I wanted to thank Brian for suggesting HPIGuys. He’s right about the calming nature of watching him build and paint his kits. The music is the key I think. I seem to ear worm it often. 😊
Nice. He doesn’t need any help with subscribers since he has 30K+. There is something about the spray paint and the covering of the kits. I don’t even have the sound on.
Everyone has movies & music that touches their hearts - and we all have that right to be true to ourselves. It also takes courage to share publicly what & why those choices are made, possibly exposing yourselves to ridicule. So, under circumstances where I am but a faceless keyboard, and you shared your souls, I feel it would be disrespectful to point out what strange selections you both made. So I won’t. Promise. Scouts honour. PS: I was never a Scout, and I think I may have just redefined the word *_“possibly”_* . PPS: I still *_REALLY_* enjoyed this - no matter *HOW* strange you both are 🙂 PPPS: I *STILL* think Cohen is *_“music to cut your wrists to”_* 😈 I’ll stop here, in case you think I’m taking the P’s 😇 .
We are weird. Never claimed to be anything else. That being said, music and movie choices are individual choices. I am sure you have talked to someone and they said to listen to a band and you couldn’t make it through a song. I tell my daughter, if you like something, own it. No shame in liking what others don’t. I actually have some Britney Spears on my Spotify. It is what it is. Hahaha
AMT Car kits are super cheap, sadly I fear I've been spoiled too much by Bandai and decent/modern engineering... From the lists of movies... I think I've only heard of a handful let alone seen them... fun show like always
The crow is one of my favorites. And, you throw music discussion in and I can talk literally all day. One of my favorite movie soundtracks is Grind, and this isn’t a movie but Sons Of Anarchy has a GREAT soundtrack (maaaaaybe considered a score?) with a lot of covers that I actually love. And I usually hate covers. I agree with you, Reservoir dogs is great too.
When I saw your Godzilla print at Wonderfest I sent a picture of it to my wife. She is a fan and immediately sent me. Message to buy it. I was told I got the last one. No regrets. Unfortunately I still have not built it.
I'm in the eclipse path as well. Work is shutting down at 11 that day. They are expecting so much traffic in the area, it's supposed to be insane. Bryan, you are being optimistic with your arrival time. If you are leaving Cleveland around 2, you are gonna hit some nasty traffic on the way down. Especially on a Friday. And leaving on Sunday has to suck. I did that my first year and swore, never again. Though we did leave like midnight Sunday in 08, but that was the remodel year, and there was NOTHING going on and there was no point sticking around. I'm with Jason. I love looking at the monster rods, but have no desire to build any except the one Go-Kart I have. Which is odd, because I do like doing the Ed Roth kits and need to get more. I still use Purple Power to strip as well. I keep wondering if a sonic cleaner would be worth the investment (cost and space). I don't strip much really, but I was thinking more about spray paint nozzles. That's it for me tonight. I need to go to bed. Will pick up with the music discussion in the morning.
The heart likes what the heart likes. I think since we are both teachers and I am a coach, we can connect with Whiplash more on an emotional level. The hype for Cocaine Bear probably killed it for me.
Atlantis models is re-releasing the old Aurora cave bear plastic kit, that would be easy to make a cocaine bear. No Repo Man for soundtrack? Come on! 😅

@@modelclubtv My son loved that movie. He was/is a huge Korn fan so that pulled him in. That was his 'The Crow'. So it was on, a lot. That kind of hooked me on the music.
I'm someone who stays up til about 1 and my alarm goes off at 6:30. When you have been talking all day at work to try and record at 8 and 9 o'clock, it's hard. My brain is mush by then

Great list! I gotta go back and re-listen to some of these. Dead Man is such a great movie. I am pretty sure I own Forbidden Planet vinyl or almost bought it. If I got to pick 10, Blade Runner would've been on my list.
@KendellConiff 0 seconds ago Dead Man is awesome! Iggy Pop in drag and Nobody and the Neal Young Guitar soundtrack! Love it. Imagine Blade Runner without the Vangelis Soundtrack. It wouldn't have nearly the impact. I think it elevates the movie to another level. Blade Runner, to me, exceeds the sum of it's parts@@modelclubtv
I don’t know much about TM as a person but Audioslave is a great band.
Thanks for the mention! Wolf Man’s Wagon is the absolute worst.

Great show guys. Yeah it was a little longer episode but fun! 😁

Enjoyed the episode… Thank you both. Love the superman build up Brian. 👌👌 Definitely Spaceman. Loved it.

Boss Level, great movie with awesome special effects
You totally need to do the live stream on the drive down. It will be just like an episode of Keep up Appearances.
It would be a collection of salt shakers. Seriously. Scott has so many.

I haven't painted mine either :( thank you again for buying it!

Problem with a sonic cleaner for stripping garage key ta for me is that they just aren't big enough.
Spaceman is different once you get past the alien on board. I can't believe you guys didn't like Cocaine Bear more but get a hardon for Whiplash!
The heart likes what the heart likes. I think since we are both teachers and I am a coach, we can connect with Whiplash more on an emotional level. The hype for Cocaine Bear probably killed it for me.
Great Superman build up Brian! Whiplash is a masterpiece. Cocain bear could have been a new cult classic horror comedy but alas far from it
I agree. I was let down. Maybe I built it up too much in my head. But, I still enjoyed aspects of it.
Atlantis models is re-releasing the old Aurora cave bear plastic kit, that would be easy to make a cocaine bear.

I have that on DVD, I need to go back and watch it, it's been a while.
