God, this was wondeeful, an english reviewer who does speak absolutely clear and not too fast, so foreiners can understand it. It helps to train the ear like from a teacher. Thank you very much and thanks for the review too of course! :)
There is no way to adequately thank you for all of this. Just know, in the words of a South African battle surgeon who traveled to every ugly place on Earth with me, she saw it all (you know what I mean); "... end of day, you made a difference. Now put the beer down and do it again tomorrow." Highest compliment I ever had. You are that guy in this RUclips world. Many thanks.
As an amateur paranormal investigator I want something that can show me of any potential human or animal threats in the dark. Very advantageous if you enter a structure and can tell if a squatter or animal was in the area based on it's heat signature. Is the shadow ahead of you living or not. What would you recommend?
Really liked you adressing the FOV and pixel situation, makes sense now. Not that i'm in the market for buying one, but was curious about the basic workings of these type of cameras. Keep it up!
I just ordered the flir tg 165 for trouble shooting and inspecting solar inverters and electrical equip. Thanks for the videos. Helped me a lot. My company has a fluke but it's out for re calibration so I needed something I could afford and still get my work done.
In the first minute I thought this would be too much techinical mambo jambo but as it went it was all so clear! Thank you so much! You saved me a lot off trouble & money with this video. I know know what I need for my specific application! *Phew*
"Daddy, that guy has lots of stuff on his table. There's a mess on that table." "Yes, daddy wants that mess." "Oh." (Conversation with my three year old.) Nice job, I always enjoy your videos, and today my daughter enjoyed one with me. :-)
+Ethan Blanton LOL...that put a smile on my face! Thanks for the post. You can tell your daughter "that guy" needs to clean up the mess soon or Santa will not be visiting this year!
Hi, I have watched quite a few of your vid's. FANTASTIC. Thank you so much for your professional approach to your subject matter. You just saved me Zillions of hours of research in my quest for a PCB/Fault camera. Love your work, David (From "Downunder")
15:45 "As bad as 1°C???" But from flir website the C5 Accuracy: 0 to 100°C (32 to 212°F): *±3°C* So if 1°C is bad, then flir C5 must be a worthless camera.
@jimh6189: I understand your confusion. @15.45 he explains the resolution (sensitivity), the smallest measurable temperature difference between the measuring points. 0.2 degree is much better than 1 degree. @16.58 he explains the accuracy, the difference between measured temperature and actual temperature. This is in the order of plus or minus 2 or 3 degrees. A third parameter would be reproducibility, but that is beyond this test.
I'm looking for a device to detect underfloor water leakage or sewage leakage . What would you suggest. As in specifications or model. I need to penetrate max of 1.5 meter of rubble or concrete
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) restriction part of arms control Act. so foreigners or foreign governments can't use to for surveillance o missiles etc.
Can you recommend me a decent ir camera that I can generate a report with. Without breaking the bank of course? We want to see heat loss of a building. Will be what it's used for.
Hi, What would be the best unit to detect termites and wood borer bugs in woods found in the houses and or in logs yet to be processed. Which gives the best inspection distance and have sufficient resolution to identify what it is or at least provide the more clear image of what is providing the heat. This would be my main use but other used opportunities will become of interest, i'm sure. Could you please provided your opinion...? Thank you George
hi mjlorton . I need your help. may you suggest me a thermal camera suits for my project . I just want to record the thermal data around dental implant drill while working on the jaw bone. (photo and live video) I need to gather the heat data on top and down the 10 mm implant drilling hole. beside this, the price is essential due to our budget. thnx for your kind attention
Hello, I'm looking for a camera that has a long shutter speed to look at mountainsides for temperature differences. Do you know which one would be best? I suppose it does not need to be a really good one, because it does not have a short shutter speed like the pros use. But likely it needs an adjustable shutter speed and every pixel needs uniform sensitivity. It also probably needs a long focal length or range. Would you be able to point me in the right direction, I'm looking for something less than $300?
thanks! great video! !! Its January 2017---So if I have $1,500 what is the best bang for the buck? for resolution, depth. As a bee keeper/remover etc I basically want to look in walls, trees etc for bees. Instead of IPHONE 7plus (plug in kind) would like a separate unit. I like the feature that I could see studs in wall also.
It may be long but video should be all in one a lot easier when youtube is busy suggesting other videos to watch instead of the second or 2rd part. Lengh is irrelevant not like youtube limits you on how big a video can be.The content however, is excellent well spoken very informative.
What do u think of the Snapon thermal imager, is it rubbish or is it really worth the money It says it can read 850 F I am a mechanic, I need of some advice in determining the best quality and value for me Thank you
Hello,I´m going for a Safari guide course. So if I buy a Thermal Camera it would be to search for animals at night. I would like to be able to identify the animal easily. What camera would you recommend. I´m not looking o spend loads of Money...
Good informative review. And delighted to see that Dan is still alive and well - how on earth does he occupy himself while waiting for you to release another video for him to criticise? :)
Awesome video mate. You ought to do a head to head video between the Seek Thermal Pro(320x240)76,800 pixals VS. Therm-App 25HZ(35mm). Would love to see these two beasts head to head.
Amazing video, thanks for sharing! Can one measure stresses in concrete due to Post Tension cables ( some areas in the concrete have differential stresses) ? Thanks, again; I watch lots of videos for additional information, and you are one of the best explaining things out in the net!
the first many minutes, i thought yes, wauue thats gotta be an awesome video about all these wicked thermal cams, but now im 2/3 in, and its just that dudes face over and over, hearing him self talk. but maybe in part2 or 3 he will get down to these items and demonstrate there pro & cons. It would be so great if you could perhaps just show the items while talking, instead of 97% of the video your face. ?? (// my bad, you do exactly that in the following videos with comprihensiv insight, into each product while displaying them and huge thumps up to this 3part video +1 x3) apreciated, keep up the good work mjlorton.)

Prezado amigo, mjlorton, sou inscrito assiduo no seu canal e quero dizer que a maior vontade da minha vida é possuir um monóculo térmico americano Flir Scout Tk. If you could separate 'must know' information from 'nice to know' information, you presentations would be much better...and shorter. In trying to do your best to give every detail, you really do talk a lot (very verbose) more than you might realise.

+mjlorton Maybe I can use that to get her to pick up her own toys. "See, +mjlorton has to clean up if he wants Santa to come, too!"
Sir, that was well said, edited into an interesting and highly informative video. Thank you for your time.
