Same boat did you create recovery partition later after converting gpt
Even 2 years later this video is extremely helpful and exactly what I needed. I appreciate you being straightforward with this walkthrough and I look forward to browsing the rest of your channel. Thank you!
Glad it helped!
Exactly what I needed and straight to the point, no BS. You sir did a fine job with this tutorial.
Thanks for watching.
Thank you so much for this video. I was struggling because I was unaware of the "delete partition override" command and could not get rid of a few partitions. Great video! Concise, great audio, no annoying background music, easy English for an American to understand. 👍
You are welcome! Thanks for watching.
Erik Rogel : my thoughts exactly. I have just watched about 12 different videos that failed to concisely explain this process. Prof McMillen's explanation finally got it thru my thick skull. Thumbs up!
Glad it helped. Thanks for watching.
Thanks you so much. Your explanation was simple and easy to understand with no nonsense talk. The video and audio was clear. 🙂🙏👍
Happy to help!
This is the ONLY video that helped me troubleshoot "deleting extra partitions" and getting access to "extend volume" to get all my space back on one drive finally. Can't thank you enough!!!
Great to hear!
You absolute STAR! Honestly. So simple. No technical support could help, but you did it instantly! SO GRATEFUL :)
Glad I could help!

Thank you! Exactly what I was looking for. This information was so hard to find on the rest of the internet.
You're welcome!
You are so helpful, i've literally gone to 100 different videos and websites trying to figure out how to do this, youre the best dude!!!
You're very welcome!
Very simple and understandable for an old semi Geek who does not work in CMD PROMPT too often. Thank you was able to remove Factory Installed partitions that were useless because they had Windows 10 on it and was using 18GB of space between them. I already upgraded to Windows 11 and will now create a recovery Image to use with my Recovery USB Drive. I now have full access to my entire C Drive and there is only the small 250MB UEFI recovery partition created by Windows 11 on it.
Glad you got the extra space and thanks for watching.
Straight to the point. Exactly what I needed. Thank you sir.
Glad I could assist.

Thanks man, very useful, straight forward and informative!
Great to hear!
Thank you so much !!! just cloned my drive from my old PC onto new PC ( OS and some programs ) only when i looked i was only seeing 465gb instead of 931 usable, found the problem, couldn't fix it because couldn't extent the drive due to recovery partition being in between.
Found your video, watched it, wrote down command prompts and it worked perfectly !
Now i consolidated everything and drive is not split up.
Glad it helped and thanks for watching.
@@techpub Welcome ! I Subscribed just for that, I would Subscribe a 2nd time if possible just for the fact i saw in the comments you still reply to people on a 3 year old video 👍👍.

Glad I could help
Thanks for not spending 5 minutes waffling or trying to talk me out of it! Cheers dude!
Glad to help.
Thank you SO MUCH! It took me over 1 hour to find your video and all the other RUclipsrs or website admins just recommended their own stupid software (which didn't even help me in most cases!)... After I watched your video I finally deleted the Healthy Recovery Partition and now I have about 200 GB of space more on my C drive!
That's great! Thanks for watching.
thanks a ton. I have a 10TB external drive that I had cloned my 1TB boot drive too. I decided I didn't want it on there anymore and was able to delete the 1TB partition but that stupid recovery partition was in between that partition and the other 9TB partition and for the life of me I couldn't figure out how to extend it so they would join. By following your tutorial it did the trick now i have my full 10TB for storage instead of a 1TB and 9TB, lol.
Glad it helped!
Thank you kindly for this video tutorial 😊 The video was very helpful and you walking us through it was so easy to understand. ❤

I just upgraded a 512 ssd to a 1TB ssd; after the installation and the the system image install; all was fine, but the new space was not available from the drive, all I found online was cloning and cloning software for the fix; it took awhile, but I was more then pleased to find your; instruction. Thank you so much. I am having a hell of a time trying to clone my SATA M.2 SSD to my new NVMe drive. I can get it to clone using Macrium Reflect, but my computer won't boot from that drive. Any suggestions?

THANK YOU! I recently bought a new laptop and it had a M.2 256GB SSD(which is practically 238GB usable) and it had four chunks of healthy recovery partitions (14GB, 1.38GB, 990MB) which didn't seem to be delete-able. Luckily i found your video and it saved my life!!!! i hope deleting this partitions wont cause any harm? THANKS!!!
Excellent! No harm should come to your computer.
Excellent tutorial! Thanks for uploading!
Glad it helped. Thanks for watching.
I know this might be a stupid question, but as I am not tech savvy , I was wondering, I have a 244 MB primary partition and a 223 GB primary partition. I checked and all I have on the 244 is 33 MB used the rest is free. My 223 Gb is where everything is stored. Can I delete the 244 mb and merge it with the main?
Yes, but always do a full backup prior to doing so.
Finally I managed to delete unwanted partition, TQ so much
Awesome!
Great job, nice video. Thanks!
Glad you liked it!
Excellent tutorial! Thanks so much!
You're very welcome!
SR, You have all of my respect! thank you !
You are very welcome
This is my first comment ever and all i can say is you saved me hours of work, thank you
Glad I could help!
Does this work on a dell i have 5 partitions on my C drive, 500 MB EFI system partition, OS (C) 917.8 9GB, 604 MB recovery partition, 11.35 GB recovery partition, 1.07 MB recovery partition. One of the recovery is the factory dell if I reset pc back to factory. I not need it as its old. One of my other Win 10 machine has a System Reserved 549 MB but Dell not have that or my HP.
Just make sure you have a good backup first but it should work fine.
Thank you for the video, just what I needed after removing dual boot Linux from my machine!
Thanks for watching!
what can i do if C: is in the middle? between 2 other partitions.. can i do the same process without lose data or the partition get formatted
Yes as long as you only delete the non C or data partitions.
Wow, thanks brother, very clear tutorial ❤️❤️❤️
Glad I could assist.
Thank you so much sir with lots of love from India. You have help me a lot 🙏🙏🙏
Glad it helped!
Thanks bro, you're an absolute legend.
Glad I could help!
That was exactly what i was looking for thank you so much!
Glad to help out.
Excellent video by a professional. When you are not familiar with all the commands and back doors you have to watch several times. I did manage to remove the Partition restore in my (C) drive and gained the whole 2 TB back. I finished by setting a restore point with a highlighted Drive (C) and create a restore by clicking. Only problem is I don't see the name on any of the drives now even though I received a success restore. I named it as you did with restore plus a date but it does not show up anywhere as it did before deleting it. Is that because it is at the end of the disk now out of sight?
Thanks for watching. It will only show up in Computer Management under disk storage as it is now a hidden partition.
Thank you Soo much finally done it after searching the solution for 2 hours❤❤
Glad it helped
This was ultra helpful and clear!!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks it worked perfectly and solved the problem. Big thumps up
You're welcome!
Thanks a lot. Is there any disadvantage of deleting the recovery partition?
I was worried about that but I haven't found any issues.
Thank you so much, have been trying for days to fix my C drive, so I can double boot to run some older programs that will not run in Windows 10
You might also mention to run cmd as administrator
Glad it helped! and good tip.

Hi. This video helped me clean up the partitions, but I can't expand the primary partition the way you did. My unallocated space partition is located to the left of the primary one and when I try to expand, it gives me a warning message saying the operation will convert those basic disks to dynamic ones which doesn't sound good. What should I do in this situation?
I would convert to dynamic. It won't hurt anything.
@@techpub It says if I do it, I won't be able to run any versions of Windows from that disk that are already installed on it.
thanks, clear and precise.
Glad it was helpful!
That was really helpful thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you very much. You wouldn't believe how many help articles there are out there telling you to go buy 3rd party software for this nonsense. That "override" part is the key element that no one tells you about.
Glad to help.
Thank you so much. It really worked for me!
Glad it helped!
