That's probably for the best.

I wonder which of these scenarios will be the most likely outcome of Crypto Island:
1. Fentanyl ODs leading to arrests and long sentences in a foreign jail.
2. Cryptobro knife fight at a beach party resulting in death.
3. Pirates.

Fentanyl? Nah man, these are opiate pill bros for sure. You can just feel the “I take OxyContin with alcohol to party” vibe wafting off of them

I did not expect gambling to be illegal in Fiji, but it certainly shows how incredibly stupid this idea is. I don't know what drugs you have to be on to get this far into a project and even fail at the most basic checks. It's like trying to open a cannabis store in the UK and be surprised why the cops are your first customers.
Haha, exactly correct. It never occurred to me that gambling would be illegal in fiji, but that just makes this project more hilarious

Gotta love the dude that came back in the asset tweet and asked, "What's the age of consent in Cryptoland again?"
also - pretty sure u can't defame an island... i expect actual lawyers will agree
@@defaultdamaja, mayhaps, but I think the argument would go more towards the business and not the land. Regardless, a lot of statements made by the community were them refeeding Cryptoland's own comments and logic back at them, or remarking on their oversight of very basic ideas. Idk if the community defamed the project as much as Cryptoland defamed themselves. Idr because the topic is so far in the past that I could be very mistaken.
So, if someone owns the Earth 2 tiles for the Island, does that mean they technically own Cryptoland already?
No, but they can make their "own" Holo-Cryptoland.
According to your question, I think they own Cryptoland2 tiles
But you need to ask non-financial advisor Arya2 non-realty
Paying for the tile(s) that contain that island would be the ultimate speculative investment. It's a huge gamble that the land will even be purchased to be turned into Cryptoland, and then you have to trust that Earth 2 will work out as well. You just know someone out there is thinking it's a good idea right now. Bet the tile sells haha. RIP that poor fool
No because you dont own anything other than tiles on a grid. The map behind the grid is totaly irrelevant to the grid.
They own cryptoland 2. It's truely the future.
Companies who take legal ways instantly when someone says their opinion about their project make them look shady.

I hope Carlos Matos sues and manages to win before the creators inevitably fall of the face of the earth with the money. He already lost his life savings to another scam and making an example of cryptoland in court would be a worthy redemption arc.

I just can't wait for Internet Historian episode on this place. It will be epic.
He did come to my mind during Kiras first episode
Unfortunately it probably won't even get far enough to be interesting. All that's going to happen is they are going to mint some NFTs and then just disappear with the money. Once those NFTs get sold we're never going to hear about Cryptoland again.
Scammers: DO YUOR OWN RESERCH!!!1!
Everyone else: Careful what you wish for.

They could start by building themselves a fully historical castle using historical methods (through unpaid labour of archeology and engineering students) for a fraction of the cost (partially covered by a grant) and turn it into a crypto-feudal-domain to try the idea first but scaling doesn't matter when you're trying to pull off a scam.
@@danielc9967 So, a scam, then?

Regarding the age of consent tweet, even with the most benign interpretation they are completely off base. In most jurisdictions, a child cannot decide without consent from their legal guardians to go to some remote island.
Some countries have lower AOC for example in Europe the average is usually 16 in some south American countries it goes from 15 to 16 so the tweet might be refering to people from those countries.
But then again how many teenagers are crypto millionaires Let alone interested in investing?
You could probably count it on your hand Something is definitely Sus about that tweet.
@@abhorrentweeaboo4104 There are even lower ones, if memory serves, in my country (still Europe), the universal AOC is 14, but if all participants are below 14, then it goes down to 12. So, teenagers doing the dirty so to speak is pretty normal here, nobody bats an eye if some 15 or 16 old already had sex.
With that being said, the tweet is still shady af, because pedos often use that line of logic to somehow convince themselves that preteen little kids in the single digit age group can consent...
I doubt the island will be outside the law of Fiji. Yeah they 'bought the island' but I'm sure Fiji will retain legal authority over the island. That said it's probably a moot point as it will never happen anyway
If a parent still has to sign a permission slip to authorize a school to take their child on a field trip to a museum, a remote island is completely out of the question. But yeah, that tweet is incredibly sus considering they didn't provide that initial context the first time around, the question was AOC _within_ Cryptoland, not _to go to_ Cryptoland, and mental maturity would have nothing to do with going to a location out of home.
I'll stick with the science of mental development, rather than looking for legal loopholes for children to f_ck.
Perfect timing, nothing fun in my subscription feed: Kira to the rescue. Thanks for making these videos, I thouroghly enjoy them!
Kira is not an architect , not an architectural advisor .
I didn't think you would ever top your Earth2 commentary but here we are . Magnificent content .
Ever since I saw the Cryptoland video, I kept thinking about the "Prince Ali" song that they did. It really is a fitting song choice for Cryptoland because in the movie "Aladdin", the song not only represents showing off material wealth but also represents living a lie. Prince Ali was nothing more than a facade to impress Princess Jasmine. Similarly, I believe Cryptoland is just a facade to try and impress the average internet user into buying into it.
Seeing This Comment Now Is Making Me Wonder- Is This Like That "Hand Gesture Thing" From That Wolf Of Wall Street Movie Where It Is A Message (For Those "In The Know" So To Speak) That "Yes, This In Fact All A Lie And We'll Be Rich From It!", Or Is It Just Complete And Utter Coincidence That The Song They Randomly Chose Happened To Symbolically Fit The Project In Such A Way?
Your comment is unreadable. Don't capitalize every word.
Edit: Removed after clarification! The license has been updated since it was used by Cryptoland.
The license was changed after this video was made and the asset was used, so the license they were using is the one the usage would fall under actually. Credit would be enough if they adhered to said license prior to that change.
@@KiraTV1 Ah, thanks for the clarification! Removed my comment.
For me personally, lying about your team is a MAJOR problem and the biggest. You're either putting people's name on a project who are no longer affiliated or is in a very minor way. Thats crazy deceptive and should be a major red flag to any investor that they do not have nearly enough experienced staff to pull this off. Lying about the staff is a major problem because to an investor, let's say they told me for this project they had a leading architect that I'm well aware of and knows they do great work only to find out they maybe took some consulting work for them but is otherwise not involved in the project. I would be fuming and demanding my money back because the person or people I'm expecting to work on this project was falsely represented to me. Just like that any trust in the company is gone. You CANNOT lie about who is in your company and how much experience you honestly have on your team. Your staff is the key to the project. Without it your project is dead in the water.
Seems a lot of smaller & indie studios actually do this, including some that have went on to release noteable and well received games. Pretty easy to understand the motivation hahahah. Like all of the Indie RPGs that market working with former Interplay & Bioware developers

Finding out that gambling is illegal in Fiji was the cherry on the top. 🤣
Crowd funding purchasing an island seems possible but this island is completely undeveloped it's going to take waaaay more money to build the sort of thing they selling than however much they might be able to get
I was the one who found that out. By the way, Witchcraft and Sorcery are also illegal in Fiji LOL
As it happens, buying an island in some third world shithole is relatively cheap, comparable to buying agricultural land per area. However constructing buildings takes actual laboir and resources, and who woulda thunk, costs actual money. Even in third world shitholes, because people with marketable skills, and heavy equipment, such as that needed for construction, is still valuable evwn in a shithole, and wont be priced aignificantly lower.
And even if you opt for building the place out of flimsy prefabs, to look like some second rate east european music festival, you have to buy transport, set up, and maintain that equipment.
And then you didnt even conaider shit like having emergency personell on standby, or security, or hell, even catering, or cleaning.
Hell, I would be sceptical of such a project, if it came from people with experience in organising shit like this, and being centrally funded. This is worse than a joke, because some people took it seriously.
@@Vincent_Van_Vega
Why do you keep spamming comments about you finding it out? I feel like others likely found out alongside you as well, even if they didn't directly send the information to a source to amplify it. But considering the whole crypto-bro community it's hardly surprising.
It's crypto. It's basically made up of scams, pump and dump, ponzi schemes and theft.
I get the feeling that they think that if you buy an island, you're a new country and don't have to obey the laws (of in this case, Fiji). Rather than they've just bought some land within a country.
Either that, or they're hoping to repeat the success foreign businessmen had in overthrowing the Hawaiian Kingdom.
Would that be possible somewhere in the world? Is every land area under the sovereignty of some country, and if yes, are any typically willing to let an island go?
But then even if they could actually just start their own country somehow, would it be legitimized by other countries? Would there be anything preventing armed forces just rolling up on the beaches of this island nation and declaring it theirs xD?
