This is such a work of art. It was originally a rap song written by Jay Chou. This is not HuaHua's story. The song choice was given to HuaHua as part of the show and he had only 24 hours to learn, rearrange, rehearse, etc before the performance. After this performance, they asked him how he managed to turn Jay Chou into Hamlet. Hua ChenYu replied that he usually sings as his way of telling a story, but for this, he decided to tell a story as his way of singing. It all amounts to one of the most powerful, emotional musical performances I've ever seen. ❤❤❤

He chose this by his own, not be forced, the program doesn't force the singers, they chose whatever they want, just not sing over than 2 of their own songs.

He didn't write this song, but in a video I watched of his, he spoke about seeing things as a child no child should see and it's known he was a lonely and insecure child, so basically it may not be "his story" but I do think he can relate to the lyrics and totally felt the emotions to some extent. this meaningful rearrange song has many dispute as this is a new style show in tv. but nevertheless Hua Chenyu rearrange a rap to a slow talking& sing definitely let audience get emotion & more get in touch for the lyrics--family violence.
At first Chenyu said it wasn't his story, he just related to many people who went through domestic violence. Later, Hua Chenyu said his dad wasn't good at all to his mom or himself. After years, they divorced. He looked up for his dad and they reconciled. His dad has another family and he has a 4 y.o. half-sister he loves much. Hua Chenyu didn't give details of the familiar problems he had, but we can guess.
It didn’t actually happen to him, but the thing that actually happened is that his mom left him and his dad when he was about two years old. I know that is a very awful experience but it actually happened. Therefore that is also why hua hua used to be suffered from depression for a long time ( actually he has been suffered from depression during his whole fucking childhood) 😱fucking sad😭 okay anyways, he is always being the best singer ever💙 This is my first time to watch ur video, I love it and I believe it’s gonna be great to subscribe u.
