep inmediately after waking up, sadly there is no know cure for it. But it is possible to temporarily be able to wake them up, although it depends on severity.

This was a great laugh. I had one of these as a kid too, the Christmas one. My friend had a black and white one that we used to joke about, we said it was possessed as it would just start up randomly.

I absolutely love the new Furbies! I know lots of people are nitpicking about them because they’re not the same as the old ones, but I feel like everyone should move on. They are really cool and so much fun, and not everything has to be the same. I love the eyes and the feel of the lashes, and they’re so soft. I also love that you can make necklaces for them and it’s easy to turn them off. Also, I don’t have a lot of toy animals where they actually speak a lot of English, so this is cute. The idea that they can speak so much English and talk to you like a real friend is so much fun! you really should get one!

I would suggest not hitting on the back because it’s old and if it keeps falling asleep it is because it thinks your not giving it any attention don’t be to rough it’s a rare one so it’s worth 100 also check for corrosion if it falls asleep
I have a tip for collecting these items…….don’t get very cheap ones because it won’t work

I got my own 1998 one in it's original box too, I still have it with me and it still works except the speaker
I bought these things for my kids when they were young, fun to start BUT THEY DROVE YOU CRAZY, WOULD TALK TO EACH OTHER, I WANTED TO KILL MYSELF, they would just start chatting out of the blue, scare the kids to death in the middle of the night.....
They were so cute I never found them creepy
