Keep doing the paranormal stuff. I enjoy it. Two I just watched on HBO max were Alien Abduction: Betty and Barney Hill and Alien Abduction: Travis Walton.

I’ve seen house painters use a feather to simulate faux marble columns. Dip and drag.
Another method is spray paint in a bucket of water. Spray the paint on the water, swirl with a stick then dip the part down on top of the swirling paint. I’ve used black, white, forest green and gold for the Mobieus Bride and Monster base the couch sits on. The paint job looks pretty good but it’s totally hidden by the couch. A bit of a waste of time. Hahaha.

There was kit I used to use many years ago I got from Home Depot. It involved squirting colors on a paper plate in circular pattern . Then using a sponge to dab into paint and apply then use a feather included to put lines in it.

Great Movie. Glad it was just different than the usual crap that has come out recent. Keep doing the UFO stuff.

Last to comment on MCTV#87, first to comment on this (have to make this fast - I enter chaos again tomorrow morning).
Straight away though - only 30 seconds in - have to say how dapper Brian presents in his golfing cap - my goodness - he almost looks civilised! ( I did say *_almost_* )
I'll pick up the rest in the week - will Brian get a "hole in one"? - or is that Scott's job with Jason's M- (never mind).

Forgot to leave my comment, my soundtrack growing up would have been SW: Return of the Jedi, though SW was heavily designed as a space opera, for me, I could just listen to the CDs(and did), and know exactly what was on screen for most of the music cues.

1.Silverado and The Lord of the Rings trilogy are amazing scores.
2.Brian, Last Man Down is another foreign Rambo type movie but set in modern day. Leaving Netflix soon, though. You might like it. Then Polar which is ultra violent but a great story.
3.Jason, go to a flooring store to look at marble. There are about 1000 different colors, veining, and patterns. You might find one without too much mica that has the look you are after without worrying about the sparkle.

Knew there was something about Bryan I liked. He's a Pittsburgh fan. I was a Steelers fan for around 40 years, until I gave up on football all together when they made it wimpy.
Only sport I watch now is hockey. Pens all the way.
For that base, I've seen furniture painters use a feather to paint the lines to simulate marble.
For the sparkle, use some pearl medium. Maybe do that first then paint on top of it with transparents. That would knock the sparkle back to something more realistic.
Yeah, Primal is not a multi-tasking show. One of the reasons it took me so long to get through it. Most of my viewing of anything is done while doing other stuff. But you have to watch and pay attention. It is so worth it though.

It's NOT *_football_* (blimmin' colonials!) - it's American rugby.

Surprised no one has mentioned the score of Star Wars (the original one).
    Conan is a no-brainer.
And best soundtrack is Heavy Metal. Hands down.

The Johnny Ringo. I said the same thing about the cord for the hat. At craft stores you can get various sizes of candle wicks. They have a small wire in them that allows it to bent but it looks more like small rope. That was what I was going to use on mine

Thanks for the tip. I didn’t think of that. Won’t it be too thin though? I was thinking maybe some sort of string. Cross stitch or embroidery.

@@brianclark2696 They make it in different thicknesses. Plus it has that thin zinc core. That allows you to bend and it holds it shape. I just looked at what I had on had. It looks to be about the right size. It's off white in color so a little dark wash is probably all you'd need

Well - I was too burnt out to make any progress on the items I was supposed to today, so, once I gave in trying to *_“get in the zone”_* , you got my undivided attention . . . and I thank you both for that.
This’ll be a long one (totally nothing to do with SJ & JM).
Brian - great job on the fleshtones on the Supes kit. Looking forward to seeing the finished item (I’m not a fan of the character - but I do enjoy the builds you both share).
*_Question_* - what is the difference between “soundtrack”, “score” and main signature tune/theme? - because depending on which you focus on, I’d come up with differing “top tens”. I have a TON of faves - most of which are associated with my favourite movies, however, since you both mentioned one, I’ll immediately call out Basil Poledouris’ music from 1982’s *_“Conan the Barbarian”_* - PERFECT throughout - *_EVERY. SINGLE. NOTE !_* )
33:15 - 38:35 - That's 5 minutes of my life I'll never get back. Having heard that the OAP (I may have altered that 🙂) “paranormal stuff” gets announced in waves, it basically means that some episodes of *_“A Model & A Movie”_* , will have to fill the segment with something equally interesting. I did a quick survey, and the top 3 suggestions (from people who should know better) were:
    • Elbow patches and how to grade them by taste.
    • Circular snail slime in Western movies (AKA “happy trails”).
    • And of course, the timeless debate: Buttons - how many holes *_SHOULD_* they have?
*_"SISU"_* is an awesome movie - watched it for the 2nd time last week. *_REALLY_* entertaining (you have to suspend belief - but still - great fun!)
    Regarding *_“The Creator”_* :
First of all - thanks for finally reviewing a movie *WORTH* watching (OK - there have been some other fun ones scattered in the last 13 I suppose 😇 ) - I saw it about 6 weeks back, so it’s fresh enough in my mind to appreciate your more recent analysis. I liked it too - gets an *_"A"_* or *_"A-"_* from me also. I’ll certainly watch it again anyways!
I found bits (especially in the first 30mins) a bit confusing, but I think most of that was intentional, as there are lots of clever twists & turns throughout. Amazing cinematography, visuals & design, great acting, original ideas, and some really emotional moments. One of my fave (and most shocking) bits was one of the scenes YOU raised - the bomb robots that ran across the bridge - so cool! (very *_“heavy metal”_* - in more ways than one 😁).
OH - and (for Lemmy’s sake!) - JASON - It’s Ken Watanabe NOT Ken Wontonarby - he’s an actor, *_NOT_* a menu item from a Chinese burger joint 😈
Wonderful to see you both (especially Jason!) *_SO_* excited and enthused about a film - so thanks again to both of you for helping me wind down today via your cheerful, knowledgeable, and relaxed style of presentation - I needed that - *_very_* much appreciated.
PS: I seem to remember *_“Cocaine Bear”_* being entertaining enough - I’ll re-watch it before AMAAM#15 😀. I’ve seen some entertaining clips from *_“Whiplash”_* - but the topic isn’t interesting enough for me to watch the entire movie.
    .

Lot's to respond to here but I gotta keep it short right now. For me and I could be wrong, a soundtrack are songs in movie,. Examples would be Guardians of the Galaxy or Pulp Fiction. A score is exactly what you mentioned, Conan the Barbarian, which is in my top ten for sure. It's perfect in every way. I'll go find a proper definition before next episode.
And I don't see a difference between wantan and wonton ... it's a Chicaaaaago thing

My top movie scores are from Blade Runner, Conan the Barbarian, and Excalibur. Imagine Blade Runner with a mediocre soundtrack. Vangelis's music raises the movie to a different level.
