lis dis : gets list of disks
sel dis (number of disk you want to select)Eg; sel dis 1 : Selects disk

Ahh Yeah... Pretty much what I had to do in order to delete one and join the other two. Now you mentioned, "Writing commands." If you don't mind me asking, is that your field? or is that part of your repertoire? As the cool daddy/hubby, that you are lol
Nope, not my field, but I started learning ms dos on a 383 computer, so I got quite used to it for a while. Also learned some programming back in the day, so that helps with troubleshooting sometimes.
@@UltimateDIY Ahh Okay. Well at least that makes you a great, "Renaissance Man."
I only have 1 disk and I want to know how many I can delete. Which should I delete?
150MB Healthy (EFI System Partition)
- Where all my main files are -
990MB Healthy (Recovery Partition)
15.3GB Healthy (Recovery Partition)
1.36GB Healthy (Recovery Partition)
Should I just delete the last 3?
I would not delete any of them.
First one is used to start your pc. The last 3 are used in case you want to do a factory restore.
Is factory restore when you want to completely erase everything from the device? What happens if you already deleted them? I still haven't done anything with them. But is it possible to do at least the 15BG one?
Factory restore is used when your operating system (Windows) is not working anymore and you want to recover your laptop to the state it was in when you bought it.
If you delete those partitions factory restore is no longer working and you need to reinstall Windows yourself.
Mannn u funny
Thanks 🤭
THANK YOU SO MUCH
Welcome!
Thanks❤
Welcome!
Great Stuff ! Very helpfull and it worked as well . Thanks Alot
Welcome!
Thanks
Welcome!
It doesn't make sense as an administrator, though. MS is overreacting here and there sometimes.
Yup, I agree.
Don't call yourself a moron, your name is lifesaver.
🤭👍🏻
Thanks a lot.
Welcome!
You're a legend. Thanks

Doesn’t work in windows 11
The laptop in the video is running Windows 11.
you my friend are a hero, thank you so much !!!!!!!!
Welcome!
thank you were helpful :)
Welcome!
@@UltimateDIY after I watched this I watched a video on how to add it back to the end of the drive
thanx mate it worked .
Welcome!
a lot easier to go through POWER SHELL as an ADMIN do the Diskpart list disk sel disk# then type clean and it will full wipe it and your done just reinitilize it and set a drive letter
Many people don't know how to use power shell. I could do the same in ms dos, but that does not mean it's easyer for everybody.
i can't extend the volume 😢
I'm sucseded to delete the efi & recovery partition on my external hard disk, but when i try to extend the main part, it say will turn it to dynamic etc, but when i select ok it say the system is not allowed
Really hard to guess. I would use a dedicated partition manager like mini tool partition wizzard.
thanks very much for simple and easy way!
Welcome!
yeahh !!! thats all , THANK YOU BROODA !!
Welcome!
Hyy bro mistakenly deleted "healthy (recovery partition)" Please help me to how to create that again help me please..
Hi. I don't know how you could solve this without reinstalling Windows. If your pc is still booting up, just ignore the missing partition, but keep in mind that recovery is not available in case of problems.
Thanks a lot for the amazing video. It helped me very much.
Welcome!
you are not a moron, you are a genius and kind. thank you

Dont delete recovery partition drive this will GO END TO AN ERA on windows boot
This was a secondary drive, that has no use for such a partition.
Actually it doesn't end Ur windows boot but will be innacsessable to Windows RE and factory settings
I have no clue what you are talking about. This was a secondary drive added to this sistem. The partitions on this drive have nothing to do with Windows boot drive.
Yes, don't go deleting partitions on you primary drive, but if you add a drive that has noting to do with booting.
it works
Great 👍🏻
Thank you so much
Any time
thank you very much night mare to get rid of that partition!
Welcome!
You are amazing!!!
😆👍🏻
very good, thx for help
Welcome!
Great !
Glad my video helps ✌🏼
This is weird.. I had to do this like a few days ago as well.. It was from my external 2 TB hard drive. So I had to search and use the Dos Prompt. but okay.. Only 10 seconds into the video.... Let me go back and watch the whole thing lol
It's quite annoying to resort to the dos prompt even in 2021...
@@UltimateDIY Exactly... Literally a month a way from 2022.. And still have "Windows" problems..
I do not want to delete the hidden partition but they are somehow using drive letters I want does anyone know how I can change these hidden partitions to use another drive letter? For some reason my system is using drive E and F that I need to have for my external drives.
Right clicking on the partition, here in drive management, does not show "Change drive letter" in the menu?
@@UltimateDIY I was able to get these drive letters removed with no issues using diskpart
Ok, great 👍🏻
Thanks a lot bro, you're not an idiot 😂😂😂 you're a great man
Welcome and thanks!
Thanks a lot buddy!
No problem!
@@UltimateDIYI have Windows 10 but it worked too!
Great 👍🏻
Bro you are a genius! It worked like a charm love u bro
Great ✌🏼
i use delete partition override or even clean and clean all and it sais its successful but they just reappear afterwards
Really hard to guess without seing myself.
@@UltimateDIY my pc crashed after my monitor disconnected (connected to hdmi at the back) keyboard been disconnecting too but when i try boot it sais error with c drive and loops trying to fix it - pc was working completely fine before it crashed
Sadly, you might have a HDD failure. Or maybe a bad contact somewhere that is causing data coreuption.
@@UltimateDIY i did chkdsk c: /r and got two unspecified errors -(726166696c652e63 1a8) and (6e74667363686b2e 1798) sorry for the inconvenience i just can’t find a way to fix this problem at all and find you reliable
Extraordinary skills bro
Thanks!
THANKU
Welcome!
thank you soo much, that partition has been sitting there for days and i wanted to delete it thank you
