@Brian Cameron actually many of these states are in the least educated/lowest IQ states. 9/10 states with low IQ/education are Republican states & 9/10 smartest/most educated states are blue. Also more red states have higher amounts of welfare expenditures. Plus 4/5 top healthiest states are Democratic and 5/5 of the least healthiest states are Republican. Also some of the states with the highest numbers of veteran suicides are Republican (it was either 5/7 or 6/7 states with highest #s were red). And yes lower cost of living = lower wages. Only state I’ve been to on that list is South Dakota. It’s a nice clean state with very friendly folks. But stay away from the Indian Reservations, they have lots of issues and problems. I think the nicest city I was at was the state capitol, Pierre. It’s in a valley with lots of trees.
I guess the would have issues since they had their land stolen from them and are forced to live lije that unless they leave the reservation

Umm. I live outside of Nashville, TN and my 950 soft, 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment is $1432. TN is not cheap. My electric bill is usually $140 per month too, and that’s with watching my power usage. In SC I only paid $930 for a 2 bedroom and about $65 a month for electric, also no tax on groceries in S.C.
Agree. Chattanooga rents are insane- even in the suburbs and smaller cities surrounding it.

Tennessee makes up for no state income tax by having the highest sales tax in the nation and an fairly high ad valorem tax, and property tax.

YIKES! This is my list of states I have never had ANY desire to go to! (Except for South Dakota)
IF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN HERE HOW DO YOU KNOW? JUST ASKING.......BECAUSE THAT WAS A REALLY DUMB STATEMENT!!!!!!
Simple, you earn less , you pay less slow pace. You earn more and you pay more, fast pace . Decide what you want to do.
Not in Florida! Low wages and very high rent! They think because of beaches it's ok to raise rents!
Brandi Mcnair that is absolutely correct.
That may be true, but in most states, including mine, the expensive taxes and high rents, doesn't go well with incomes. The same people who raise minimum wage, raise the taxes just as fast... And we are already the 5th highest taxed state in the US...
Naw....not true! I've lived in plenty of places...Dallas, Seattle. ..etc...pay may be a bit higher but still doesn't come close to cost of living. For regular people anyways
Slow pace
If I had to pick between one of those 10 states I would definitely choose Ohio!
Recently went to TN and they had huge mansions in the smoky mountains...depends on where you live I guess in the state because those houses and private communities with golf courses were gorgeous 🤩 and didn’t look poor and rugged at all
@Bradley Cheese Pepperoni I know the feeling, traveling and seeing other states it’s like spinning your wheels waiting for the right time to uproot!
Mississippi is lovely and filled with polite, generous people. I would love to live there.
I am with you about MS.
But some questions.
Is Land & farm cheap??
Depends on where you buy. Check out dougrushingrealty.com for housing and land in the southwest part of the state. You would be within an easy drive to New Orleans and Hattiesburg.
Very informative video and it’s inviting to live where housing is easily affordable.
My home in southern california is valued at 620k, it was 470k when i got it and i got about 90k more to go 😐💀.
I worked 2 jobs for 5 years 😂... i quit my 2nd job last year. I dont make much now by southern California standards, 42k after tax.
There's still no other place i'd rather be and ive traveled. Mountains, beaches, sports, top notch attractions in music, great college system, and more.
We've got a ton of issues but i wont get political 😁.

Soon California is going to be added to that list since everyone is leaving and unlimited homeless are there.
FFWR- 108 except for Charleston that has become as expensive as NYC
CA will only become more expensive unless they do something about taxes, spending. $ is lost when producers leave the state.
Lol everyone is leaving ? Then why is the state still adding population in every city except LA. Which has a population of over 4 million. I’ll wait.

And of course, everyone isn't leaving, that would not be possible with any land on earth. But there is an exodus happening in California. Not going to debate why but the fact is Yes, there is an exodus in California. Now theres one thing that could help your point....the people that aint leaving in quarantine will have more babies. So new births might make up the population leaving numbers. But it doesn't take away the fact that higher than average people are leaving California.
In Los Angeles California a studio apartment ranges 1200-2000 yup just for a studio. West Virginia here I come.

Radio says Tennessee is drawing more people because of low living costs. More people going their rather than Florida or Arizona when retiring or looking for work.
They'll get you in food tax, property and utility taxes in TN.
We’re hoping to move out of Tennessee due to rising prices. You can’t get a decent apartment for less than $1,000 a month. It’s beautiful, and so much to do, but not for us anymore.
Your info is incorrect.
A one bedroom apartment in Boston, in a so so neighborhood is now over $3000. It’s awful when you’re forced to leave the area you grew up because it’s so outrageously expensive.
This puts things in perspective.
Prices ib California
Cardboard box-$500 a month
A blanket-$ 1750 a month
A 1 bdrm house and 1 bathroom-$9.9 mln
Here in Georgia my Utilities 4 years ago was $200,00 a month cause the house was built in 1925 if you live anywhere else here the Utilities would be insane much higher
holly hell
I live in northwest Arkansas but find Oklahoma cheaper. I pay $850 a month for a three bedroom duplex with two full baths. I find the cheapest decent 3bd 2bath homes sell for a minimum of 150k. Not sure why our gas is almost always more than Oklahoma.
So basically every Southern State
No, basically, everything East of the Mississippi River.
@@Nate-xm1ms South Dakota's not east of the Mississippi
South Dakota born and bred...honestly a pretty great place to live. Winter is basically 5 to 6 months long however. Tough to live in the biggest city. Sioux Falls. Housing is very expensive.
I’ve heard good things about SD. That’s why it’s population is growing and it’s becoming more popular overall for its relative affordability and good quality of life for its residents.
You guys are definitely doing something right over there!
My hometown Bardstown, Ky is nothing like it was when i was growing up in the 90's. I miss the small town feel that its slowly losing. Everyone wants a bit of the slower lifestyle. some of my neighbors are from the Bronx and Brooklyn, New York. Said they love having acres of land and your not right up your neighbors ass. I honestly couldn't imagine living in a big city.
I love the background music!!
I'm surprised Texas isn't on the list, there is so many people migrating to Texas it's getting packed
Getting packed and more expensive
It's crazy that the absolute cheapest state has a minimum required income of $48k . Most people don't make that. I have been a wildland firefighter, Park Ranger and worked at various factories and none of those jobs make that. And all those jobs had quite a bit of competition. In many cases having over 300 qualified applicants for a single position.
The number is only relative, many people still live well under this number. Thanks!
I live in a $ 625.00/mo 3BR house in GA with no stove. The sewer line backs up when it rains and it smells like a sewage plant. There`s a possum living under the house, rats in the house, and squirrels in the attic. Come on down it`s great fun!
A two bedroom apartment here in CO used to be around $700-800, now you can’t find a studio apartment for less than $900. It all changed when they legalized marijuana and when a lot of CA residents started moving in..😔
Yeah, it’s an extremely attractive state with a high quality of life, good education system, beautiful scenery for adventurous, outdoorsy people and known for being kind of hipster - but I do feel bad for the locals being priced out of the housing market by outsiders.
