Getting ripped out of witchspace and being scanned from behind, only to turn around and come face to face with a giant alien robo-bug-flower-ship that suddenly started pulsing red and *screaming* at me through the vacuum of space before utterly shredding my defenseless, stripped-for-exploration Krait Phantom is, perhaps, one of the most uniquely terrifying things to happen to me in Elite Dangerous, despite me knowing full well that it was going to happen sooner or later once I picked up that Sensor.
I've yet to have that experience, I can't wait to have my first hyperdiction. Although I'm gonna not be carrying anything (hopefully) that provokes the aforementioned screaming and shooting!
@@sharlin648 its pretty easy to get hyperdicted, although its pretty annoying because as soon as you pick up the thargoid sensor and enter hyperspace you are *permanently* marked for hyperdiction and they can end up just being time wasters As for not being blown to shreds, dont carry any thargoid cargo or Meta-Alloys. While I don't know if you can hear them with a Canopy breach, since that's the closest we get to actual sound traveling through space, the fact you can hear these things in general should scare you
how almost every sound in elite dangerous is explained is by the ship picking up radio signals, converting them into noise, then transferring them into your headset
The ships have like a sorta tech that can pick up sounds, I think something simular exited in real life too. (It was made by nasa used to record sounds from planets.) When the thargoids breach the cockpit I think you stop hearing them.
